《Living in my Own World!》Prologue

If you had told me a day ago or even an hour ago that I would be stabbed and thrown into my world, I would've probably called you crazy.
And yet, here we are, in some very grassy plains near a town that had some walls on its sides.
For this to make sense, I'd have to go back to the beginning, when I was on my way home from the office.
My game, Eternity Online, was very successful. Because of this, I had to get an office with employees and such to help me keep it alive and maintained correctly. It wasn't that I couldn't do it myself, but I decided that limited stress is the kind of stress I enjoy. You can't do everything yourself, or so I was told.
So here we are, 15 minutes away from the office walking down a very dark alleyway. I wasn't afraid because I've done this route a lot of times, and therefore got less and less scared of it.
In hindsight, I should've probably gotten a car with all the money that was coming in, but what could you do.
As I was listening to music on my phone and walking down this alleyway, I spotted a man not too far away from me, just far enough that touching was impossible.
The man just looked up at me and stated, "You better drop all the valuables you have on you or things are gonna get dirty."
I stepped back on reflex and began sweating slightly. This had never happened to me before, and I was also alarmed at the thought of dying. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
"I only have a couple of dollars and my phone on me. Here, take it." I said, tossing my phone on the ground.
"I know who you are. Don't you dare try to lie to me, Jacob Ward. I know you're the CEO of a massive corporation, you should have more than just a couple dollars on you," the robber said.

"I don't have any more on m-" Before he was even finished speaking, the robber ran up to him and stabbed him in his chest, and, not having time to react, Jacob slumped to the ground immediately.
I didn't even finish my game, I thought while sighing.
I closed my eyes in defeat, taking one last look at the sky before taking my last breath.
Yet, a few seconds later, he felt the sun on his body, and he was confused once more.
When he opened his eyes, he immediately saw a blazing sun beaming its light down onto him, a beautiful grassy plain all around him, and a small lake behind him.
He was confused, yet happy. He was wondering if this is what death is like, but then he realized he was a 15-year-old version of himself, which didn't make much sense, and everything felt so real. Also, the little display in his vision made him think this was similar to his game due to how closely related they looked.
He noticed a bar with HP and MP next to them, red and blue respectively, under his name. He realized that these were very similar to what his game looked like, if not the same.
Status, I thought. I did this to see if this was my world since there would be a specific thing I would be looking for. When the screen didn't come, I was confused. Then, a prompt came up.
NOTICE:
You currently do not have access to this feature.
Requirements:
- Skill [Status]
I stared at the prompt blankly. I never made the status screen a skill, but maybe it was a good idea. I decided to try the backdoor that I implemented because of distrust in the office. I had given many people administrator privileges in the game, so I had to make sure that I could revert it whenever.
Admin Panel, I thought. In my world, most of the actions which are not related to magic are done through the mind.

NOTICE:
You must enter the admin password.
Username Jacob, password JacobIsUrBoss13!!#$.
NOTICE:
Welcome, Jacob.
Command line has been prepared for use, user rank is Super Administrator.
I chuckled at my password, knowing that everyone at the office would groan at it if they saw it. I had made the command line instead of a panel because it was easier for me to use, and I found it a lot more fun than just a panel with buttons. Proceeding to open the command line, I began typing commands.
> debug.testmode 100 Entity.ELDER_DRAGON 10
> notificationmode commandline
Debug has been enabled, you are now level 100 with the statistics of an Elder Dragon, with a multiplier of 10.
Notifications have been limited to command line and will show up as messages only.
I did the first command just to test that I could do it, and sure enough, I did. The latter was just to make sure it wasn't going to hinder me on battles or anything like that. I didn't really want to be too over the top, so I decided to change myself to an above average level, but still good.
> debug.setrank 45
> debug.statmultiplier 5
> debug.give ITEM_MONEYBAG{amount = 1000000}
> debug.affinity = ALL
These commands would set my rank to 45, make my statistics like intelligence and luck 5 times higher than a normal person's, give me E$1,000,000, equivalent to almost 1 billion USD and finally give me every magical affinity. Intelligence and Wisdom are the main things needed to be a Mage. I also decided to get every skill, too.
> skills.grant Jacob * 10
At this point, I decided that no one could kill me and that would be no fun. So, to make things more interesting, I decided to wipe my memory and only keep a select few that could help me in fights, and also, to make the skills come gradually by leveling and such. To do this, I had to set a name for every memory and keep it. I also decided to make it so that I am immortal and can grant immortality too, and that would be a kept memory. To do this, I had to change bodies.
Looking at the sky, I knew that this would be a fun adventure, especially since I can be evolved into a God at some point to help some people.
With my final goodbye given to the world, I kept the memory of immortality skills, the world map, the AI and how to use it and finally about most if not all spells if I had at least a tiny bit of knowledge on them.
> user.switchbodies KEEPMEMORIES=IMMORTALITY,MAP,AXIOM,SPELLS RACE=EVOLVED_HUMAN CLASS=UNIVERSAL BODYQUALITY=GODLY STATS=GOOD MULTIPLIER=3 AGE=2Y ACCESS=1
With my preferred body set, all I had to do now was enter the command and I would be forgetting mostly everything, and it would only come back when I truly needed it. My Evolved Human race allowed my new body to handle the power it would be getting and would have a lot of mana. My body would have 3x the normal speed of leveling and statistic increases. In general, it would be easier to live, and easier to protect the family that I will have, The access to the admin panel, if I ever figure it out again, is pretty limited, but there is a way to get back to Super Administrator if I need to remember it. I've also given the AI instructions that will bring that certain memory back if I am ever in critical condition without a chance to live.
Hopefully, I won't be needing it. I want a challenge, but I don't want death.
With that, I entered the command and everything went black.

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…
