《The Two Stories of Frontier Online: A Tale of A Boy and A Beast (Dropped)》Defending the Town

IF you look at this chapter, I have revised the last chapter since that was a horrible chapter on my part, added more details, even more content, and a quest to be had or two
From the Author- Sederance
Jun's POV:
I was battered, exhausted, and wanted to rip a fucktard's head off. I wasn't in the mood to joke around or play nice either.
Not strong enough to beat a boss without help, ha, what a berserker I am.
"The 1 day penalty force-log out is harsh, that means we won't see Nidalee, Salt, and the rest anytime soon" Iralel sighed.
"No biggie, I just hope we can raid that dungeon soon" Galish smiled, he had stored his 35 something wolves into a small pouch, apparently tamed creatures can turned into summoning stones which was convient for both Galish who wouldn't have to worry about space, and for his tamed creatures who wouldn't be attacked by NPC guards as they cannot differentiate between friendlies and foes.
Corna, Urn Stopper, Iralel, Galish and I decided to check in with an inn, to restore our missing health and mana. Then go find a blacksmith who could repair our gear.
One blacksmith in particular wanted to exchange for the iron puppet body parts that we got and we gladly done so, Galish and Corna wanted to keep theirs, Corna for research purposes, while Galish had the crazy idea of reassembling them. Corna jumped onto that idea immediately afterwards.
I walked up to another blacksmith who ran a shop called [Ironwood Wares and Accessories ] a burly old man was behind the anvil pounding a sword when I walked in.
"What can I do fo ya lad" The blacksmith asked, putting his hammer down and wiping the sweat from his head with a rag.
"I would like to see if it was possible to repair or upgrade my gear" I replied, turning over all my equipment.
"Class is Berserker I see, Hmm, I think I got just the set for you." the blacksmith said and he went into the back of the store.
After a while the blacksmith came back with a dusty box.
"Well my son you se, he waneed to be a Bersurker just like ya laddy, got the skills, class, armor, ya name it. But afte a few hunts, he came back with some rare matierials and foun his true callin as a merchiant. heck he owns the general store aross town" The Blacksmith smiled, as he shared his story. (Not spelling mistakes, he just has an accent"
"Anyway, this is his old equipment, suites you just fine, increase health and stamina regen, and has life and stamina steal. some poor rates though, but it does its job. Also increases health, stamina, defense, and strength values. As for the weapon, I'm afraid I can't help you there, might want to go to my son, he has some good materials for crafting if your interested."

"No thanks, I'll take the equipment and try my luck else where" I smiled at the great deal in front of me.
I had a total of 416 gold after the hunt I just did with my party and had plenty to spend, The whole set of armor, boots, cape, pants, shirt, was a total cost of 412.. Sure 4 gold wasn't enough to get a really good sword, but there are people out there.
I exchanged gold for the equipment set and immediately equipped them on. I felt the power rage through my body and in general a powerful boost to my capability.
"Thanks old man" I waved.
"Oi, who ya callin old ya laddy" the blacksmith called back and I left him to his work.
I arrived back to find the group with the blacksmith who was interested in the puppets.
In front of them on a table, two battered bodies of [Iron Puppets] were laid out, one of them was missing an arm and a leg, while the other was fully armored.
"Seems to be missing an ingredient, something to make it alive" Corna mutters.
"Some merchants I know have stuff like Soul Sand and Spirit Fire, if we bag one of those do you think it will animate?" the blacksmith asked.
"We need to find out what attribute the core is, I'm sure we get different reactions based on what type of core it has" Galish says.
"How about, it doesn't have a core to begin with , that is why it's not moving" I interrupted their deep thought.
"No core? no core?..... That would make sense, Galish open up a puppet torso and head to see if there are any cores" Corna exclaimed with excitement.
Galish immediately and sawed the torso and head in half, revealing no core within either.
"Mapan, we will pay a high price if you get us some soul sand, spirit fires, liquid life, you name it" Corna grinned, the smile going from ear to ear.
"Will do" Mapan the blacksmith soon to be merchant immediately ran off.
"What do you think will happen?" Corna asked excitedly.
"Who knows, who cares, let me bash some skulls, maybe solo a boss?" I replied bored.
"Well, if you want to do that, then....... a quest?" Corna exclaimed.
A quest popped in front of me as well.
Urgent Quest: Reverse Raid.
Monsters have decided to raid your home, the opposite of what you [Kingdom] players do. Defend your home, with all you got, death results in the usual ban of 1 day, while victory gives you fame, experience and a suitable reward based on effort taken. Failure results in the loss of your hometown, you will turn into refuges, and monster attacks will be more common in the area. [Forced Quest] You are forced to take part in it, IF you flee, you gain a combat penalty for as long as this quest is active.

Again devs, what the fuck were you thinking, drugs again?
"Great, I just got this too" I growled, kicking over the table with the puppets on them.
I ran to the nearest store and bought as many swords as 4 gold can buy and met up with the rest of my group. Heck even the [blacksmith turned merchant] Mapan was there.
Three puppets were fully functional, one had a gooey texture, another one seemed to have swirling vortex of sand around it, and the last had veins that carried water.
"Fire deteriorates the body, Soul Sand, let it learn earth based magic, same goes for Liquid Life which gives water based magic, though their mana is terrible" Corna observes.
"Money, now" Mapan insisted and once he got it he turn tail and ran toward the nearest exit.
"Coward, fight like a real man" I bellowed after him but he just kept on running. Alarm rang throughout the city as the walls were breached.
A giant jelly monster pushed through, dissolving everything in it's way.
"Hold the Line" someone orders, and a barrage of arrows and iron bolts fly and attack the monster. He seemed to be unaffected and then around it, Iron Puppets on wolves, along with a centaur puppet was charging forward.
Scouts unlucky enough to fall behind were trampled and impaled while the rest of us hide behind the defense line, I was bursting with the urge to charge in there and bash a few skulls together.
"Fire Mages, Fire" a commanding voice spoke and the mages released a storm of Fireballs and Flaming Arrows. Numbers upon Numbers of enemies fell,
Our side gave a victory cheer, but then chaos happened. From the skies, dropped puppets, and these puppets crushed our mages with hugs of death. Enemies surrounded me, Urn Stopper throws a vial of liquid fire but allies are caught and become collateral damage. He is diced into pieces by a String Grapple puppet.
Iralel goes down fast as well.
Galish, Corna and I stand in a triangle formation, our backs to each other, the three puppets we managed to resurrect and the many wolves Galish has tamed fight alongside us. Sometimes they are mistaken for foes and they take damage.
Corna suddenly perked up, "Bombardment incoming, take cover" she shrieks and she dives into an alleyway. I tried to follow suite but I tripped on a puppet corpse. Galish recalls a few of his wolves but by doing this he was to late.
The rain of fire and explosions rocked the entire battlefield, I saw a friendly adventurer get blown to shreds, one centaur puppet was knocked off his feet as he charged and took damage from impact before being destroyed by an explosion.
After a while I managed to survive only because of my high stats and Rage Mode, which granted me a boost to health regen.
Galish fortunately was still alive, but he had to crawl out of there, unfortunately most of his body was scorched black. and about a fifth of his wolves survived.
"Wow Galish, where is the strength that you proudly tell us about" Corna sneered
"Shut up, I care about these guys to much" Galish whimpered.
"Wow, I didn't know you were such a softie" Corna teased.
"I said Shut up" Galish muttered, and suddenly a puppet dropped on him and crushed his head.
In my weakened state I berserked rushed the puppet into a wall, but it slashed my armor open, the durability reaching zero.
"I JUST BOUGHT THIS" I roared, bashing the puppet with my fists till it was a metal paste in the wall.
"Remind me never to get on your bad side" Corna said.
I just grunted and throw myself back into the battle. We had finally encircled two of the boss mobs that showed up, the wolfman charged at me but I bashed him with an axe I picked up. He kept attacking random people while they all stabbed swords into him.
Finally in a death woe, the wolf howled in pain as someone stabbed him in the heart with a sword.
You assisted in defeating the Boss Mob: Fangoro the Wither Wolfman, gain 1,200 Exp, Drops: Fangoro's Claws (Ingredient item), Withering Wolf Hide (Ingredient Item), Eye of the Beast (Hat)
I turned in triumph to see the puppet boss that humiliated me so. I charged to chop him to pieces when a swarm of insects came and started to deal damage to me.
To many of them were attacking me at once, even though they dealt so little damage it was laughable, when there was millions of them I was destroyed in minutes.
You have died in combat, You dropped: Berserker's Hat, Steel Axe.
You have lost the following experience: 455,
You have failed the quest, Valiantly defending the town, you met your end and people will have a small chance of mentioning your name (0.007%)
you have lost your hometown of Higal, you are now a nomad with no home.
I gave a mighty roar, smashing the virtual message in front of me.
"FUCKING SHIT, THOSE BASTARDS, I JUST BOUGHT THOSE ITEMS TOO" I roared.
I gave the message another smash just to be sure and then logged out
