Bristle and cold the day lay still. Nothing major as we expected, but it was detailed down to the bone. The monument that stood in the center had been there far before me. We focused our attention to screens of progress and nationalism.
"When are you joining Sil?" She said slightly facing my way.
A long pause, it was very ominous and the low dull sound came from behind the windows in front of us. The screens displayed behind these windows of a TV establishment.
Then there was only us. The plaza was empty, the concrete lay underneath our feet, and the distant sounds of city life. I looked at her and I reached out my hand. She caught it, and there we stood closer. We locked our hands together, I looked at her in all her heavenly presence.
"Iv'e already joined, you know that."
"I know....... I just want you here with me." She put her self gently on my chest. Her head lay interested on me.
Early in the morning it was, and I was heading out to Fireside Academy soon. Morning chilled mist surrounded us, like we were away in our majestical place. I looked down upon her.
"When do you have school, Laun?"
"Not now, its taking place much later today because of that, um, parade."
"Right, I have to attend Academy after the parade."
"Oh are you taking part in the parade? As the youth of LNO and all its might?" She moved in front of me, with a happily smile on her face. We held each other close, I said,
"Sadly no, my leading Officer told me he had something more productive to do for me, but the rest of the class is partaking. They will be happy and all macho-like. My leading Officer will probably have do more exercises."

"No no... ha.... not like that. Just more scenarios and testing."
We were gazing each other with wonder, her coat up against my coat, beanie and all. It was cold, it was always cold. But by her, it was welcomingly warm.
"I love you Sil..."
We drew close and kissed each other. Everything paused and the feeling of flutters filled me. My arms around her waist, her hands on my elbows. Us alone to embrace each other. We were young, and in love. My future was already certain and I did not want to let her go.
"I love you." I said, she gently lifted her head from my chest and looked at me.
"Why can't you join later? Just stay here with me. I miss my James, my Sil...."
"I will be coming back for you, but this world is........" I looked in the sky, jets flew. "the world is coming to a certain end."
I held her close to me, but I continually stared out to the sky seeing its ravenous clouds and unforeseen futures.
