《Nephilim: Beyond Good and Evil》Chapter 27: Worth Saving?

Everywhere Akemi went the walls stretched away from him. This was starting to become a idiotic game to him and he had enough of it. He started to blur off to various places, the left side of the building, the right side, even above the roof, but each and every placed wandered away from him as fast he could catch up to it.
"This is crazy." Akemi panted and finally let the three people drop onto the ground. He took a deep breath before looking around the room.
Someone had to be doing this. If he couldn't leave this place then he may have to find the person of interest and kick his ass. Of course what point would the person have for doing this if he never showed up.
Eventually a man entered the building through the door carrying a journal and a pencil in hand. He smiled and looked at Akemi and the group of people before he wrote.
"On this fateful day I ran into a silver haired man trying his best to rescue three citizens. But, he was a failure of a hero and couldn't escort them out safely." Hillel said.
"Who the hell a-"
"I am Hillel. A Nephilim who desires to be a scribe. What I seek is knowledge of events that will change the world forever."
"Are you the one fucking with me?"
"Such vulgar language. I hope I didn't irritate you. I was just seeing how you'd react."
"What was that little trick?"
"Like I'd be stupid enough to tell you? Don't test my intelligence."
Akemi cracks his neck a few times before looking down at the people on the ground. While doing this, Hillel closed his book and placed it in his pocket.
"I'm only suppose to stall for time, but this won't last long. I'm known as untouchable since nobody has managed to lay a single hit on me."
"Does that mean you have a sensitivity to pain? Good, I want to be the one to inflict as much as I can!"
"Eyes on me. You'll find that my tricks are hard to notice."
He clenched a fist and held it out toward Akemi's face. In an instant the fist had connected square on, sending him staggering back a few. The force wasn't that great, but it was still a surprise to be caught off guard like this.
"Lucky hit. I won't let my guard down again." Akemi made sure of it.
He activated his invisible force field like ability and walked around his prey. The guy was already starting to piss him off, but now all he had to do was wait until he attacked and follow up with a counter, or so he thought. Hillel swung his leg from afar, attempting a round house and somehow appeared in front of him, landing a clean hit across his right cheek. The force knocked him to the ground before he stood back up quickly.
"What's going on!? When did..."
"When did I hit you? Everyone always asks that, be creative. Ask how will I hit you next and with what."
Akemi was confused. His ability to reflect most forms of attacks was failing him. But, how? He could reflect nearly anything that made contact with him. Unless.. There was one weakness he had; in order to break through his defense one would have to land an instantaneous attack which would bypass his ability since it wouldn't be able to respond to that. But, that was impossible he'd have to be moving at such a high speed that it wouldn't even be considered moving.

"Damn bastard!"
Hillel smiled and swung his fist and like usual he was directly next to Akemi with his fist landing in his face causing him to slide back. His face was moved from the hit, spitting out saliva he slowly turned to stare at the annoying Nephilim.
"You're annoying."
"I've been told that. Nothing new." He said as he dug into his pocket, pulling out a curved dagger.
Akemi's eyes narrowed when he saw the weapon. He wouldn't be able to count on his reflection? Fine time to use another tactic. How about hitting him before he had the chance to stab him with that?
In a blink of an eye Akemi's body shot off toward Hillel, though he was slower than usual. He had used a lot of energy running around trying to find a way out as the Nephilim had planned.
"This shit again!?"
Akemi wasn't moving. But, he was. His body was in fact moving, yet he wasn't able to reach Hillel who wasn't moving. This battle was starting to get trippy for him and it only pissed him off more.
"Hahaha. You're so easy. This'll be over in an instant." Hillel held out his knife and soon appeared right before Akemi the dagger went into his gut as he finally seem able to move and dashed ahead before stopping himself. When he landed he growled as loud as he could before clutching at the knife in his gut, his warm blood pouring out.
"This is getting really old! Grrr...! How could he have hit me without me noticing? This doesn't make any sense! Shit!" Akemi's hand was covered with his blood and soon he lowered to his knee. The pain was still quite new to him as he mostly ended his fights quickly. His thoughts rushed into his head, wondering just what this guy was capable of. Could he beat him?
"At this rate I'll end up killing you. All I was told to do was stall. I was planning on running into Eli or Ira, but to see a fresh face. What business do you have in this? You aren't a Nephilim, you would have surely healed by now."
"That's none of your concern! Just know that I'm going to be the one to kill you!" He shouted and with his ego on the line he took a stand and ripped out the knife from his gut, causing more of his blood to pour out.
"You shouldn't have done that. What fun is it if you bleed out?"
"Shut up! I need a refill."
Akemi glanced over at the girl who was still knocked out and went over to her, taking her into his arms as he moved her head back. His eyes shimmered with red before his fangs, which were shorter than a traditional Vampire, dug into the girl's flesh. He sucked out some of her blood and took it for himself while Hillel waited patiently.
"Hmm, I could kill you now. But, I've never seen a Vampire before. This encounter... is turning out well." He dug into his pockets and pulled out his book as he began to write.
When Akemi finished his wound started to heal and he let the woman dropped who groaned lightly. He took a stand and wiped the excess blood from his mouth. "Dhampir. Get it right."

"Thank you. On this day I ran into a Dhampir. An offspring of the Vampire tribe which are also known as lesser Demons. I'd love to hear your origin and if you tell me I will spare you."
"Don't make me laugh!"
Akemi rushed forward while he was writing the information down. Like before he wasn't able to close the distance, however he wanted this outcome. Next, he'd increase his speed gradually as he moved off and went at him from behind. Still to no avail as he was still 'frozen' in place. Finally with one final burst of speed he flew up and then descended down upon him and achieved the same results.
"This is bullshit!"
Officially done, Akemi landed on the ground a few feet away from Hillel. Figuring a way to beat this guy would prove to be challenging in a way he was the kind of challenge Akemi was looking for and this caused him to chuckle.
"You find this amusing?"
"Hell yeah. I'm so angry I feel like I could destroy you in a way that no one would be able to tell you existed."
"Intriguing. How will you do that? When you're the one who's going to be on the floor?"
Hillel was switching to the offensives, he held out an elbow and appeared by Akemi instantly, his elbow ramming into his chest. Afterward he'd appear back in his previous spot before returning close to again, this time with his fist going out into the gut. His next combination of moves left Akemi lying on his back in pain and confused.
"…"
"It's ok to admit defeat. I'm simply stronger than you. Not only that, but smarter."
Hillel's phone beeped and then he smiled and slowly began walking away.
"Where the hell are you going? We aren't finished!"
"My mission is complete. Kazuki wants me back. I'd get those people out before the building goes down." With this he walked off, leaving Akemi with the group of people who were in bad shape.
Groaning to himself he got up and went to get them, escorting them outside to safety.
Elsewhere.
In the other building, Setsuna and Terios didn't seem to run into any problems. There were a handful of people in there to be saved, but that would be nothing for the two who could create portals.
However.
I wonder how these people will react to us? Will they be grateful for us saving them from impending doom? Or will they judge Setsuna and I for doing things that can't really be explained.
"Teri-kun. If we make a portal from here to the exit then we can get everyone out safely."
"Yeah. Let me get everyone's attention."
Terios stood in the middle of the building filled with debris and rubble. The entrance was blocked by fire and the only way out would be with the use of portal travel. He cleared his throat before speaking out shyly.
"Uhm, excuse me everyone. I know what I'm going to tell you is strange, but, we've came to save you so if you could just let us help you we'll assure your safety."
Everyone looked at him, remaining silent as things looked hopeless. Setsuna stood by his side and the two forged two portals one purple and the other one black. All they had to do was drop down in it, but from their expression they were all shocked.
"What the hell is that?" A man said.
"These kids must be like that psycho kid. They're here to finish us!" Another one said.
"Like we'd be stupid enough to go to who knows where." A woman mentioned.
"Teri-kun, they're not listening. Can I just eat them?"
"Setsuna no! They're just scared.."
"I say we push them inside of the hole and see how they like it." A man suggested.
Setsuna didn't take too kindly to that and held her scythe in a way that it was out in front of her and Terios in a protecting manner. "Don't even think about harming my brother." She snapped.
"A-ahhhh!" The man backed off pretty quick.
"Maybe we should listen to the kids." A woman said.
"That freaky girl looks like a damn Shimigami! I'm not ready to die!" A man shouted.
"He's right... is that why her skin is so pale? Disgusting.. She looks like death itself." Another man joked.
"We don't have too many options." A man said.
Terios glanced over at Setsuna who kept her poker face though he knew that deep down their rude comments harmed her as it was something she felt insecure about. This filled him with anger that the people they were trying to save would treat them like this.
These bastards. How dare they... are these people even worth saving...?
"Shut up! I won't let you talk that way about my sister! If you don't want to come then don't! Stay here and burn. For those of you who want to see the light of day, those who want to return to your families then take this chance we're offering you. If you don't then you'll regret it!"
The people grew silent and soon a few groups of people entered the portals which took them to safety. Luckily everyone decided to go inside and this caused Terios to release a soft sigh. When the two were alone Setsuna spoke.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome sis. I won't let anyone talk down to you like that. No one."
Outside.
Rikuto had wiped the blood from his mouth and nose and a few tears that had flowed out from the pain.
"Get ready Eli."
"All right."
"My ultimate technique... I'll call it Mother's Will." He held out his hand which was engulfed in flames and soon he went to work, bending, twisting and shaping the flames into his greatest masterpiece; his mother. The flame matched her shape and figure apart from being completely orange and on fire.
"What... did you?"
"Haha, this takes a lot of concentration, but, I was dedicated to make something mother could be proud of. Now let's continue our fun."

World Labyrinth
Meet our hero: an average young man with an average life, who ended up dying while working an average job. However, he's a given a chance to see another world at the final crossroads of his old life. The catch... well... he knows there's one. There always is. But, hey, when you're about to die, you take whatever opportunity's provided to you. This is the young man's story in the new world as he learns he can't afford to be average anymore. AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've decided to put this note up due to some comments and ratings left for this ORIGINAL FICTION complaining its boring. This story starts slow and it takes time for things to pick up. Also the MC doesn't start off as superman or become superman magically in two chapters. He also is AVERAGE... so it takes time to build up his character. Starting chapter 14 or so things pick up, but this isn't a pure hack and slash and skills level up story like most of the FF on this site. Just giving you a warning, so you don't end up disappointed and end up having to post large paragraphs complaining about the story... I also post on average every TWO OR THREE DAYS, so you'll get more to read.

The First Primordial [DROPPED]
[Story dropped until further notice, I don't currently plan on restarting the story but will leave it as a possible option] During the Creation and before the inception of the Realms, there were 3 beings. Known as Primordials, beings even the God's knew little about that were rumoured to be myths or legends. Follow one of such beings that, given the unflattering name Arthur and the species of Demon, must figure out his place within the realms and find his fellow Primordials. Spending the beginning of creation within what will be called The White Realm then spending an unknown amount of time screwing around in the Demon Realm. Once he finally begins his story, he will be acquainted with a world full of grand vistas, religious nuts and floating rocks which will remove whatever little common sense he had remaining. Of course, there will be no shortage of trouble that will complicate things that (due to a poor ability in making good first impressions) will cause more than a few worlds changing events. These events include the destruction of a church and minor religion, including the death of that religion's God, messing with the reincarnated people and even introducing his own reincarnators along with the slight involvement of a war between the Demon Realm and the Creation Realm. Slow burn story; expect the story to be long with plot being introduced as it goes along. The story will include a main character with an actual mind and personality that will create, learn, and even destroy as the story progresses with an emphasis on what experiencing the other side of most novels, a perspective on that one whimsical god that brings the protagonist from one world to another that is only ever mentioned in the starting chapter. [PS- This will be my first time writing, so advice, tips and critiques will be appreciated. The release schedule is a bit iffy and unreliable but will mostly be every Sunday]
