Chapter 8: New Class and Pet!
Veinholm
Aeleus POV
"You may have noticed by now, but this quest is a B-rank quest. You are too weak right now to do this" Farin said worriedly
Aeleus clenched his hand tightly before saying "Right now I am, but after I gain more spells and advance my class, I'll be strong enough to kill the king."
"A class advance? More spells? You seem to have forgotten what the kingdom of Veinholm specialized in. Would you like to learn?" Farin said
"Yes!" Aeleus quickly replied
Class Change
The last of his kind, Farin, has expressed interest in you and has offered the first rank of the Dark Mage, the Dark Acolyte.Accept?Decline?
Aeleus quickly hit the accept button and heard a system announcement.
"Congratulations to the player Aeleus for being the first to advance his class"
"Shit" Aeleus swore, "Now everyone will know who I am"
Farin ignoring him handed him a book. Aeleus read the title and almost dropped the book in shock and surprise
"Th.. This is a skill book!" He shouted
A skill book is a more advanced form of a spell blueprint, and one can learn the skill inside without using ingredients like those needed when using spell blueprints.
"These are extremely rare! Are you sure it's ok to give me this?" Aeleus asked
Farin helplessly shrugged his skeleton soldiers "Look around you, I'm a shadow of my former self, and there is no one else to learn these spells"
Aeleus replied "Then I shall not waste this chance" and opened the skill book and images bombarded his vision.

Memory POV
A man wielding a staff made completely out of bones and dressed in all black appeared staring at a blueprint.
"Finally, I have completed my version of dark fireball."
"Dark Fireball!"
A glowing black fireball appeared on the tip of his staff, growing in size before reaching the size of a cannonball. Once it hit the ground, it exploded and corroded the floor, leaving the impression of a cannonball sized object in it.

Veinholm
Aeleus POV
"That... was... AWESOME!" Aeleus shouted
The skill [Dark Fireball] has been learned
Quickly pulling up his skills list Aeleus saw a new spell next to his [Fire Orb] and clicked on it.
Skill Name:Skill Rank:Skill Level:Skill Experience:Dark FireballBlack10%Launches a pitch black fireball imbued with the powers of dark and fire. Has a corrosion effect and slight burn effect. Deals 25 base damage and scales with intelligence, darkness and fire. Costs 20 mana per use.
"This spell is so OP" Aeleus said
Farin smiled before frowning, "Unfortunately young acolyte, your time here is running out and I must return you to the village where you were first at."
"Right, this place is just a memory of yours" Aeleus said
"That's correct and now I must return you. We will meet again once you become stronger and gain more strength." Farin said
"Goodbye Farin" Aeleus said
"Goodbye Aeleus" Farin replied

Tutorial Village
Aeleus POV
“Level 60, huh, I need to level up 55 more times before I have a chance to kill the King” Aeleus said
“The fastest way to gain levels would be grinding monsters, but to do that I need more spells.”
As he said this, Aeleus remembered something very important, and quickly opened his inventory.
“Here it is, a , and I need a magic stone to activate it.”
Aeleus also remembered that he could get a Magic stone in the beginner’s tournament later in the day.

“What to do till the tournament starts” Aeleus wondered
Opening his inventory once again, Aeleus found the following items.

Aeleus’s eyes widened as he realized he never awakened his pet [Elder Red Fox].
“I only need one more to awaken the egg” Aeleus said and set off towards the Grassy Plains.

Grassy Plains
Aeleus POV
Arriving at the boss spawn, Aeleus saw that Krys and her group had left and the boss was calmly resting on its rock.
“Krys… I’ll show her and her group that I’m not weak.” Aeleus muttered darkly before looking back at the boss.
[Dark Fireball]
A black ball emitting intense heat shot from Aeleus’s wand colliding with the boss.

“40 damage? That spell almost does the same amount of damage as a critical on [Fire Orb].”
A box quickly appeared on the right side of Aeleus’s face.
[Elder Red Fox] has been poisoned.
Deals 5 damage every second for 5 seconds
“This spell is OP” Aeleus muttered.
The [Elder Red Fox] jumped out and started to howl
“Shit!” Aeleus started to cast another [Dark Fireball], as he noticed the boss trying to summon helpers, but was too late, as three [Adult Red Foxes] jumped out from the forest and ran towards him.
[Pounce] [Pounce] [Pounce] [Pounce]
The three [Adult Red Foxes] and the [Elder Red Fox] all pounced on Aeleus at the same time, and taking away a large chuck of his hp.

“Damn it…” Aeleus said as 78 damage was dealt to him, leaving him with 47/125 hp.
“Need a way to kill these foxes without them killing me first” Aeleus thought and quickly looked at his surroundings.
“Dang it! There is nothing nearby to help me kill these foxes, I’m dead!”Aeleus thought, but before the foxes attacked him, he felt a very strong wind pass through the forest.
Aeleus’s eye’s quickly brightened as he figured out a way to kill all the foxes, but there was a small chance he would also die because of it.
[Fire Orb] [Fire Orb] [Fire Orb] [Fire Orb] [Fire Orb]
Aeleus casted 5 [Fire Orb]’s around the foxes, and watched as they were trapped in a ring of fire. Normally the foxes could just jump over the ring since the spell Aeleus used was Unranked and wasn’t very powerful, but in this case the winds that Aeleus noticed earlier were stoking the fire, and making it bigger. Before long the ring of fire turned into a huge column of fire, and windows were popping up in front of him.

“Hahaha!” Aeleus laughed, as light shone on him and one of his legs was standing on a rock, making him look incredibly arrogant.
“Bow before me you peasants! I, the great Aeleus, have killed the boss without any help!”
The rest of the players who were grinding the [Adult Red Foxes], didn’t even spare him a glance and continued to grind. Aeleus saw this and fell on his knees as large, comical tears started to appear from his eyes, “They didn’t even look at me” Aeleus said extremely sad.
Quickly jumping to his feet, Aeleus opened his inventory and clicked on the

Quickly clicking the yes on the pop-up, the egg started to crack and a little white fox emerged from the egg.
“White fox? Weren’t the foxes from before red?” Aeleus said and tapped on his pets information window.
