Ayva broke the enemy's rank, the bandits were busy running.
However, at that moment, the boy/man was looking down at his hands. Seeing the state that he was in, shocked, a cunning bandit gambled on a chance. He rushed at the shellshocked Ayva from his blindside to take a stab at him.
However, even though he was shocked, the blood-covered Ayva moved by instinct alone. He moves out of the way, causing the bandit to miss. Not being able to reduce his momentum, the unlucky bandit fall over, only to be hit by a Fire Draw from Eliza.
Ayva glanced over with shocked eyes, Eliza was already on the move. When everyone was distracted, she was able to let go of the Hero Shield and cast a Greater Heal on herself. Then, she started casting Fire Draw, the only offensive magic she has.
Already Leonel and Micah was moving out from their hiding place behind Eliza. Eliza starts casting a lengthy Mass Greater Heal to effect everyone, but at that moment, it was too late for the wizard Albrect, the only one who would be effected are herself, for her arm, and Micah for the arrow that has penetrated him. Micah quickly removes the arrows from his chest so that it wouldn't interfere with the healing. Leonel covers for him while looking out for any bandits that may be looking for a lucky shot.
Luckily, no one dares.
A gentle light descends on the battlefield, healing Micah, Leonel, Eliza and Ayva.
It was the most powerful healing spell in the game, yet was reduced in power because it was used in Mass. Ayva felt nothing because he was fine.
Meanwhile, the fire surrounding them rages on.
In his vision, every one in a while, Ayva would see a pop up
"Bandit Archer was burned by the Drawn Fire! -25 HP
Advertisement
{Eliza} draws fire toward the Bandit Archer -20HP
Bandit Archer feels the heat! -30HP
Bandit Archer was burned by the fire! -27 HP"
Their flesh sizzles in the fire. In game, Draw Fire was the specialty of the Fire Spirit in the Demon King castle, however, it was the rumored easy skill. The Fire Spirit Demon has a lot of annoying resistance, cutting down physical damage by half, nullifying Fire Elemental Damage, reducing Elemental Damage by half. However, its most used skill was trashed.
Draw Fire deal 20-40 Fire damage to all Player Character. A Fire Spirit physical attack actually deal 150 Fire Damage to a character, much better than the Draw Fire.
Not only that, all Faulty Heroes at that point has some magic resistance and elemental resistance so it is just a light breeze.
However, the Draw Fire of the game was a one time AoE attack, when Eliza uses it, the fire continues to burn the environment, catching fleeing bandit that runs into fire.
It was one of the difference between the game and reality.
However, to the already shocked Ayva, the sizzling smell of human flesh only makes him want to vomit some more.
At that time, Leonel's hand was on Ayva's shoulder. He pulls him back reassuringly.
"It's alright."
The golden boy of the village reassures Ayva. His winning smile calming Ayva down. However, in the next moment, Leonel was gone. He started attacking one of the Bandits that was trapped by the flame Eliza created.
"We can't let them regroup." Leonel commands.
Micah the knight nodded and moved in synchronicity with Leonel. With an ambush here, it was clear what is happening. There must be a bigger group of bandit on the mountain path. This group of archers must be the trap for them.

Micah was even more concerned because it means the princess was in trouble.
"Liza!" Leonel demanded
"Y-yes?"
"Make sure that the fire doesn't spread to the forest."
"A-alright!"
Soon enough, Eliza starts 'controlling' the fire just with encouragement from Leonel. Even Eliza was shocked with what she has achieved.
The girl soon enough starts moving the fire, drawing them toward the escaping bandits and stopping their escape route instead.
The three moves like a well-oiled machine. In his hand, Gram moves like a scythe through weeds. Leonel and Micah pushes the lightly armored bandits toward the fire.
Suddenly, Micah kicked a bandit into the fire with his armored boot.
The scream of the burning man marked the bandits' surrender
However, this time it was Ayva who stayed back in disbelief. He couldn't believe it was that easy, killing human. He glances toward Eliza who glances back at him. Then she turned away, her face harden.
It was over.
Micah ties up all the bandits tightly before gesturing at Leonel, Eliza and Ayva to hurry up. After they were ambushed, Micah decided to instead move quickly to take down the rest of the group of bandits before they realize what happened.
Meanwhile, Ayva is the one who is shaking with his spear holding hand.
"It is hard isn't it." Suddenly Leonel speaks up. Ayva looks at him. The heroic boy deals with everything surprisingly well even though Ayva was frightened and Eliza became silent after the whole ordeal.
"Today, all three of us experienced our first kill." Leonel continues.
"It is not a good thing." Ayva mutters
"I agree." Leonel says
"However, these bandits, who know how many they have killed, how many lives they have ruined. Sometime it is not an easy choice, but we still have to make it."
Ayva keeps on glancing at the boy next to him. What do they feed the kids in this world? Is this something a fifteen years old could say to his first kill? So terrible at that...
However, slowly but steadily Ayva's heart calms down.
It was right.
Slowly, Ayva tightens his hand around the spear of the God Odin. He keeps on moving instead of slowing down.
As Ayva moves, his shoulder brushes over the shoulder of his childhood friend, Eliza. However, she was shaking. She was actually shaking when he touches her. Quickly, with concerns, he looks over
"Are you al-"
"Don't touch me!"
Ayva keeps silent as Eliza runs away up ahead.
He soon realizes that too, he and Eliza has many points in common. She was as affected by the whole ordeal as he was. She even moved out to help him after all.
...It is just that her magic is fire, and fire rarely left behind any good deaths.
"Wait Eliza!"
Leonel speaks out as he chases after her.
Ayva stays behind because he realizes then and there that he is not someone who can console Ellie. At this point, the only one who could was Leonel.
Fastening the spear behind his back, Ayva moves with Micah.
The group of four moves toward the middle of the road

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
