《To Be A Senior Brother》Chapter 3: Tian Lu Foundation Establishment

Tian Lu was pacing in his cave. He heard the message the sect master sent to everyone. He had to go to a secret realm to compete for treasures and opportunities.
‘No treasure is worth my life.’ he thought. The senior disciple was panicking. He was forcefully dragged to this sect by a strange muscular man 10 years ago. Since then, he had only gone out of the sect a handful of times, they never ended well. Heck. even the times he went out in the sect hadn’t gone well. He remembered a few years ago he went to the sect hall to get some materials for his soon-to-be junior sister, and a strange old man kept trying to instigate him. He wasn’t sure what the strange old man wanted, but he was afraid and he accidentally unleashed the secret inside of him.
Tian Lu had a secret, a big secret. A heaven-grade treasure was attached to his soul. A soul that didn’t belong to this space and time. This treasure had the power to warp reality. Right now, he was only strong enough to activate a tiny portion of its powers. One of those was to disguise his qi completely. That meant he could exert the pressure of a Transcendent Realm expert and crush anyone who was within his qi’s range. And if he activated the treasure, that could be the qi of a Transcendent Realm expert. Truly frightening. Now he didn’t actually have the power or the ability of the Transcendent Realm, but just the pressure from the qi could force most cultivators to pass out. Tian Lu had spent years in the cave training how to use this treasure when he realized his body was talented in cultivation but not to the level of a second-rate sect. He reached a bottleneck fairly quickly and decided to use his intellect from another world and the incredible doping effects of the cultivation cave to achieve mastery in many different fields.

The otherworlder had tried to bring in knowledge from his previous life but realized he was a good-for-nothing. He only read trashy novels and lived a basic life. He had no love, no attachments, and only lived to read - waiting for a new release every two days. He was an addict who knew some things about his previous world, but not really. So he dove into this world’s knowledge and tried to combine it with what he’s read. And everything he read warned him he was in for a bad time. He was able to keep hidden by staying in the cave and learning about this world as much as he could but he knew this wasn’t good for him. But by the time he realized that, he had gotten used to being thought of as an aloof, omnipotent senior disciple and senior brother. He had to keep up that act, because if anyone knew he was truly just a Foundation Establishment cultivator, things were not going to end well for him.
He had to devise a plan to survive the secret realm, keep himself safe, and also look out for his junior disciples. Forcing his master to get other disciples was truly a genius move, he thought.
‘I can have MC-level protectors and all I have to do is help them reach the peak of cultivation. I can be the ultimate support. This was definitely better than my plan to make my master the strongest. That guy is so unreliable. No, deep breaths. Don’t think about your untrustworthy master who’s never around when you need him.’ That night the senior disciple and Senior Brother hatched a plan like no other.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
