“Nino!”

“Ah, Nina, careful!”

Nino sensing Nina’s impending doom of falling to the ground, immediately catches her.

“Thank you!”

“I told you never to run too much! Especially with these shoes on, you still can’t control your speed!”

“Ehehe, it’s just really fun! It’s like riding the wind!”

“That… E-Even if it is, do it in moderation!”

For Nino who had been abusing the use of flight since she received it from June, the overwhelming guilt she felt from her sister’s words pricked her tiny heart.

Nino and Nina had just gotten out of school and went to a certain place where people normally weren’t around much.

It is a construction site that has been put on hold for a year now, or so Nino heard and decided to use it as their training ground.

With Nino’s superior talent, she was able to adapt to the abilities enchanted on the items she received from her brother, and with Nina, well, she had a long way to go.

“For now, run straight from here to there, don’t speed up too much okay?”

“Okay!”

“I’ll run with you just to be safe!”

“Big sis, is such a worrywart like Big Bro is!”

“We’re twins how could there be a big sis between us, we both came out the same time!”

“Mom said you went out first so… You’re much older than me!”

“I should be happier hearing that but for some reason I feel like hearing I’m older makes me angry.”

Nina laughed sheepishly and began to run.

“Nina!?”

Shouting, Nino followed after.

Though the place was quite spacious, the two kids immediately went from one side to the other in just 5 seconds, a feat only professional runners could do.

“One more!”

“Nina! You!”

Stopping once, Nina immediately turned and ran.

A day after what happened at the HQ, I headed to a certain place to meet a familiar face.

“Can you do it?”

“I can, but it’ll cost you, and shaping it would be quite a hassle too.”

“I’ll pay, I need something that can be used as a power source.”

“If so, then I’ll need more than 50 shards.”

“I’ll look into it.”

“Heh, but seriously, for you to awaken this late in the game, man I never thought I’d see the day.”

“Well, me neither but here we are.”

The man before me, his name is Daniel Fisher, he’s a foreigner who stumbled upon the scattered islands of the Philippines and made his home here, he’s an artisan, an experienced blacksmith.

He’s hardly had any customers though.

“Your ability, what did you awaken to?”

“Combat type.”

“Heh, I say it’s a bad match up, for someone like you, production type would have been much better.”

He puts every magic stone shards into a melting pot, and leaves it to the fire.

“Anyway, it’s been years since we last spoke, I assume you’d have a girlfriend by now?”

“Please, with a body like this, it’ll be a miracle if a relationship went through.”

“Zat’ so?”

“Is so.”

I never really cared anyway, being single isn’t really that sad, sure it’s a bit lonely but its not like I’m alone. I have my parents with me and my siblings as well.

“I’ll hunt some more and get the required materials.”

“Well, I can’t really start anything without materials anyways. I need 200 more shards, or 100 if you get beads of magic stones, but as you are still starting it would be safer to hunt slimes, since it seem you have a way to hunt them efficiently.”

It’s not me doing the hunting though.

I wanted to retort that but simply kept it to my heart.

A noise filled voice, broken yet clear.

The man showed an expression of disbelief.

The monster he heard from that radio broadcast through his earphones was before him.
