《Laruse》Epilogue of Volume 1 Arc 1: Ambitions of a tyrant

"He left?! At such a crucial time, and without much detail except that he was going on an errand?! How irresponsible of him!" Claire fumed as she listened to Rayleigh's message from Larrus, one which Remuil's group and Marco listened to in earnest.
"I predicted as much to happen. Only I thought that he'd shift his priotrities here and on my goals for the city. I wonder what he plans to do now," said Marco, as he held his chin in wonder.
The initial shock had begun to go down, and the people understood well that fear will only grip them to the floor, making them unable to do anything but quiver. So they had resolved to put their best efforts forward for the sake of everyone.
"I say this without demeaning anyone, but if another threat comes, will we be able to handle it with Larrus's absence? I will confess that I myself am not that strong, yet I cling to the possibility of me becoming stronger. But for now, what do we do?" Andersen asked a question that made everyone wonder.
Roland and Johann were still bedridden, but on their way to recovery, they had no walls to defend them, the population of the city had plummeted greatly, and a shortage of men was a great concern. Zeal still faced a great hurdle before them.
"All we can do is keep our wits about us as to keep moving as one. I shall do my utmost to keep everyone safe," Marco said to ease everyone's nerves.
"Still, I can't believe he left without a goodbye at least. I kinda wanted him to teach me, but I guess that won't be happening anytime soon. I'll just have to start getting better, right Zafra? Robin?" Remuil optimistically said to the unenthusiastic man and the sleeping girl.

"I don't want any part of that. Do it on your own."
"Don't be shy. I know you want to. C'mon, let's start now why don't we?" Remuil ignored the rejection walking along the path leading outside with his ally in tow.
*sigh* "Can't get any sort of rest here," Zafra slumped his shoulders, following Remuil anyway.
As the discussion was going underway, Beatrice and Julia had their own discussions.
"What do you plan on doing now, princess?" asked Julia
"What we have promised to do all along. We retake what we have lost. I believe that we have let many wait for too long. Now is the time to cease running, and to prepare for the inevitable. Come, let us travel to Parylia and meet with our allies," Beatrice said with a surprisingly stern voice, different from her maiden in distress on.
"Won't you miss him? After all, you've decided that it would be him and no one else. He will be a great asset, and someone that can turn the tide drastically in our favor."
"I cannot stop a man who strives to make his own destiny. I can only watch him and support him. I believe that we and many other will be seeing him more often. That is what I see in his potential. Besides. This is our matter, and we must resolve to do it ourselves."
"Very well, let us leave while the monsters nearby are still tame. I will write a letter of farewell for Remuil and the others. I agree that preparations have to be made as well. There is no chance greater then now when Farron is against two odds. I only hope that we succeed with our objective."
"Believe, Julia. That is the power that can move people in great mysterious ways."
