《The Ritual of the Summoned Ones》Exploring and Looting

Hadrian got up of the floor after having a good rest and started to search the rooms, checking the through room that caused him to fight the skeleton’s in the first place, the 4th room to be exact, opening the door he sees it indeed is a storage room just like the blacksmiths room.
“Man whoever designed these buildings didn't have much of an imagination, probably ripped off a bunch of people with the same designs”
Having a good look around the room, he finds a shelf full of rations, a few bit of furniture and the most surprising thing, .....” Really more books, great that's what I need not more food or something to hold water in. Noooo I really wanted more books I can't read”.
Checking to see if any of the books looked important or unique in any way, he sees that they are just generic looking books and decides to leave them in place, grabbing the rations he places them into his inventory and leaves to check out the other rooms.
In the third room he finds another washroom similar to the blacksmiths, having nothing useful to him, he exits and goes into the second room. Entering it he finds a small bedroom, after giving it a quick search he finds nothing, just as he's about to leave he decides to go check under the bed again hope to find something more interesting than last time.
Flipping the bed he finds a large lock box, “Cool, two stores, two lockboxes, hopefully this has something in it”
Drawing his short sword he smashes at the lock with hid pommel, breaking it off the lockbox, placing his sword back into its sheath. He grabs the box and flips the lid, in it, he finds that unlike the blacksmiths box, this one holds something inside it.
There was only one item inside the box, nearly take up the whole box was a giant book, “Of course, it's a book”. Picking the book up, Hadrian gets a good look at it, it was a big black book with gold runes cover it's surface and a thick lock holding it shut.

“Damn now that's what I call a book, I better keep this one. Hopefully it has something interesting inside but how in god's name am I supposed to unlock it, I've already searched this whole place and I didn't find any key’s”.
He places the book inside his inventory, hoping to find a way to open it in the future and after having another quick search throughout the building to see if he missed the key, Hadrian decides to leave the store and head to another hoping to find something more substantial before heading back to the blacksmiths.
“Should I head next door or to the store across the road”. Deciding it was better to head next door, Hadrian walks up the street and heads up to the next building.
Looking quite a bit less damaged than the bookstore, but he still couldn’t see any indication of what type of store it was. He decides to cautiously heads through the front door and see what’s inside.
A bell chimes as he opens the door and heads through, walking in he can easily guess what type of store it was. It was a General Store but unlike any type of General Store that the people of his world would have even seen, this was a General Store for the people of this world and all its quirks they had to deal with but more importantly it was for those who walked The Path.
A great map is affixed up on the wall behind the counter, shelves lined the surrounding walls filled with different items ranging from a quiver of arrows to a torch stick and everything between, this store seemed to pack every basic essentials a citizen of this world would need and some essentials for the Followers.
Learning from his past mistakes, Hadrian decides to search throughout the whole building before attempting to loot anything. Not wanting to be ambushed again because he couldn't get a hold of his own greed.
Drawing his short sword as a precaution not wanting to use Grace in such a closed off are, he starts to sweep through the first floor, making sure that no undead have hidden inside anywhere.

Starting with the main store room he’s in now, Hadrian searches every inch of it making sure to be incredibly careful, not wanting to be ambushed by any undead hiding in or under anything. After having done a full search without running into any undead, he goes to clear the rest of the rooms, still keeping up his guard, not knowing what awaits him in the other rooms.
“Well that's one room clear glad there were no fucking skeletons. But dammnnn that was some good lucking loot in there, especially that safe I hope I can find a combination to it somewhere or I don’t know how the hell I’m going to get it open”
Starting to clear the remaining rooms downstairs of any undead, He makes his way to the upper floor and once again he finds another similar hallway leading off into four doors.
“Seriously again what the fuck is going on with these buildings”
Shaking the thought from his head, Hadrian goes out into the hallway and ran down to either end of the hallway before making his way back to the stairs, hoping to attract any undead hiding in the rooms.
Listening and watching for any noise or movements to make sure nothing is moving around in the rooms. Hadrian takes a few more laps around just in case, again being a cautious as he can be.
After waiting a while for any noises or indication he's not alone in the building. He decides to start his search, walking up to the first door he tries to open it, turning the handle he finds that it wasn't locked, so he slowly pushes it open.
Similar to the buildings he entered before the first room was a master bedroom, a large bed was directly in the center of the room with a wardrobe set on the side, it was a pretty standard bedroom.
Having a search through the room, giving the wardrobe a quick check then checking under the bed he finds nothing of interest and decides to leave for the second room, sweeping both rooms without much effort finding an empty bedroom and bathing room both holding nothing useful to him.
Heading to the fourth room he opens its door, Hadrian finds that it was a storage room just like the others but unlike those this one was empty.
“Really you have got to be fucking kidding me, at least I still I have the main store room downstairs, still this was a boring place, both in a good and a bad way”
Heading back downstairs, he heads straight to the safe and just decides to place it into his inventory not finding the combination to it and then starts collecting everything useful to him, finding many things like pickled foods, chalks, torches, rations, some rope, some empty bottles and many things. He places everything into his inventory including the giant map on the wall.
Double-checking he's not missing anything he decides to have a quick snack before heading back to the blacksmiths, taking out one of the jars of pickled vegetables, he opens it up and eats a few with his hunger abated, he heads back out to the main road and starts to walk back to the blacksmiths.
Heading towards the back he hops back over the fence with the ladder and brings it back into the garden, as soon as he steps into the room he can feel something isn't right.
“Ahhhh!!”, the pain hits him hard, pain radiating from his stomach, intense stomach cramps hit him with full force. Making him fall to the floor, “Probably shouldn't have eaten god knows how old vegetables from a different world”
Hadrian feeling like an absolute moron for not remembering such an obvious fact. He starts to crawl upstairs before he collapses, getting up to the upper floor, he makes it to the bed before collapsing on it. The pain rips through him too intense for him to take, it wasn't long before he fell into unconsciousness but before he did a few words pop into his vision.

Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder
I, Mick Chadwick, regret to inform my readers that this memoir contains nothing but the truth, which in the case of Tobias MacClain, most ridiculed as Pajama Boy, is far from pleasant. If you seek to relate to a hero more than to aspire to them and have the stomach for unpleasant things such as a hero left for dead, villainous scars, bomb threats, and murderous intent, then look no further. All of these gruesome things and more await from my research, and though I do not wish them on any man or woman, I cannot bear this burden on my own much longer. In the words of Tobias MacClain himself, "Sometimes, a villainous act can cause the greatest good." I hope that all my villainous acts of sneaking, blackmailing, diary-reading, and grave-digging, among others, will be redeemed as I present this complete and truthful memoir to the world, and with any luck, open eyes to the truth of what we call "villainy". Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder ********* MATURE FILTER IS FOR:- violence- graphic imagery (blood, burns, fairly dark headspaces)- cartoon depiction of burn scars for visual aid Despite graphics, Mick Chadwick's writing keeps Mr. MacClain's terrible tale light somehow. This is foremostly a comedy.
