《Metamorphosis》Mana

Elizabeth Windhorn POV:
"Finally..." I sigh wearily.
2 years passed, I learned how to read and now I can read books to learn more about this world, I walk in the corridors trying to remember where the room that holds that book is. Then I found the entrance, a pretty big door that looks new from how clean it is. I stand on tiptoe to reach the handle, I grip the handle and open the door, stepping inside the smell of dust and mold envelops me, then I see the book that I was trying to read 2 years ago.
I grab it and start to open the book, now the words that are written in the book are readable, it looks like an encyclopedia.
"Mana?" I say aloud while reading the first chapter.
The most surprising revelation was that mana, the energy that the body emits in this realm, was there in the environment. Practitioners, also known as Mages, would use the mana in the area by drawing it into their bodies and eventually condensing it in a part of their brains called Lucius, the names of the various parts of the body changed in this world. In the old world I grew up in, Chi was created by the body and could only be found there.
On Earth, the practice was crucial, but the size of a user's natural Chi center was even more crucial because there was only so much Chi that could be stored in the body. Did that imply that, due to the abundance of mana in the air, one's natural Lucius size wouldn't matter as much?
The bigger the cup, the more you can hold, right?
Now, couldn't I essentially have more strength than I had previously if I could practice the same way Chi practitioners used their Chi, but with mana that was both present inside the Lucius and in the surrounding atmosphere?

“Mana can be used in a couple of ways. The two most ordinary techniques of using mana are enhancement of the body with mana (augmenter) and emission of mana to the outside world (conjurer)…”
"... Warriors who use mana, channeling it through their bodies to improve themselves and their assaults, are most frequently seen with augmenters."
"... The technique of conjuring is performed by mages, who may cast spells to directly or indirectly affect a target after using their mana."
Weakness and boundaries
“While augmenters can maintain incredible strength, protection, and agility, their flaw lies in their limited range…”
“conjurers possess unfathomable powers, being able to flex their surroundings to their will. However, such powers come with limits. Unlike augmenters, who use most of the mana from their Lucius, conjurers must borrow mana from the outside world, in addition to their Lucius, to wield mana into their surroundings in the shape of a spell.”
“While both types of Mages, or Mana Manipulators, for the better scientifically correct term, depend on and are classified by their Lucius, augmenters and conjurers also have different ways of measuring their talent.”
“An augmenter’s prowess or skill is estimated by the strength of the mana channels in their body, which measures the swiftness and efficiency in relocating their mana from their Lucius into various parts of their bodies…”
“For a conjurer’s, ability and skill are reckoned by the strength of their mana veins, which indicates the velocity and effectiveness of absorbing mana from the external world to cast a spell.”
“…Mages (Mana Manipulators) are typically categorized into one of these two divisions since attempting to be proficient in both from an early stage is incredibly time-consuming and inefficient. Most are born with a skewed difference in their mana channels and mana veins…”
“…Augmenters do not require very strong mana veins because they primarily utilize the mana from Lucius, while conjurers do not need potent mana channels because they do not dismiss their mana into their bodies.”

“As mastery level rises, the difference between augmenters and conjurers decreases naturally, but that is only so at an evolved level…”
So my father is a conjurer from what I have seen.
Fundamentals of Conjuring.
I change the page.
“The appropriate steps of using mana for conjurers is to gather the surrounding mana in the area, pulling it into your body, then, after spreading it into your Lucius to stabilize and refine the atmosphere’s diluted mana, you channel it into an applicable conductor (a staff, wand, ring, of some sort) with the incantations as a mental controller for your choice into shaping the mana into whatever spell you desire…”
“…The more effective the spell, the longer it will take to draw in surrounding mana, store it in your Lucius, where it is concentrated and purified, and finally channel and release…”
“Because conjuring involves wielding focused mana into a certain spell, conjurers will notice that they have a particular talent of particular elements (Air, Water, Fire, Earth), but with proper training, can become good in the basics of all elements.
Fundamentals of Augmenting
“Unlike conjuring, much less time can be spent assembling the surrounding mana. Efficient use of augmenting demands speed and precision in the use of the mana from your Lucius and less from the mana in the ambiance.
Augmenting was very close to using Chi, except you could also draw mana in from your surroundings. The explanation why there weren’t any types of conjurers in my old world of Earth was because there was no mana in the environment to draw from and create a phenomenon.
“…Augmenting needs proper diffusion of mana into various parts of the body, depending on how the user sees fit. While it appears easy at a peek, augmenting requires much wisdom in the individual’s own body. Being able to utilize the mana channels efficiently requires years of both mind and physical practice.”
“Because augmenting interests removing mana in its most pristine form from the user’s Lucius, there are no highly significant distinctions in a fundamental sense at an earlier stage. Nevertheless, augmenters can control their mana more willingly, resulting in vastly additional forms of fighting through augmentation.”
I close the book.
Because of the resemblances between the Chi center from my old world and the Lucius in this world, I found it tough to accept that you needed to be a teen to use mana. In my old world, kids could already meditate and feel the Chi dispersed inside their bodies. Once the Chi relocated into a single place, the Chi center would form.
I sit and I cross my legs starting to meditate, and then I could see some particles around me, I try to grab some and disappear instantly, looking at my hand I think that maybe it was because I devolved, I try again, this time trying to connect the particles, some were moving at my own will while other didn't move.
After some time I made a sphere composed of particles, I imagine to emit fire from my hand, after blinking my eyes fire in the form of a sphere was in my hand.
"Ahhh!" I throw away the sphere out of fear that I could burn my hand.
The sphere ended in a wall and caused the room to tremble and burn, then a loud sound that probably the entire house heard...
"What was that?!" I hear somebody yell.
Then I heard panic across the corridors, abruptly somebody open the door.
It was my entire family, they stared at me and the room in surprise seeing me there with the fire expanding.
I feel my vision blurry and uncontrollable, I then faint, exhausted.
