《I thought I was right》Chapter 5

The Sko stepped out and with a wave of his hand, cleared all the mud and dust off me. He then cast an illusion that it was still on me.
“Obey the orders given to you.” He hissed in my ear.
We walked into the room that I assumed was the throne room. There was much more power going on. I could sense it. He dragged me along roughly. We stopped in front of a huge throne, it was white and blue, much more majestic than Berry and Zenits throne. On the throne there were lines of script, much different than the English language. I cast a tiny amount of power on the throne and the lines glowed blue. The throne was protected by huge quantities of power. Which meant that the person on the throne was basically invincible unless you managed to get them off the throne.
The Sko pushed me to the ground in front of the throne, hard. I crumpled, still weak from all the magic that I had been using. A wave of air stood me back up and I looked at the person sitting on the throne. It looked like a man with long hair and jewelry on.
As I studied him, he looked me over as well.
“I see, huh? We have a golden hearted hero here? That has not happened in centuries. I guess we will have to lock you up in our maximum prison yes? But first.”
He laughed. I felt the air being drawn out of my lungs. I tried to suck it back in but there was nothing. My vision went black and I collapsed.
I woke up in a cell. The room was completely white and I was wearing white clothes and had some sort of white cream all over my body. I started freaking out. Why was everything white? Why?! Then a small hatch opened and a white hand shoved white rice and milk on a white tray into my room. I could feel my head start to go crazy. I talked to myself out loud but the caller around my neck shocked me so hard that my heart stopped beating for a second. A part of my brain thought: that was so fun! And talked out loud again. The smaller part of my brain was trying to convince them that doing this was hurting me but nothing helped. This went on for hours, days, months I didn’t know. Near the end I became so accustomed to the shock that it didn’t even bother me anymore.

Then, one day in the haze, the Sko, he was tanned very brown, opened a door and dragged me out. I looked at his clothes and the colors. I had almost forgotten how every color looked.
He brought me to a room that I dimly remembered in the back of my mind. The throne room. I looked at the colors on the throne, white ugg but blue. I ran over like a little child. Everything was new to me all over again.
“STOP!” the Sko shouted.
I froze and he pushed me into a neighboring room.
“I know your going crazy but here.”
He gave me a card with so many different colors and shades that I almost fainted.
“That’s a color card.” He hissed at me.
“Now look at that and not move okay?”
It was almost like he didn’t want me killed. I felt my head clear and I became more serious.
We went back into the throne room and I knelt down.
“How?” Eb's voice was scared and confused.
“No one has been alive in there for over one day, much less 3 weeks?!?!”
I smiled. Then I looked at the color card and regained a serious face.
“I- uh thank you? Uh sir ma’am?”
“You just called me a what?” The Eb was mad at first but then laughed.
“You will call me Siram Eb.” I don’t think the Eb meant to influence me with magic but she did.
“I will call you Siram Eb.” I repeated after her/him. I decided to call the Eb a boy.
“Now that you have been such a good boy…” she trailed off as the glowing blue lines on the throne when dark, one by one. Even the white throne seemed less bright, as if it had been dimmed.
“NO! NO!” This can’t be happening!”
He clung to his throne, as if for dear life. The throne got darker and darker, until every light on it was gone and it started melting into the ground. The Eb sank to the ground and sat there, unmoving.
As I watched everything magical in the room disappeared, one after another. Even the doors. Where the doors had been, a portal opened and out stepped Zoe, Zenit and Berry. They were smiling and talking happily but their eyes said different things. Zenit mouthed the word paper and pencil. The Sko got them and he scribbled the words.

We. captured. forced. Dave bad. Kevin good. forced. Bugs.
I got what he meant. He had bugs on him and couldn’t talk. But Kevin being good? That was out of my mind! The Sko looked shocked. We went over to the Eb and helped him up. The Sko suddenly lit up and raced towards a small opening on the ground. Together we followed him while Berry and Zoe chitchated to keep the monitoring people not suspicious. We ran up 2 flights of stairs and took countless turns and twists. We finally got to a set of doors and the Sko entered the password. His voice control still had pieces of magic in it but not nearly as much as last time.
The doors opened and we stepped into a long hall. At the end of the hallway was a small white room. I recognized it immediately. It was a white room. Like the one I had been in. There was a window. I peaked in and saw Kevin lying on the floor. His eyes were unfocused and disoriented. I wondered if I had looked the same. I couldn’t stand it. I opened the small food door and shoved in the color card that the Sko had given me. Kevin sat up and started to speak when Zenit cut him off.
“Now Zoe and Berry, let’s not talk so much, yes?” We gave Kevin the look and shushed him. We then opened the door and let Kevin out, we raced towards the exit but Zenit stepped in front and blocked the exit.
“Hahaha Dave and the others will be coming soon. You will all fall!” He laughed cruelly.
“But papa?” Berry sounded hurt.
Zenit looked at Berry and for a second his eyes softened for a split second. they then immediately hardened.
“I am no one's father! You thought that I would be your father? Hahahahaha!”
“But-but.” Berry fell to the ground sobbing.
Me and Zoe stood in front of Zenit and I could feel our magic start to warm up and mix together. I shook my head sadly and shot my magic at him as fast as I could. As if on cue, Zoe and the Sko’s magic joined mine. Zenits orange beam was no match for all of ours. He crumpled to the ground.
“Quick! Quick!” We leaped past Zenit and raced out into the wilderness. I turned to see Kevin and Berry still on the ground. I sent a wave of magic and carried Berry to us but Kevin was using his own power to resist us. He was helping Zenit up. Looking behind us, the tiny opening seemed to get smaller and smaller. I realized that the Sko was carrying us by magic. The Sko must be very powerful to be able to carry all of us this fast by magic.
“I thought daddy was.” Berry sniffled,
“Daddy was nice?!” She sounded so sad and betrayed.
“It’s, it’s going to be okay.” I tried to comfort her.
Suddenly it hit me. Was Zenit being controlled? But if he was, why did he not cross the walls of truth? Why did he call me and Zoe trainees? Was he really my dad? I had so many questions but no answers. Silently, the Sko dropped us off at a small clearing in the woods. He snapped his fingers and a blazing fire lit itself. I could see the perspiration on his forehead. He was sweating through his clothes.
“I, I will take a break.”
I used some magic and got us tents and some food. The Sko went into a tent and fell right asleep. All that magic must have made him super tired. I tried using magic to cheer Berry up but just to get her to stop crying drained me. She must have been in such a bad mood.
The rest of us ate in silence around the fire until Zoe spoke.
“Hey Berry? Are you sure that Zenit is your father?”
“I- I thought he was. He was there when I was 3 at least.” She frowned, trying to remember.
“Someone else. Someone else was with me when I was really young. I just always thought of him as my dad. But Joe? Are you sure that I’m your sister?”
“I think so. You were in so many of my memories that you had to be someone close at least.”
“The only thing is, I remember 2 different houses and people. I sort of know you. And I also remember a different house with another boy.”
We both turned in unison and looked at Zoe.
“What do you remember?” I asked.
“I-I um I don’t have any memory’s outside of magic. I don’t remember any house or other people.”
