Intermission 1 – Three Missing Girls

Today is not the same as always because someone is making a ruckus inside the guild hall.

The one cause the scene is Shilerze Van Rushel a Rank 1 explorer and a noble.

He informed the guild about the three missing girls that entered a cave without proper permission.

“WHY!? I WANT YOU TO SEND A TEAM TO FIND MY DAUGHTER!” he shouted in front of the reception desk.

The receptionist almost faint because of the tremendous pressure he is emitting and his voice is loud that even a bear will run away from fear.

But the receptionist manages to stay composed and said “Sir. Please calm down, I understand how you feel about the missing girls, but they didn’t follow the proper procedure, as per rule of the guild. They initiate an expedition with their own discretion, I’m very sorry but we cannot do anything about it.”

Good one receptionist I hope that he will calm down now.

It is true a member of the explorer guild must always inform the guild if they are going in an expedition especially if they are going to explore a cave. Since most the cave has valuable items it is advisable to explore one but alongside of the treasure, it is also a breeding ground of some dangerous monster.

“Then if the guild won’t do anything about it, then I will make a request! And that request is investigate the whereabouts of the missing girls”

“Then why don’t we talk it over in my room” I made my appearance as soon as he declared his intention.

This kind of talk must be done privately since his request will be dangerous to a low rank explorer.

“If you are going to be adamant about it Sir Rushel, we will be accepting your request, but to inform you this kind of request will cost you a large amount of money.”

“Master!, but this kind of request is not within our Jurisdiction”

I calmly told Mr. Rushel the consequence of his action, because it will need about 500 gold coins to send an investigation team, especially the girls the girls disappeared without living any trace behind.

Andrea the assistant branch head is right, it’s out of our jurisdiction, it will fall under the category of search and rescue that is under the Knights Union, but there is a loop hole on that rule.

“Andrea that is true that is out of our jurisdiction but if the request is to investigate a reported discovery of a new ruin, and coincidentally the missing girls is also to be there, right?”

‘Well, that is true Master.”

Andrea the Receptionist suddenly become meek after I told her about the loop hole, then a look straight a Mr. Rushel eyes and said “We will be accept your request but it will cost you 500 gold coins because I’ll be sending an elite team just to find you daughter and her friends”

“Then do it, the mission is find any clue about the mission girls, and if possible bring them back dead or alive, I’ll paying once the mission is over.”.

“I can arrange a team easily, and they can start their mission with 2 cycles.”

“Good, then I’ll take my leave.”

Mr. Rushel left the room, i told Andrea to summon The hounds, they are the group of Elite Rank 1 explorers that is directly under my control.

If this mission succeeded then Mr. Rushel will owe me favor, since the Knights Union has bad reputation because of their bad deeds that is well-known all over the kingdom.

A big smile is plastered own my face, because Mr. Rushel is not a simple noble because he is the governor of this town.

He can command the local military to do it for himself but this town will be left defenseless, because the knights Union will not move without the king’s order and the explorer will not move without big compensation.

“You owe me big time, Governor” i smiled and muttered to myself.
