《Must I Go Out to Survive This?》Chapter 21 - Lost

A faint voice came from across the room. The voice of someone he knew.
There was no one else in the room. The morning sun still hasn't fully shone around. The sound of things tickling around made Tanaka realize that he was not alone.
"Miaw~ miaw~"
Little cat voice. It came from under the mattress behind Tanaka. The man who had been asleep now opened his eyes.
"Hello Pushi. Are you hungry?"
"Miaw~ miaw~"
Tanaka asked without expecting an answer. However, the little cat named Pushi kept meowing.
Tanaka makes milk for Pushi. All the necessary items are already available in Yuki's room.
"Pushi, come here!"
Tanaka called out to the tiny animal. He placed the bowl of cat formula in front of the bed.
Pushi who had been cared for by Yuki and Tanaka for about five days finally appeared. However, unlike usual, this time Pushi showed all parts of his body.
"Hmmm..."
Tanaka notices Pushi. He saw all aspects of the little cat's body.
"Was he this big yesterday?"
Tanaka was curious. He still remembered the size of the tiny animal when it was picked up. It was no more than an adult's fist at that time.
Now, Tanaka could compare Pushi's body size to one and a half fists. The growth obviously doesn't feel normal if it occurs within five days. That's what Tanaka thought.
"Hey, did you steal food, Pushi?"
Tanaka spoke again without expecting an answer. It was Tanaka's habit of talking to wild animals. Pushi is still licking her breakfast.
Tanaka brought his hand closer to Pushi's body. The man who should still be punished wanted to try to pet the black cat.
"Cute,"
Tanaka's impression of Pushi who was drinking milk. Tanaka's hand reached for the cat's tiny body.
Pushi whose body was touched looked at the big object. Two seconds she watches, Pushi goes back to drinking the milk that was in the bowl. To Tanaka, this was a sign that the cat was allowing its body to be touched.
"Hushi~ Hushi~"
Tanaka stroked Pushi's body lightly. He uses one finger which is the size of Pushi's foot.
"Hmmm?"
Tanaka enjoyed himself stroking Pushi. Pushi who is drinking the milk also enjoyed, although a bit annoyed too.
However, there was one thing that Tanaka had just seen. It happened very briefly.
Tanaka returned to the area he stroked earlier. It was an area of the body that has darker than the surrounding black fur.
"What is this, some kind of birthmark?"
The black color is on Pushi's skin. Tanaka knew that this cat's skin should be tan. However, that black spot near Pushi's lower abdomen is quite suspicious to Tanaka.
"Hmmm!"
Tanaka followed the direction of the black color. The area extends like a tattoo.
The door handle suddenly moved. Tanaka immediately returned to his seat.
Yuki entered the room while carrying quite a few packs of food.
"Tanaka, let's do party first!"
Yuki said with a smile. Tanaka could only think of one possibility. This is a welcoming party.
Snacks, breads, wafers and various drinks were placed on the floor of room number seven. Yuki was the culprit.
"Yosh, then, welcome new members... Kanpaii!"
Yuki's hand that was holding the bottle of guava juice raised forward. Tanaka and Taki who were a bit confused by this one girl just follow it.
"Kanpai!"
"Kanpai!"
Tanaka rammed his bottle of mango juice into Yuki's guava bottle. Taki followed with a bottle of tomato juice. Of course to raise it, Yuki helped Taki to hold.

They do parties as little children do. Welcoming party for Taki who just joined the camp.
Taki who wanted to try to eat this and that was fed by Yuki. Tanaka saw the sight as a blessing.
The atmosphere they created was neither very lively nor pretentious. However, they seem to be having fun especially Tanaka. He was happy because he was able to save the two women in front of him.
Less than an hour has passed. Taki is now back resting to recover her body. Yuki and Tanaka came out of the room.
"Yuki, I thought you were angry with me,"
on the way to room number five, Tanaka spoke. He was with Yuki at the moment.
"I'm a little angry. But, we have to celebrate the new members first, right?"
Yuki who is now opening the door to her room answered. The girl who owned the room entered the room followed by Tanaka who scratched the back of his head.
"That's why... I want to ask for my bill!"
Hearing that, Yuki took off her clothes. Tanaka then closed the door.
The man and the woman know what to do.
......
...
"Yuki, I want to leave first. Our camp needs better medical equipment!"
Tanaka told Yuki who was taking a shower. The man with bruises on several areas of his body was about to go to the hospital to get better medical equipment.
Taki which Tanaka had managed to get out of the villian's torment still had several wounds and even infections on her body. The stomach is the worst because that area was become a toying place for the damned villian.
"Tanaka, wait a minute. I want to come too!"
Tanaka who had wanted to go heard that. He had opened the door to the room and was about to leave. However, he paused for a moment.
'Will this be safe?'
Tanaka considers whether to bring Yuki along or not. He who knew that Yuki had some kind of problem when dealing with zombies is feeling a little worried if he had to carry Yuki with him.
"No Yuki you ha-"
"I want to come. Be at ease, I'll try not to get out of the truck like yesterday!"
Tanaka's words were cut off by Yuki. The girl who turned out to be aware of her previous actions explained.
Tanaka who had thought that Yuki didn't remember that now became more considerate. He is still looking for a good reason to refuse Yuki's request.
"Yuki, if we both go, who will take care of Taki?"
Tanaka found a very good reason for Yuki not to go out with him. Taki was used as an excuse.
"Tanaka... Taki can take care of herself. Haven't you also prepared many things near Taki so that she can do everything independently!"
Yuki came out of the bathroom with a towel. Her body covered in white towels made Tanaka somewhat unable to focus.
"Then who will protect Taki while I'm gone?"
Tanaka is now looking for another reason with Taki again as a weapon. Yuki, however, has her own answer.
"Does Tanaka believe that someone like Yuki can protect others from zombies?"
Yuki answered smartly. She used her fear of zombies as an excuse.
"Ughhh... All right. You can come. But promise not to get an inch out of the truck!"
Tanaka gave up. He had no more excuses.
"Okay, wait a minute... I'm going to change!"
Tanaka closed the bedroom door. He waited for Yuki to change clothes.
...
"Ready!"

Yuki opened the door. She changed very quickly compared to most of the girls Tanaka knew.
They both get into the truck. The boarding gate is closed to prevent zombies from entering.
Tanaka tightened Yuki's belt. The girl with the MP4 in her hand just watched the boy beside her do something.
"Listen, whatever happens don't get out of the truck!"
Tanaka recalled. He was still very worried about Yuki. The girl nodded and they both moved towards the hospital.
A place where filled with zombies and mutants. It's probably the most dangerous place in the city.
Cars and other vehicles on the road prevented Tanaka's truck from moving smoothly. Several times Tanaka had to go out to get rid of objects that completely blocking the road. Yuki could only see from the inside while watching the zombies moving closer to the truck.
Slow movement. A trip that used to take twenty minutes had now taken three times as long. When they arrived, the time on the phone screen was 09:43 AM.
"Alright, here it is Yuki. I will enter the hospital quietly and avoid the mutants if there are any. You stay here and don't move, okay!"
Tanaka reminded Yuki again. He looks like a father who is always texting his little girl.
"Tanaka, are you sure about that number? At least there are thousands of zombies!"
Yuki, who had seen the number of zombies in the front yard of the hospital, asked. She is also worried about Tanaka who is not certain about his abilities.
Tanaka has the ability to avoid zombies. However, this ability gap is a mutant which can control zombies around it. That is, if Tanaka encounters even one mutant who recognizes him as an enemy, he is in danger.
"I'll be careful, Yuki! So, you should be careful too! Then, I'll go first..."
Tanaka opened the truck door and got out. He killed the zombies that approached the truck. The zombies who had been attracted by the sound that the truck made before turned off.
Tanaka leaves Yuki in the truck. Yuki with the MP4 in her hand gave a wave from behind the glass.
Coming out of the parking area, Tanaka saw thousands of zombies swarming around. The front door of the hospital is a broken glass door. Blood stains were everywhere. Some zombies also look very thin. It was a zombies in patient clothes.
Tanaka slowly walked past the zombies. He iss very careful not to attract the attention of the mutants who were most likely in the zombie crowd.
Some zombies pushed by Tanaka into the hospital. Tanaka did so because some of them were blocking the entrance. Tanaka continued his journey.
The voices of the zombies could be heard clearly. A voice echoed within the building.
Some of the zombies looked like they were asleep. Some do it while standing and some do it while lying down normally.
Hospital maps can be seen in the lobby area. Tanaka tried to sketch the path he was going to take. His first target was the information room area which most likely contained a medical device storage list.
Continuing to walk, Tanaka met something large. He is about two meters tall and had muscles that looked toned.
It's not a mutant. Upon closer inspection, it was a zombie that had a yakuza-like stature. Tattoos are on various parts of his body.
"I thought he was a mutant!"
Tanaka continued his steps towards the front of a door that had a sign that said 'Information Room'. Tanaka tried to open the door. However, the door was locked.
"Damn, do I have to break in!"
Tanaka who had no way of unlocking the room only thought of forcefully opening it. Tanaka kept trying to open it with the handle until it broke.
"I have to break it down!"
Tanaka decided to break down the door. However, the breakthrough he did was not a typical breakthrough. He looked just like he was pushing the door with his body.
The sound of metal creaking came from within the walls. The door that Tanaka 'broke down' could now be opened.
However, the squeaky sound of the iron still attracts the attention of the zombies. Tanaka which was not detected by them should not feel threatened by it.
However, if Tanaka reconsidered, the approaching zombies would actually block his path.
Tanaka immediately took a chair in the room and threw it into a corridor that Tanaka would not pass. The zombies are now diverted towards the landing chair.
Tanaka returned to the room. He saw there was one corpse with scrub clothes attached. There was a syringe attached to the base of his neck. Likely, he killed himself.
"He must be a doctor here,"
Tanaka commented. He tried to sever the corpse's neck to prevent its body from turning into a zombie.
Tanaka continued to search for the information he needed. He looked at the table and found a lot of documents related to the patient's condition and others. However, that information was not what Tanaka was looking for.
After some time, Tanaka found it. It was a document related to the placement of various medical equipment. Rather than calling it a document, it might be more appropriate to call it a manual for workers at the hospital.
Tanaka picked up the various keys in the room. Before leaving, Tanaka tried to retrieve the suitcase that was under the doctor's corpse.
It was a suitcase with lots of syringes.
"I don't know what this and this is. But I think it will come in handy!"
Tanaka took the suitcase and the things inside. He is now receiving anesthetics and vaccines for several types of viruses. Of course Tanaka didn't know what those things were for at the moment.
Tanaka exited the room and walked through the crowd of zombies who had been attracted by the sound of chairs. Tanaka headed towards the medical equipment storage area and the operating room.
In the storage room, Tanaka gathered quite a lot of items. No mutants were found along the way.
In the operating room, Tanaka collects the tools he might find useful. No mutants were found along the way.
"This is weird... Why are there no mutants here at all?"
Tanaka is surprised. He was walking in a crowd of zombies.
Since there were no mutants hanging around, Tanaka thought of something. Something evil if the creatures around him are humans.
Unlike before, Tanaka was now not worried about the possibility of mutants appearing. Tanaka hit some of the zombies he passed. Deadly blow.
Suitcase in left hand and big bag on back. The right hand is used as a limb that hits the zombies.
Tanaka returned to the front of the lobby. He was confronted by countless zombies that had gathered together. They were zombies who entered the building when they heard the sound of chairs. However, because their senses weren't very accurate, they stopped at the lobby.
"Ughhhhh..."
Tanaka growled. He only had one hand to get rid of the zombies while the number standing in the way is hundreds or more.
...
About eight minutes Tanaka struggled through the door. He gave up and now chose to go through the window he broke.
The zombies are approaching into that direction. Tanaka quickly left before being surrounded by them.
Immediately Tanaka went to where the truck had been. Tanaka looked at the empty parking lot.
"Hah?"
Tanaka, who was sure that he had put the truck in that place, is now confused. He tried to look around for his truck by getting up into one of the cars.
The result found is nil. The truck has disappeared.

They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Legacy, a vrmmo game, is the first of its kind to actually look like the fantasy games kids dream of. Darius gets the game, planning to just have fun and maybe get some friends. Unfortunately, he's the protagonist, so yeahhhh shit's gonna happen He chooses the mage class which is often ridiculed for its low health and high MP costs. And he somehow becomes the top player within the game... There is gonna be fucking profanity because books where the protagonist is like "fiddlesticks" when they fuck up are stupid and targeted at kids that haven't gone thru puberty yet. And yes, there will be gore. Otherwise what's the point of these games? The cover is not mine and I don't own it okay I just got it off one of those sites rate this if you feel like it
