《Kingmaker》0.1 - Prologue
Advertisement
The clanging of metal echoes over the battlefield. Horses neigh and stomp the ground with their hooves. Men yell cries of victory and defeat as some stand tall, others fall.
Armies march over the valley, turning what was once a fertile ground into dead dirt that would never bear life again.
The collective armies all march behind their leaders, kings, in an age when a king was more than just man. When their names alone were enough to cause any man to tremble. A time of kings and conquest.
“My men, today we march upon this field as soldiers, but tomorrow we emerge as heroes from this here ashen field. So I carry you under my name, Ⰴⰵⰿⰵⱅⱃⰻⱆⱄ Ⰸⰲⰰⱀⰻⰿⰻⱃ!”
The men cry out, all in unison and the sounds previously present on the field vanish and all that remains is a chant.
“Ⰴⰵⰿⰵⱅⱃⰻⱆⱄ Ⰸⰲⰰⱀⰻⰿⰻⱃ! Ⰴⰵⰿⰵⱅⱃⰻⱆⱄ Ⰸⰲⰰⱀⰻⰿⰻⱃ! Ⰴⰵⰿⰵⱅⱃⰻⱆⱄ Ⰸⰲⰰⱀⰻⰿⰻⱃ! Ⰴⰵⰿⰵⱅⱃⰻⱆⱄ Ⰸⰲⰰⱀⰻⰿⰻⱃ!”
The chant gave power to the soldiers just arriving and reinvigorated those who had already been fighting.
The tides turned in mere moments as a new flood of soldiers joined the battle and rushed the enemy forces.
But it would not be enough.
-
“So you lay here before me, oh high king. This ground will be your last resting place and it shall be known that you have fallen by my hand.”
A large spear pierced the king and the life slowly trickled out of his body. The soldiers, once vigorous and determined to fight, had now lost all their conviction. After all, their king was dead, if he was no match for the enemy forces, who would be?
In his last dying moments, the king surveyed the field around him. It was filled with men running for their lives, all clinging desperately to hopes of survival.

“The age of kings is over!”
The adversary shouted into the skies, followed by the cheers of his men.
Struggling to stay conscious, the king did the last thing that he could. All his power, all that remained, he put into his voice and uttered one final message to his men.
The words boomed like the sound of thunder to be heard across the land, maybe even reaching the shores of lands yet unknown. But one thing was certain, the words of the king had been heard and those who understood could feel their power.
“ⰕⰘⰅ ⰀⰃⰅ ⰑⰗ ⰍⰋⰐⰃⰔ ⰑⰐⰎY ⰐⰑW ⰁⰅⰃⰋⰐⰔ!”
And thus began the age of kings. Or so it is told.

The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.
