One hundred years passed by in a blink of the eye as the world was in chaos, there lived two beautiful sisters in a hidden cave beneath the cliff of Mt. Qingyun. They live so hidden that not a soul knew there is such a paradise existed beneath the cliff of Mt. Qingyun. Everything seem to die down as the years gone by. Even though sunlight was rare in the cave, their underground palace in the cave was a beautiful night palace they both called it Yuehua Palace only the two of them live in the big underground palace.

“Ah Mi, how are you feeling?” A pleasant cool voice like the waterfall was heard asking as she handed the a set of clothe to her.

“Ah Lian, I am feeling much better!” Xiaomi exclaims happily smiling.

It was Xiaolian and Xiaomi whom was living peacefully together in the underground Yuehua Palace. After Xiaolian jumped off the cliff waiting for death, she happened to entered an array that transported them to this underground palace where they met a strange and mysterious man. He have white long hair but with a youthful face and body. He agreed to help Xiaolian saved Xiaomi under a condition and a promise. It took her half of a century to revive Xiaomi. Ever since then, they’ve hid in there for a century. The place has a very strong heavenly aura and powers that helped the wounded recover 10 times faster than the outside world, thus, with this advantage, Xiaolian followed the mysterious man, Zhan Ziyuan, and gathered all the herbs that he listed even if she were to dive deep into the ocean and find the tallest mountain for a rare herb or waiting for the herb to appear, she did it all that took her 50 years to collect them all. Ever since Xiaomi recovers, she made Xiaomi learned defensive powers and magics. She was still unable to cultivate martial arts, just a few tricks. The only backlash in reviving is she have no memories of the past.

Xiaomi happily take the set of outfit and pouted, “Sister, every year you gift me beautiful outfits but we never step outside of this place so what’s the use?” She was happy upon seeing the outfit but had on a sad expression as she knew they were not going anywhere so literally there is no need for any beautiful clothing.

Xiaolian looks at her dejected face and smiles, “This year, it is different. I’ve decided to finally take you outside since you’ve trained so hard these years. You’ve made improvement so I will take you out but-...”

“I won’t roam around!” Xiaomi exclaims finishing off Xiaolian’s sentence happily, “Now I know how it feels to be loved by sister! I will immediately go change right away then!” She excitedly take the white robe outfit to change. It was a very beautiful dress with tons of overlaying robes and celestial robes by the arms flowing giving off a heavenly aura.

Xiaolian dressed up in red flowing celestial robes fluttering on the sides with a silver mask on her face styling herself like a man. Xiaomi finished getting ready and saw Xiaolian’s outfit and pouted, “Must you be in men clothing every time you go out?” Xiaolian laughs beautifully replying passionately, “So this way I can protect you in public. Remember this Ah Mi, my name is Shenqiao outside of here and your name is Gaomi. Do not give our identity away and do not make friends or speak to any passing strangers.”

They left at night by Xiaolian’s teleportation spell she casted. They arrived at the central plain outside of Chang’an. Xiaolian looks around and found a trace of sadness… It has been over a century that she last visited the capital. Humans do age, grow old, and die. There is no more Mo Qingfeng and Mo Qingyan nor Mo Qingfan. She sigh looking at the endless Earth.

She handed a white veil hat for Xiaomi to cover her face and she took it and put it on knowing the cue to be careful outside of Yuehua Palace. The city was still prospering with people but now with new faces that nobody recognize. It just shows how short human lives are. Xiaolian sigh. They walk around tasting food stalls here and there enjoying their time. At last, they head up on the bridge and saw a luxurious boat flowing by with dancers dancing and beautiful music can be heard. It was a lantern festival for lovers. It was popular for people to meet up, light lanterns together, and to make wishes together. On this day, many boats decorated their boats beautifully. The lakes was filled with lanterns its as if you can step over the lake with the lanterns being your stepping stones. Xiaomi was astounded by such a grand festival hearing music, singers, dancing, and fire lit up as festivities. It brightens up her mood for the better.

The wind blew a breeze by revealing Xiaomi’s smiling face and several men saw her astounding beauty and was stunned such a beauty existed in the world and they never knew of it til this instant moment. A rich man approaches Xiaomi and Xiaolian with a fan waving back and forth like a gentleman, “My, my, my what a beautiful lady. Meeting you here must be fate, may I have this miss’s name?” He wore green with random patterns on the hem of the outfit with a white coat over. He had a decorated tags hanging on his waist. His hair was up holding by a silver crown revealing his slender features on his handsome face.

He approaches Xiaomi and reaches out to Xiaomi but was grabbed by Xiaolian and was pushed back by her. “Who are you?! I was not talking to you!” He exclaims madly standing up fixing his disheveled clothes from the push he received. He threatens, “As long as I want anyone, no one dare to refuse me! Men! Kidnap me the woman!” He commanded his guards to attack and snatch Xiaomi.

The music stops playing. The man playing the zither sitting underneath the veiled carriage stops playing as he heard fighting noises that frightened his dancers. He got out of the carriage and shouted, “Who dares to frighten my dancers?!” He shouted angrily. Everyone turn to look at him and noises quiet down. The clad in green straighten up his back and reply, “We were just playing Lord Bai,” then he took his men and scram off as fast as he can.

Xiaolian did not say another word but cup her hand as an appreciation of her thanks. Then she grabs Xiaomi’s hand and walks off not wanting to meet anyone that may get them in trouble. It was their first day outside after 100 years and they have to be more careful than this.

Lord Bai turn to one of his henchman beside him and commanded, “Find out which family this miss came from. I’ve never seen her around town before.” His right bodyguard obeyed and took off.

Xiaolian bring Xiaomi to a small restaurant shop to hide for a bit. Xiaolian speaks to her, “Maybe we should head back. There is nothing here and it is not fun anymore.” Xiaomi looks at her and laughs, “But we haven’t light the lantern. I really want to make a wish,” she pouted her lips looking cute trying to win her over. She thought of an idea and said, “Why don’t you wait here for me and let me buy that white lotus lantern over there to make a wish then we can go back. It will be quick I promise,” she whispers sounding so mischievous.

“Hurry up then,” Xiaolian urges, “Don’t take off your veil or else this will be the last time I take you out,” She too, warn her. Xiaomi hurriedly left to buy a flower lantern and make her way to the river to make a wish then let her flower lantern boat float off.

While Xiaomi was away, at a distance, Xiaomi heard a few gossip.

“I heard that the most handsome and prestigious First Prince of Heaven Realm left Heaven Realm after his lover died tragically. He cuts off all tied with the Heaven Realm.”

“How did she die?”

“I heard she jumped off of Mt. Qingyun but whats weird is they never found her body. Do you think she is alive?”

“Nah it can’t be it’s only in the history I am not sure if that story is true. I also heard he tried to elope with her but she sacrificed for him and died. I am not going to believe any of it. All I know is he left Heaven Realm and nobody knows where he is.”

“You’re boring!” The guy exclaims sighing, “I also heard he was fighting with Demon Prince for a woman.”

“Whatever it is just stories people want to spike it up for attention,” he ignore his friend and continues eating. He added, “Those people are dead now its a century ago stop talking about it.”

Xiaomi heard the gossip and thought it sounded familiar to her although she cannot recall anyone. She bought the lantern quickly and rushes to the river to make a wish before heading back to Xiaolian. She got to the river and saw Lord Bai’s conspicuous boat passing by. He was not playing the zither but he opened his blind sitting on his futon while looking straight at her. He seems to be keeping an eye on her and she even noticed this. She looks at him as he stare at her calmly with his body leaning on his right arm in a laying position. She cannot tell if he means well or not. He just looks very calm, emotionless, and quiet as he is looking her way.

She ignore him and closes her eyes and make a wish, ‘I wish sister and I will forever be happy,” as she finishes her wish she set it in the river and turn around and walk back to Xiaolian, but suddenly she bumps into the lad in green clothing and white overcoat earlier at the bridge. She kept her distance and wanted to excuse herself, but he pulls her wrist and snatch off the hat to reveal her beautiful face, “What’s the use of this hat? You’re so beautiful come with me,” he said as if he was so desperate, “Such a pity to hide your beauty.” He breathes as if he wanted her that instant.

She tries to push him away, but his grasp was too tight she couldn’t. “Shenqiao! Help me!” She yells very loudly.

In an instant like a flash, as fast as the lightning, Xiaolian came in an instant like a ghost and stood before Xiaomi with her handsome silver mask. Her expression was calm there was no sight of tiredness or use too much energy nor power. She grabbed the green lad’s wrist and squeezed hardly for him to let go of Xiaomi’s hand. “If you want to die at an early age, I can help you,” she said warning him, “Just say the word and in this instant, I will send you on your way.” Her voice was crisp and clear at the same time calm and cool with a deadly warning tone.

The green lad shouted, “Ow ow ouch! Do you know who I am?! I am-“

She cuts him off, “To me, I do not care who you are. You can be the emperor’s son, government son, or you name it, do you believe I will still kill you? I do not fear anyone,” she pressurize his arms.

“Hurt, it hurts! I’m sorry I won’t do it again please let me go!” He cried out loud as she tightens her grip. After his cry, she let him go and he scram away as fast as he could with embarrassment. So many people were looking at the way he was embarrassed and laughs.

Xiaolian turn to Xiaomi, “Are you finish making your wish?”

Xiaomi smiles and nods. Xiaolian looks around and found everyone looking at them even Lord Bai on the boat was sitting enjoying the show in a leisurely position. Xiaolian went to pick up the white veiled hat and slowly placed it back on Xiaomi’s head and make an evil glare at everyone as a cue for them to continue doing whatever they are doing.

Everyone realized the cue and quickly resume to whatever they were doing scramming out of the way. Xiaolian looks at Xiaomi, “This place is dangerous. We should head back,” she said trying to calm Xiaomi down. Xiaomi smiles and exclaims happily, “I have you I am not afraid of anyone!” Then she grabs onto her arms and lean her head on her shoulder intimately with a very satisfy expression.

Lord Bai’s boat reached ashore and he got up and walk out of his boat in a very careful, graceful, respectful, and calm manner cupping his hand to Xiaolian and Xiaomi, “May I know who this mister is?” He said it so beautifully, respectfully, and gracefully with his utmost sincere tone, however Xiaolian just give him the cold shoulder, “No need we won’t meet again,” she said as she pulls Xiaomi’s hand and walks off.

He ignores her cold attitude and quickly speak up and raise his voice as he see them leaving, “We will surely meet again…” He smirks staying behind as they left his sight. The body guard appear out of the thin air and reported, “Master Bai seems like nobody know whom that lady is. She is surely not from around here. I deserve punishment as I am unable to gather any intel on them.” He bow down closing his eyes waiting for his punishment.

Lord Bai chuckles and shook getting back into his boat, “Let’s go. I don’t blame you even I am enlightened by this visit.” He looks at the disappearing figure one last time, ‘That man though… his level of martial arts must be high even I’ve never seen such speed in my life.’ Then he turn around and reverse his boat and took off the opposite direction smiling as he look up at the sky, ‘We will meet again whoever you may be… I will make sure we meet again.’

Xiaomi walks behind Xiaolian not speaking a word. They walked in silence. She was afraid Xiaolian might be mad at her for causing trouble. She pursed her lips and decided to break the silence, “Am I in trouble?”

Xiaolian turn to her and smiles brightly, “No you’re not. Those bastards are just looking for a beating it is not your fault,” she caresses Xiaomi’s head gently, “I am here do not worry. You name it and I shall punish them for you.”

Xiaomi’s pursed lips turn from 0 to 100 real quick she started skipping, smiling, and laughing excitedly forgetting that there was a fight not too long ago. “Sister, you’re the best!” Xiaomi exclaims.

Suddenly, Zhan Ziyuan appears before them in simple white clothing and white long hair with half of his face covered with a silver mask. Zhan Ziyuan’s back was facing them. He stood calmly and he feel like their footsteps stops, he calmly turn around to look at Xiaolian, “Xiaolian, now it is time for the promise. You must fulfill this promise. As you see, I need you to fill in my position as one of the headmaster in Mt. Gaoshan academy temporarily. This academy have a mixture of Human, Demon, and Heaven realm. As you may know Earth Realm is now called Human Realm, Heaven Realm is now God Realm, and Dark Realm is now Demon Realm. A century has passed and it is more diverse now. The Human Realm is like a battle field for both Demon and Gods,” he sigh explaining the situation to her, “I need you to go there tomorrow morning and report to Hai Gao in place. He is in charge of all the instructors in that academy and you may have to live there for a while since you’re temporarily filling my spot in for me.”

Xiaolian half smile and nods, “Okay deal but for how long?”

“I don’t know… whenever I’m willing to take over that is…” He said grinning and added, “I will look after Xiaomi for you. We will visit temporarily from time to time to check up on you so you do not have to worry.”

Xiaolian turn to Xiaomi and Xiaomi smiles replying, “I will be fine.”
