《The Ritual of the Summoned Ones》Learning and Growing

As the skeleton's marched up the hill, Hadrian didn't know what to do, this group was larger than any he's fought before and there is nowhere he could hide in this open field.
"Shit what the hell am I supposed to do?", Hadrian draws his swords, not wanting to risk it in case he couldn't escape.
Making sure to step over the skeleton he already killed, he starts to run to the Gate. Trying to escape from the group of skeleton's, not eager to fight so many of them in an wide open area.
Running as fast as he could, the gate starts to appear on the horizon, 'click' 'clack' 'click' 'clack'. He can hear the skeleton's coming up behind him as he reaches the Gate and before the skeleton's get close enough, he jumps through the Gate and into its void.
Landing in the main room of the safe zone, Hadrian starts to catch his breath.
"Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah"
"Fuck all the skeleton's and fuck that shitty void. I hate that fucking place"
Hadrian gets up an starts to walk over to the fountain, needing to get a drink after everything that just happened, he grabs the bottles from his Inventory and washes them wanting to make sure they are clean before he starts to fill them full of water, making sure to remember to put them back into his Inventory.
Sitting down against the fountain base, he grabs a few rations from his Inventory starts to eat and drink just wanting to relax and fill his stomach.
"Motherfucker I nearly died a whole lot then, I know I can revive back here but I'd rather not feel how it is to die again, especially not to a bunch of stabby, macey skeleton's"
While Hadrian had a moment to rest he decided to check his status.

'STATS INCREASE DUE TO EXCEEDED LIMITS'
A cool burst streamed through Hadrian's body, the energy start to merge with his body, augmenting it to match it's new stats.
"Well at least that giant nightmare journey was not a massive waste of time. I got food, better weapons and my stats increased but thank fucking god that it's over, well at least for now it is"
Hadrian sat there contemplating about everything that has happened since he entered the Dungeon, the traumatic memories would be forever scorched into his brain. Going over memories he started to notice all the stupid mistakes he was making, idiotic decisions he couldn't believe he actually did.
"What the hell was I thinking, I was acting like some shitty horror movie victim. Did the stress of everything really get to me that bad?"

"Of course the fucking stress got to me, what sort of stupid fucking question was that but I shouldn't have been that stupid, shouldn't have I ?"
"I don't even know anymore my brain is so scrambled, obviously the stats fucking mess with me a lot more substantially than I thought it would"
"The Path"
'Ding' 'THE PATH ACTIVATED'
'PATH OF THE SWORD 5/10'
'PATH OF THE DUNGEON EXPLORER 3/10'
'PATH OF THE SUMMONED ONE 8/10'
'PATH OF THE ????? ???'
'PATH OF THE UNDEAD SLAYER'
"The Dungeon Explorer increased again, looks like SUMMONED ONE is a combination of either just The Sword and The Dungeon Explorer or it could be a combination of all of them"
"I'll know when I increase something else, for now though I'm going to see if I can magically learn a language"
Opening his Inventory, Hadrian grabs a few of the books in it and places them on the floor.
Picking up the most basic looking book he had, he opens it to see the unreadable language.
"Well might as well get started"
Starting his reading session, Hadrian tried his hardest to make any sense from the script but it was basically nonsense to him, he just hoped that his Blessing would kick in and help him.
Resting all his hope on his luck stat.
'Ding' 'KULONESE LANGUAGE LEARNED – LEVEL 1'
...

...
"Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, fucking love you, you sexy bastard luck stat!!"
After an unknown amount of time, Hadrian finally learned the skill he needed. Without his Blessing though, Hadrian could have spent months reading these books without understanding a thing.
As Hadrian learned this new skill, the script on the page transformed into something legible, as the skill forced the basic knowledge of the language into his head.
But the book wasn't fully legible, he could only understand a small amount of the words.
"Better keep reading then, hopefully I can completely understand it soon"
So Hadrian kept on reading hoping to level up his skill, luckily language skill the greatest hurdle is unlocking the skill in the first place, working like code breaking, once you work out a few keys it gets easier and easier to break the whole thing.
So he kept on reading for what felt like hours, until without Hadrian having any way to know, it became night again in the Dungeon but not without its rewards.
'Ding' 'KULONESE LANGUAGE LEARNED – LEVEL 2'
'KULONESE LANGUAGE LEARNED – LEVEL 3'
'KULONESE LANGUAGE LEARNED – LEVEL 4'
'KULONESE LANGUAGE LEARNED – LEVEL 5'
'Ding' 'KULONESE LANGUAGE SKILL MAXED'
'NEW PATHS UNLOCKED'
'PATH OF THE ALL SPEAKER'
'PATH OF THE SKILLED'
"Oh, thank god that's done"
As the hours went by reading, the book starting making more and more sense, as he started to understand more and more, he realized that this book was a guide to making basic farm equipment.
"Yeah, thanks for the skill, book but you are going in the bin,....when I have a bin, sooooo for now fly my pretty"
Hadrian throws the book straight across the room, it hits the wall before slamming to the ground.
"Okay, better see if any of these books were worth the trouble and I'm starting with you, you beautiful bastard"
Hadrian take the book he had gotten from the lockbox in the bookstore, it was the most important looking book he had.
"Please be about magic", as he goes to open the book, he remembers one thing.
"This fucking book was locked wasn't it"
Hadrian twists the book and see's a big lock keeping the cover's closed.
"Ahhhhhh, fuck"
"Dumbass"
"Well that's kind of fucking pissed me off, I'm going to just explore the Dungeon then, hopefully my luck stat kicks in and I can get that key"
Hadrian gets up and walks to the Gate and jumps straight through.
"Holy hell I hate that shit"
'click' 'clack' 'click' 'clack' 'click' 'clack'
Hadrian looks around and see's a swarm of skeleton's walking in the distance.
"Holy fuck ball's"

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
