《So I guess this is a Video Game World.》Chapter 20: The War is coming.

So, I received a quest to win the war, and informed the Queen about that, She then said:
-That's cheating!That's completely cheating!
I would also be jealous, a chance to level up to a level who take years to achieve, that's a great opportunity.
-To reassure you, the message says "Maybe", and that's not the first time the system trolled me.
-What does this have to do with trolls?
-...Too long to explain. An expression from my world. But in short, it was at your Battle royal, the system said that if I won, I would gain a "Great Amount" of Experiences... So after I won, I gained literally gained 1 Experience Point, because I didn't do shit in the battle for the system.
-Well, you did nothing so it was to be expected
-No! This is a quest, there is a reward, I still want my experience back!
Never.
-Oh, you don't start! You probably have better things to do than trolling me!
Nell didn't quite understand my reaction, well, the message was in my eye, so it was logic she wouldn't understand.
Pissing you off is better than anything my job could earn me, so actually, no. : P
-God damn you stupid system!
Well, let me encourage you at least for this quest. YOU FEEL GREAT! YOU CAN WIN! YOU. CAN. DO. THIIIIIIS!
I won't even mention how the heck does he have the knowledge to make that reference and just says that's it's the system and so he knows virtually anything in existence...So, I spoke to Nell
-...Back at our war, so for now, we do nothing besides reinforce the villages right?
-Yup. Feel free to do your usual things for now. I will contact you when they are news or when a battle start.
So, two weeks passed without nothing happening, I was talking with Aevy in my chamber.
-And then the system started trolling me! The fuck? How the heck does a stupid system can have a personality?
-Oh yeah, him. He once told me who he really was. That was rather surprising but it makes sense when you think about it.

-Wait, really? Who is it then?
-Not gonna spoil the fun outta you. Do it yourself for once.
-Damnit, fine! I will find who it is and he will pay for all of the trolling he made!
-Pft. Good luck then. You will need it.
He stands up and told me:
-Oh yeah, Nell wants you in her throne room, I will also be there, we will wait for you here.
He then left, so Nell is waiting for me? Is something happening finally? I mean, it's bad if it's the case! I gotta go.
I did go into the castle and there were a few people here with Aevy in the group. I stepped in and looked at the name and level of all of them.
Aevy, level 175, he definitively level up super fast. He still has his bottle of apple juice attached to his jogging.
Arthur, level 94, the same Arthur that does jokes that want to make me kill me. His tail was swinging everywhere, but he seemed worried.
Angelo was also here, do all of their names begin with the letter A? He was still level 120.
And now, the two people I don't know.
Jean-Pierre, level 180, he was in a full steel armor. With only his face not being covered, how to describe him with one word? A giant in his forties. What are you saying that's not one word? Don't care.
And finally Naïa, a woman in I would say her mid-twenties, level 255, she's wearing some high-quality clothes who covered almost entirely her body. It also was enchanted like hell.
-Everyone is here, good. Naïa and Jean-Pierre have bad news
The named Naïa took a step and looked at us.
-War is happening. All of Bergen, Whitay and Grandedge are attacking us at the same time. Our troops are defending our lines, but the fight is difficult, we need your help.
She looked at Arthur and me
-Arthur. I know that the Kitsune are usually pacifists, but we need all the help we have at disposition, so if you could enlist some of them, your magics could be really useful! And if someone is strong enough to use the Kitsune Unleash, then we can overthrow them!
-I can't decide for them you know! I will try since the situation is so critical but I can't make any promises!
-Then do it now, we have no time to lose.
-Fine fine.
He used the gemstone to teleport back to the Kitsune Village. So, Arthur was out. Naïa seems quite strict and serious, that... Change from Nell or literally everyone I crossed paths with. She then looked at me and Aevy
-And for you two, Aevy and Vakfu, your powers will be useful is this war. The possibility to scan everyone without the Observation skill will help us. You are clearly some specials people. Of what little information we have, this is normally a power only bestowed bu the Gods themselves.
-About this, I had an idea yesterday.
Aevy seems to have an idea... I wonder what it is?
-You have the information about our Inventories, yes?
-Y...Yes, indeed.
-That we can stock almost anything inside?
-... I think I know where you're going.
-Exactly. Using that power to store anything needed for the army. Potions, food, water, heck, even the tanks!
...Wow. That's a wonderful idea. Now that I think of, I've never upgraded my Inventory since I never needed it... Probably should do that right now.
-But, we will need money, a lot of money to upgrade the Inventory. I currently need 50 platinum coins to unlock the fifth upgrade.
-F...Fifty platinums?! That's insane!
-Well, the first upgrade already cost 50 silvers, then 5 gold, then 50 gold, then 5 platinum, then 50 platinum. So, most of the work is done.
So that's the costs, I didn't know them besides the first one obviously.I finally spoke
-And...I didn't upgrade mine. But I can upgrade it myself up to the third upgrade.
I could not afford for 5 platinum one obviously, but for the rest, I could if all my savings were spent in it. Nell included herself in the conversation
-Hmm...I can't give you 50 platinum just for that. But I can give the necessary money for Vakfu to upgrade it to the same level as Aevy.
She then gave me 6 platinum piece
-Keep it even if you don't use them all. But just upgrade your Inventory with it.
I did like she said and upgraded my Inventory to the same level than Aevy, it really cost 50 platinum for the next... Welp, that will be a long time before I can afford it. Dunno if I will though. This inventory is already big enough, it has 50 slots now. I literally quintupled the size of my inventory when I never used it to its full potential. Well now... I guess I will.
-Now, Aevy, you will go to the fortification against Grandedge, their army is the most powerful of the three, so watch out. As of you Vakfu, you will go to the fortifications near Whitay. But before you two go, we need to prepare all of the necessaries that can be possibly transported by your inventory. We will make it as fast as possible.
Nell then spoke.
-All of you, you are the futures of Humans and Monsters, so stay determined! And we will win this war!
Tomorrow, in a rather wide place, all of the needs were ready and... There was a lot of ridiculously big metal crates, divided in two. they were like the metal crates cargos transported on Earth. But, how did they transported them here without our help?! Those things must be weighing literal tons! Naïa was here with Jean-Pierre. She then told us.
-Aevy tested it, one crate takes one place in your inventory, so there are exactly 45 crates for each of you. The last inventory slots are for your own needs.
After she told that, Aevy and I took all of the containers there was. No containers escaped us. All your containers are belong to us.
We finally departed in a private wagon after saying good luck to both of us. For Aevy, this will be hot, and for me... Well, Winter is coming.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Elania, Arachne in a different world
Does have GL subplot later on. Warning: Since some people do not seem to get the slice of life idea, this story is SLOW. There is action and I intend to write more of it but don't come here expecting it to be the focus 24/7. A young woman from Earth wakes up in a cave, disoriented, confused, amnesic and with her lower body replaced by that of a giant spider. She has no idea what she stumbled into and all the extra sensations were definitely not helping. "Did I get reincarnated into a fantasy world?" She's not quite sure. But, the goblin, the troll and (soon enough) the hot elf all suggest "yes." As much as it creeps her out, her new body is powerful and flexible in some very interesting 'spidery' ways as she slowly learns to live with it. Combined with what modern knowledge she can still remember, the newly christened Elania soon finds herself building a new life as an adventurer among the elves. Who knows what awaits her? Maybe, just maybe, she might even find happiness along the way. There will be a fair amount of errors in writing up until chapter 43 (where I got a proper proofreader/editor to help me out.) Chapters 1-20 or so will at some point receive partial rewriting because I don't quite like the flow and feel there are some parts that don't make as much sense as they should. Please don't suggest edits for chapters up until 43, anything after that, feel free to in case we missed anything. Find me on discord at : https://discord.gg/TqFjdv8uaE
