The student Yohan took the red grass on his hand. He closed his eyes and after five seconds a fog of Soul Power that was denser than the other students managed to control came out from his palm. The fog turned into a few smaller tendrils and torn apart the red grass on his hand. The other students at most only tear it on three smaller pieces but this Yohan tear it into six pieces!

Just from this his talent can already be seen as superior than the other students. Yohan's face paled due to using his soul power the best as he can but the arrogant look on his face didn't vanished at all

Otto nodded his head in satisfaction, the other students didn't impress him much but Yohan impressed him greatly. As Yohan was also from his Clan he was even more happy at his result

The other students looked at Yohan in envy and jealousy. They are sure that the difference between them and Yohan would just increase in the future as he will be able to obtain more cultivation resources than the others

Yohan went back to his seat with his head high while Otto recorded his result and called the next student.

"Student Kence, it's your turn" Up until now the students that Otto called has surnames meaning they are all Nobles. This was the first time that someone was called without a surname. All eyes turned to look at Kence who stood up quickly in shock at hearing his name

Seeing that Kence wore the robes that the academy provided for its students and him not having a surname they were sure that he was a commoner. All eyes looked at him with ridicule and disdain

"A commoner wanting to become an Alchemist. He sure know how to dream high" Yohan's words cause the other students to laugh. "If you want I can give you some pointers if you pass. Well, that is if you pass but I'm sure you wont" his venomous words really irritated Kence but all he can do was to try calming himself by breathing slowly

Kence walked in front but coincidentally he need to pass Yohan. The kid thought of an evil idea and stick out his foot when Kence was about to pass him. Kence tripped but before his face met the ground Yohan's arm coiled around his petite body. "Hmm seeing that you have such a nice skin and face do you want to be my concubine in the future? I promise that you will be satisfied every night"

Yohan's words were full of lewdness and he inch closer to Kence's neck to smell his intoxicating body. Kence shivered in disgust and quickly move away to the perverted kid. He doesn't even know why there are a lot of beautiful girls out there but this kid wants to take him on his bed. Just the thought of being held by a man greatly disgusted Kence

Yohan suddenly felt uncomfortable as if something was looking at him with malice. He turned around and saw a kid with green hair and a demonic green eyes staring at him darkly. The kid's expression was as if it came from a demon itself as it was really frightening. But remembering who he was he didn't back down and lift one of his eyebrows before looking away arrogantly as if he didn't even take Sven seriously

The teacher naturally saw this and he frowned. "Yohan, how can you do that to your fellow student?" Fortunately, he was a kind old man and even though Yohan was his clan member he won't tolerate his bullying

"I'm sorry, teacher" Yohan bowed but base from his tone he wasn't sincere on his apology at all. Otto shook his head helplessly

Kence puffed his cheeks angrily and decided to make this arrogant Yohan to pay for his actions. Now, he's going to take this test even more seriously. Kence took the red grass on his hand and closed his eyes for four seconds before a small ball of dense spiritual power came out from his palm. The fog turned into eight tendrils and violently torned the grass on his hand. The grass was then ripped into eight smaller pieces

Kence's face also paled but a proud smile hang on his face. The sound of needle dropping on the ground can be heard inside the room if someone actually drop one. Whether it be the students or the teacher all of them was stupefied

Yohan's result of tearing the grass into six smaller pieces already garnered their shock and envy but now he managed to surpass that! His soul control was too shocking and he was a commoner at that

"H-how..?" Even Otto cannot believe it, unless someone has a Bloodline that is particularly good at soul control a commoner almost can't have this result. "S-student w-what is your Bloodline?" Otto asked while still not recovering from his shock

"I have the Bloodline of blue bird, teacher" Kence answered respectfully. Hearing his answer the other students recovered from their shock and started laughing. While Otto on the other hand was even more stupefied at how can Kence have this result when his Bloodline was a blue bird. Hearing his classmates laugh at his Bloodline made Kence to ask himself what is wrong

"Someone with a blue bird's Bloodline actually wants to be an alchemist this is the best joke I have seen! HAHAHA!" One of the students remarked and the others have the same sentiments. If Kence still didn't think that there was something wrong with him wanting to be an Alchemist with his Bloodline that was in insult to his intellect

"T-teacher what is wrong?" Kence asked and Otto sigh. For him it was a pity for Kence having that kind of Bloodline. He has a superior soul control and that was needed to become a great alchemist. Too bad, he doesn't have the right kind of Bloodline

"Student Kence, I think you need to rethink your decision of wanting to be an Alchemist" hearing the teacher's words Kence's face paled even more. "W-why?"

"Soul control is important for an alchemist but their Bloodline is also extremely important! Only those who have a fire or wood attribute can become a great alchemist. Fire can help remove impurities while wood will be able to preserve the herb's essence. Only if you have one of the two Bloodline attributes to help in pill making will one become a great alchemist"

Otto's words were like a bucket of cold water that was poured on Kence's body. He felt that he was too stupid to not realize this. Even if he dont have much knowledge about this world but from common sense and novels the teacher's words make sense. If you have a fire attribute it can help you to remove the impurities while wood attribute will give you a great connection to the herbs

This was something he should have realized on his own. The saddest part was Sven didn't even said this kind of basic knowledge to him. If he said it in the first place he won't suffer this humiliation. He thought that his test result will slap Yohan on his face but it turns out he was the biggest clown here

Kence dejectedly went back to his seat with his head looking down. He sat on his seat while throwing Sven a disappointed sad look

Sven become uncomfortable at the way Kence looked at him as if he wronged him. It was not his fault though that the knowledge the teacher of this academy has was too shallow. For him Otto was too ignorant regarding alchemy and he can't help but snort at that

Yohan was relieved that Kence has a blue bird bloodline. It washed away the humiliation that he will almost got. He ridiculed Kence and indirectly said that he won't pass but it turns out the kid has an even better talent than him if he has a fire or wood attribute Bloodline. If Kence a commoner was even more talented than him a descendant from Spernix Clan that would be too humiliating!

The original joyful atmosphere around Kence was replaced by a gloomy one. His dream of becoming an alchemist and becoming rich to help his parents was instantly shattered. A week's hard work down in the drain just like that. Sven can't take this and he flicked Kence's forehead while looking at him intenly. This was his first time actually touching Kence in a not aggressive manner. "You will become an alchemist, I have a way"

Kence saw the seriousness on Sven's eyes that was looking at him seriously. He can't take the other kid's intense gaze and he look away and nodded his head. "Thank you" Kence whisphered

"Student Sven Aerondale, its your turn" Otto announced and Sven walked to the front to take his own test. When he pass Yohan the kid also tried to tripped him because of his earlier stare but this time he picked the wrong kid to bully. Sven's legs were steady and strong and he walked as if there wasn't a foot that's blocking his way

He ignored the foot that was trying to trip him and just continued walking. Sven's step dragged Yohan's foot causing the latter to fell from his seat. The other students now laughed at Yohan. It's like as long as you did something to disgrace your self you are the one that will be laugh at. "Shut up!" Yohan's angry voice rang in the classroom and the students shut their mouth

Yohan was after all a noble from a Marquees Clan and has a high talent in alchemy. They can't afford to offend him much. Yohan stared angrily at Sven's back while vowing on himself that he will get his revenge. He was too narrowminded that he forgot he's the one who wants to harm Sven first

A smile formed on Kence's face at seeing Yohan's embarassment. He gained a sense of satisfaction at witnessing the 'good show' but he made sure that the other party won't see it. The kid was still a Noble and he's a commoner, for now he can only savor this satisfaction in secret

Sven also took the red grass on his hand but unlike the other kids he didn't closed his eyes to connect to his soul. The process of making this meager amount of soul power to enter the physical realm was too easy for him. His soul power in the past life was more than enough to cover the whole continent easily, this much of soul power was nothing. However, he can portray himself as a monstrous genius but it still has a limit as to not get an unwanted attention

In just three seconds tendrils made from soul power wrapped around the grass and tear it into ten smaller pieces. The shock that they got from Kence's result can't even compare to their shock now. They thought that Yohan will become the most talented but Kence a commoner kid resulted better than him. If Kence has a fire or wood type Bloodline he will become more than qualified as an alchemist

But now here was someone who was even monstrous than Kence. He made it looks like the act of controlling soul power was as easy as breathing. Silence pervated everywhere and Sven turned his back to look at Yohan

Sven's lips slightly rose in disdain and Yohan clenched his fist hard. All he wants to do now was to wipe that hateful expression on Sven's face. He feel greatly humiliated now. Not only the other party made him to fall from his seat he also stole his spotlight!

He was supposed to be the most talented first year alchemist in the academy but his spotlight was stolen twice from him! They made him look like as if he only has a mediocre talent when even the Elders on his clan praised him
