《New World +》Ch.24 Waking up

as Andrew woke up he groggily looked around not quite sure of where he was he felt like shit and considering that he exploded probably looked like it as well.
'It's impressive that they built this so fast' Andrew thought as he observed the clay brick house he was in it was small about seven feet long and about four feet wide and tall enough for him to stand up in light entered into the small abode from small gaps that separated the clay brick walls from the roof. Looking at the roof Andrew could see that it was made from a series of rising logs with smaller ones vertically on them with clay shingles in between, looking down Andrew noticed he was laying on a wooden bed well it was more of a stretcher in his opinion a bunch of light logs woven together with a grassy mesh woven between.
'At least they let me have an actual blanket' andrew thought looking at its bright blue and flowered design. Turning away from that Andrew took some time to study the ground around him again mainly the fire places with currently had a fire going in it the dry logs occasionally sputtered and sparked while Andrew watched. sighing to himself Andrew rubbed his face with his hands... hands ...hand? Looking down Andrew tried to come to terms with what he was seeing as he did his mind was hit with an acute sense of pain.
"AAARGHHH!!!"
A was off Don wiped some sweat from his brow as he took a break from tilling, Maril was quite insistent that the engineers help her get her fields up, when he heard a familiar voice scream.
"Sounds like Andrews up." Don said smiling to himself taking a big stretch he felt a satisfying yet disturbing pop from his back before he went right back to work.

"How's it going." Rachal asked timidly testing the water as she walked into the hut.
"My hand." was the only response Andrew had as she set down the woven basket in her hands on.
'inshock that's to be expected.' Rachal thought as she took out a brightly colored fruit and started to cut it.
"Well that's what happens when you hold a live grenade in your hand just be glad that we fixed your face." Rachal said handing a piece of cut fruit to Andrew.
"Seriously I just lost my hand and that's what you have to say you asshole!" Andrew yelled glaring at her murderously as he waved away the offered food.
"Eh, It's not that big of a deal." Rachel shrugged as she took a bit out of the cut fruit in her hand.
"Not a big deal!" Andrew exclaimed flabbergasted.
"It will probably grow back so nothing to worry about." Rachal explained with a shrug.
"Probably....grow back what the fuck are you talking about this is a hand how would that even be possible!" Andrew sat up as he glared at her in derision.
"Magic." Rachal said as noncovalently as she could.
"Magic?" Andrew asked
"Magic" Rachal said with a slight smile.
"YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK YOU I'M GOING TO SULK HERE TILL SOMEONE ELSE COMES!" Andrew yelled before turn around in his bed.
"Oh come on don't act like that." Rachal said while poking Andrew in the back.
"leave me alone you bitch." Andrew barked.
"Now is that any way to talk to a lady Andrew." Rachal chided
"No its how you talk to a bitch thus the prefix bitch." Andrew replied sounding incredibly annoyed.
"I think you mean suffix there but even then bitch isn't even a suffix it's a noun actually now that..." Rachal started to say before Andrew interrupted her."Oh sweet merciful god you're enjoying this aren't you!" Having been accused Rachal just shrugged as she started cutting the fruit in her hand again "Maybe."

"Don't you have anything better to do than trolling some poor cripple." Andrew asked bitterly
"Hmm at the moment... there's trying to get an idiot that was in a coma for three days to eat something." Rachal answered while offering another piece of fruit "They taste like strawberries." she finished saying while shaking the fruit in andrews face like a treat.
"You are the worst kind of person just the worst." Andrew said as he took the piece of fruit and ate it.
"I'm sure it's a comfort to you to know you aren't alone." Rachal replied while Andrew chewed witch earned her a spectacular glare as she cut of another pieces from the fruit in her hand Maril was calling it a hardberry for some weird reason Rachal thought they had more in common with apples or pears then berries.
"Just give me the whole fruit." Andrew said after he finished the first pieces that she had given him. Shrugging she complied and tossed him the hardberry Andrew managed to catch it awkwardly fumbling it around for a bit before he got a good grip and took a bite. Rachal for her part just watched enjoying the pieces she just cut off of the fruit.
"So what else did you want." Andrew asked between bites.
"Not much just what to know how you're doing," Rachal answered as she bent down to take some water bottles from the basket she had set on the floor.
"I'm fine my severed hand feels like it's on fire but other than that I'll be ok." Andrew said as he caught the water bottle Rachal tossed to him he quickly opened it and drained half of its contents before he stopped for a breath.
"Your hand feels pain hu I've heard that phantom limbs are common but not phantom pain that could be a good thing Lee said that it would be painful for you to regrow an entire hand so that could mean that yours will grow back. Rachal said as she started to drink her on water.
"Right or I could just be cursed with the only known cases of phantom pain." Andrew sighed as he laid back down on his cot like bed.
"Well it wouldn't be unknown I'm sure if it's a thing some one knows about it" Rachal said with a pondering expression "Any way i'll get out of your hair now Emily and Lee said they be meeting with you soon after you've woken up so you can expect a visit." And with those parting words she left.
With Rachal gone Andrew just stared at the clay tiled roof over his head empty of thought he just stared taking in the feeling of smallness and vastness that such moments gave him before the sudden spike of pain from his nonexistent hand brought him back to his senses.
"ARGH, FUCK!"

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!

The Journey of a Lazy Magician
As the state of the world grew dangerous everyday as the Demon Lord whom have the capability to destroy the world, will be un-sealed soon and the attacks of the demon forces' became more frequent, what better time it would be to be held as one of the richest person in the world. Only a sane person with the right mind would do that. Having to acquire something before an inevitable and hopeless end is the best option rather than trying to find the solution for the end of the world. I mean, the device used to re-seal the Demon Lord is gone. It could be under the ocean for all we know so why waste you're energy on stupid things like that? Of course, why would I waste my energy to do my incredibly hard goal when I can have my fellow party members to do it. Saving their "lives" from lesser goblins using a stick as a weapon usually does the trick to get someone on board so I think I'm pretty much set. *The cover photo is mine :3* AN: And thus, a schedule has been formed! I would be posting new chapter ever 2-3 days and if i haven't posted in this time, then something happened to me personally that makes me unable to post chapters in the scheduled time. The reason will mostly be school or i just have a lot of things scheduled in a certain day, etc. Sorry if it did happen as i am a very busy senior high student and could only write in his free time. Anyway, that is all and have a good day/night, the person who is reading this!
