《Chronicles of a former God - the lives of Vince and Remus》6. In the white world 1

“ You are not dead you know.”
When Remus turned his head to look at the source of the voice, he found a silver haired boy, standing a few meters away from him.
The boy had golden eyes and a face handsome enough to put Hollywood actors to shame, he was a bit taller than Remus and had a lean muscular body. He was wearing a simple white shirt and a pair of jeans.
Remus’ head was filled with countless thoughts.
He was confused. No matter how much he racked his brain, he could not understand the situation. But, being a person with great mental fortitude, he knew the best course of action.
He stopped all thinking processes for a moment and took a deep breath.
Then, he looked at the boy in front of him and said,
“ Explain. What is going on?".
.
.
.
.
Vince was startled.
He wanted to test the guy in front of him thus, after using his skill , he left him alone for a bit.
He wanted to see how Remus would react, being forced into an unprecedented situation.
He thought that Remus would be startled, anxious and even a bit scared, but the youth had crushed his expectations.
He was impressed by the way Remus reacted and handled the situation.
Vince recollected his thoughts and answered,
“ Very well. Just like I said, you are not dead or in any kind of danger. This might be a bit hard for you to understand but you are currently in a separate dimension that I created or to put it correctly, your soul is.”
Remus nodded
“ figured as much. So, why am I here?”
Vince was startled yet again.
“ You believe me? Aren’t you shocked? ”
Remus closed his eyes and sighed.

“huh~ how is that going to help? And to answer your first question, I have no choice but to believe you for the moment. This is not a dream and I am not drugged either.
Furthermore, this place or dimension you called it? It’s not like anything I have seen or felt before. I can tell, this is not earth. This is not a place that modern science can explain.
You said that it was only my soul that was brought here, putting aside the argument that a soul actually exists or not, If it is true, that explains why I can’t feel the sense of touch.
So, now it’s your turn to answer my question, why am I here”
Listening to Remus’ explanation, Vince was surprised, but more than that, he was relieved.
He thought that he would have to try hard to make the youth in front of him believe him.
“ Well, I am a bit surprised. But seeing as how you are handling the situation, it would not be appropriate for me, the one who did all this, to act this way. So, I will drop all the formalities and explain.”
Vince looked at Remus, he could see his lips curve in a smile.
“ Just the way I like it! You shouldn’t have spoken in such a stiff tone in the first place.”
Vince spoke
“ I will answer all the questions you want after the explanation. First, this place is called . It is a dimension I created for various purposes.
The flow of time here is different from your dimension. It might seem like a few turns have passed in here but in your world, not even a moment has passed.
So you can be a bit relieved, you have not missed anything important in your world.”

Remus’ expression instantly turned relieved.
Vince continued,
“ I could tell you were worried about something or someone so I cleared that first. Now for the main issue. The reason for which I brought you here. Please, I want you to save my world.”
“ No.”
An instant reply.
Remus knew it was going to be something like that. He was fond of reading and had read books of all kinds, that included novels that featured otherworld travel.
Fantasy was one of his favorite genre and reading these novels brought him great pleasure and excitement.
He always wondered, what it would be like, to live a life like that.
Get transported to another world, meeting new people, travel, maybe save the world, form a har *crack*. This was where his imagination ended, because he had Ahenna.
Imagining and actually doing it were two very different things.
Right now, his life was filled with Ahenna and taking care of her.
Taking care of her was never a pain, rather it calmed his heart.
Even until Vince’s time related explanation, he was worried about her.
When he thought he had died, the biggest thing that weighed on his mind was not being able to be by her side.
He did not know how long she had left, thus every moment with her was precious. He had even considered leaving school to take care of her until the end.
For that reason, even considering going to another world was, for him, impossible.
But,
“ What if I said I could save Ahenna?”

Anti-Hero: Journey of Fear
There is a story where the hero makes friends, completes quests, and saves the world. This is NOT that story. In the VR world of Fate: Experience Acute Realism, the main character cuts his way through both the players and NPCs alike. This story takes a close look at how a true full immersion VR would be played. The setting is an open VR world where the players struggle to survive with a lack of knowledge and the NPCs panic in regards to the Travelers invading their world. The anti-hero of this story is cold and calculating. Sparing no one from his reign of terror he gives into occasional bouts of kindness before he is forced back on the path of blood and tears. For where there is a hero who seeks to bring people together to help the world move forward, there is an anti-hero who brings people together to seize the world for himself. WARNING: This story contains extreme violence, in every single chapter. This story contains references to sex, but no explicit scenes. This story has light to mild swearing. My chapters normally range from 4,000 to 5,000 words. This story does not contain happy endings, middles, or even beginnings.
