Chapter 7: School
I slowly opened my eyes from the darkness.
What I saw was a beautiful scenery, it was a rundown church, but there were many children running around merrily.
The nuns were teaching some of the children while some were just playing around with the children.
I stared at them for a while and then I remembered the ambush. Anxiously I quickly looked around,
Where is this? I looked around, but I had no idea where I was or who these people are, but I felt a hint of nostalgia.
And then I looked at myself… WHAT IN THE WORLD!? I’M TRANSPARENT!?
Let me pinch myself, huh? No pain…
It seems I’m dreaming or a ghost!
Well, whatever, let’s enjoy this while it last,
As I just sat on a nearby bench watching the children play,
Suddenly, two of them that barges in from the front door caught my attention. It was a pretty little girl with black hair, black eyes and wearing a dirty dress around the age of 3 who was led by the hand of a little boy who was around the same age with brown hair and black eyes wearing a worn out t-shirt and short pants.
They were happily running around the church in circles.
“Come on Xiao An, this way.”
“Wait for me, Xiao Lian.”
That name… Why? Why does it give make me feel sadness, grief, sorrow, despair and all kinds of negative feelings…
Aren’t these governed by the other me? As I sat there, confused,
She appeared on the opposite side of me.
Wearing the same black dress, with the same dark scythe on her back, she stood there opposite to me, the other me was watching me.
On her left hand, each of her fingers left a grey trail like it was slowly disintegrating.
“What’s going on!?” I asked, but her only reply was a cold grin and smile. Even though she’s me, I don’t know what she’s thinking nor do I know what she wants.
“It’s starting, I’ll leave the stage first, so have fun out there.” She said with a smile on her face.
After those words, I was just about to scream “Wait” to ask her what she meant, but I did not get the chance because the scenery around me turned black once more.
…
Suddenly a voice broke the silence.
“Ya..”
“YANGGGG…”
Someone was calling me, as I opened my eyes, I saw two a shirt, under it was something moving and long legs. I looked up and I saw Kazuki’s face, isn’t that? “KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” *SLAP*
It seems we arrived, so I quickly got off the carriage trying to ignore the man with a red swollen cheek, yup he totally deserves it.

“What did I do….”
“Why don’t you go figure it our Mr. Genius.” Seriously how big of an idiot is he, waking me up to see that thing moving, sure the lap pillow was nice, but couldn’t he make it NOT STAND UP!
We were standing in front of a big open gate with an old man standing in front of it smiling as he brushed his beard.
“Hohoho, what a lively bunch, you are prince Kazuki I presume?”
“Ah yes, and these two are my sisters, Miu and Yui, as for this one, she’s Yang, my guardian, she’ll be enrolling here as well.”
“Ah introductions, my name is Uskius Dirgestone, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“The pleasure’s all mine Mister ‘Creator’”
Immediately, Uskius’s eyes focused on Kazuki with a sharp gaze “Hahaha, that’s an old name, I didn’t know people still remembered it.”
“How could anyone not know of the world’s greatest magician, who created the world’s greatest taboo magic necromancy by combining dark, fire and earth magic 200 years ago.”
I can feel the temperature suddenly dropping as Kazuki and Uskius stared at each other, after who knows how long Uskius suddenly changed his glare back to a smile, “Hahaha what a wonderful batch of new students we have here, now come, let’s get you all settled down.”
As we were following Uskius past the gate, suddenly the scenery changed. What looked like just a really old run down building on the outside turned into a humongous place that looked simply amazing, behind the gate was a stone bridge on top of a lake and after it was a big flower garden with many different colours and then a big building comes into view. It gave off a medieval feel with its stone walls, and glass windows, but it’s size was enormous with three floors. To the left and right of the central building were two smaller ones and both of them were facing the central building.
“The left building is the male dormitory and the right one’s for the females, here are your keys, after you’ve unpacked come to the principal’s office in the central building, I’ll wait for you there to test you to see which courses you should take” and after giving each of us a key with a number on it, he left.
As Kazuki left for the male dorm, Yui and Miu turned to Yang
“Sooo, what room are you in Miss Guang?” (Miu)
“Ya ya, Yang, which room are ya in?” (Yui)
Yui happily clung to Yang’s arm and rubbed her face on it, which got her a hand chop from Miu who dragged her back.

“YUI!, we’re princesses outside the castle remember to act more refined, I’m sorry Miss Guang.” (Miu)
“It’s fine don’t worry about it, we’re going to the same school now, so how about being friends Miu, Yui.”
Yui once again clung onto Yang’s arm
“Ya, Onee-chan.” (Yui)
Miu letting out a sigh and smiled,
“Geez, what am I going to do with you.” (Miu)
“Well allow me to formally introduce myself. I am the second princess Miu Aerisia, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” (Miu)
As Miu pinched the side of her skirt and gave Yang a light bow, Yui just clung to her arm and looked up with a smile
“And I’m the third princess Yui Aerisia, let’s be good friends.” (Yui)
“I’m Yang Guang, nice to meet both of you as well.”
As Yang gave a bow, Yui pulled her making her almost fall and ran off to the right dorm,
“Come on let’s go check out our rooms!” (Yui)
*snicker* “I’m terribly sorry about my little sister” (Miu)
“Haha it’s fine, let’s go as well.”
The three of them went off happily chatting about all sorts of random gossip they heard from the maids in the castle.
…
The inside of the dorms were just a bunch of halls with rooms on both sides.
After they arrived at their rooms,
“I’m in 351, I’m gonna go unpack, how about you two?” (Yui)
“I’m in 352, I’m gonna go unpack as well, how about you Yang?” (Miu)
“Oh, I’m in 353, we’re all together it seems, well I got nothing to unpack so I’ll go to the principal’s office I guess”
“Let’s meet up in Yang’s room after!” (Yui)
“That’s a wonderful idea, I’ll bring tea.” (Miu)
“Wait, why my room!?”
“’ Because it’s empty!’”
And they both happily ran off.
Geez, two against one, so unfair, let’s go find the principal’s office.
As Yang entered the main building, she was once again dumbstruck, the inside was luxurious beyond compare, there were chandeliers, paintings, statues, a red carpet and many more. There were two doors to the left and right on the lowest floor, two stairs on each side to the second floor’s left and right, and one giant stair in the center leading up to the third floor which was split into three different parts with the center having a sign that says Principal’s Office.
As Yang slowly climbed the stairs, she saw many students wearing different colour blazers uniforms running around, many stopped to stare at her. Some were wearing white, some yellow, a small amount green, a smaller amount blue and one or two reds.
“Whos that?”
“I don’t know, probably a new transfer student.”
“Look at her yellow dress, she’s probably from a low nobility family”
“Whoa what’s with her eyes, one’s red and one’s white, does that mean she’s proficient in fire and holy magic?”
“Look at her hair, I’ve never seen that colour before.”
“Hey, She’s really cute, her body is nice too, but her chest could be...” *Slap* “WHAT’S THAT FOR!?” “Nothing, Humph.” “HEY, I’m sorry come back.”
Seriously? Are my eyes that weird? And my hair too… AND WHAT’S WITH THAT OTHER GUY! MY CHEST IS NOT THAT FLAT!
As Yang started to feel embarrassed by the stares, she quickly picked up the pace and went in the principal’s office.
The inside of the office was surprisingly, normal, just a work desk, a chair behind it where the principal sits and a couch in front with a few portraits on the walls.
“Ah, Miss Guang correct? I’ve been expecting you.” (Uskius)
“Yes, um, what else do I need to do to confirm my registration?”
“Oh, just write your name on this sheet of paper, don’t worry about tuition and residence fee, the royal family covered that for you. After you sign your name, we’re just gonna conduct one or two tests to see which grade you fit into, also in three days there’ll be a tournament, for the teachers to re-evaluate everyone’s combat skills to reorganize their classes.”
After writing her name on the paper, she proceeded to where the Uskius was sitting.
“Now, just send your mana into this crystal ball to determine your magic potential, which is the highest grade magic you can achieve, and fill out these test to determine your academic standing.” (Uskius)
“Ummmmm… What if we don’t know how to send mana…”
Yang’s face was turning red from embarrassment and she fidgeted with her fingers.
“Oh, don’t worry, many new students don’t know that too, nothing to be embarrassed about, here take this knife and make a small slit on your finger, then put a drop of blood on the crystal.”
As Yang took the knife and cut her own finger, a metallic sound rang out and there was no wound on her finger… the knife on the other hand, has clearly been chipped.
“… What are you?...” (Uskius)

The Saga of Armageddon: The Call of Crows
Bjorn Stormtamer's world has been turned upside down in more ways than one. His shipmates have left him for dead on an island for quarantining victims of a disease that he now has. His partner in battle despises him, his family thinks he's dead and everyone else thinks it was good riddance. Moreover, the world is under attack by a virulent plague that kills with light and an empire from the east whose intentions are unknown but whose methods are merciless and bloodthirsty. Little does he know that the world itself is nearly on the brink of cosmic collapse. But when a bold, charismatic woman from another nation seeks him out, Bjorn discovers that the plague he has was not a plague at all, but a trial. A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.
