《I am CAT》The Lurker

The cat, waking up to a new day, stretched out its limbs and stood up. It saw the person in the lab coat sleeping at their desk with their window open.
The cat saw the opportunity and climbed the person’s desk to escape the building through this open window.
After leaving the building, it walked on top of the stone fences and noticed many people walking in every direction. The cat followed one person among all these people. This person had a gray hoodie on making it difficult to tell their features, but this person seemed young, probably a teenager, and was carrying a bag of sorts along their shoulder.
As the cat followed it, it realized there were fewer houses appearing alongside the road. Eventually, the fence the cat was walking on had ended so it had to jump down onto the sidewalk.
The person the cat was following eventually stopped at a what seemed like a place where metal was stored and thrown about. The person looked around, squatted down and picked up a small piece of metal, before throwing it into the bag. The cat, intrigued by his action, continued to watch him.
This person continued to repeat this cycle of looking around and picking up small bits of metal. The cat, feeling bored, decided to leave, but then the person let out a yelp causing the cat to stare at it.
The person seemed to have found a shiny small metal, even smaller than the bits of metal the person had found before. The person then, realizing he let out a loud noise, held that piece of metal close to their chest before cautiously looking around itself. The person noticed the cat staring at them. The person treaded towards the cat before whispering to the cat.
“Leave cat. This is my treasure. I won’t let you take it.”

The cat, however, was unable to understand what this person had said and had stood still, silently staring at the person.
The person then looked angry and yelled out the cat while waving his arms at it.
The cat then realized the person didn’t want it to be here, so it took the hint and left the unusual person behind. A moment later, the cat looked back at the person who kept that small piece of metal in their hand before once again leaving the area.
As it was leaving the “metal yard” it noticed a grinning person standing at the entrance staring at the direction the cat came from. The cat, however, ignored this person and walked straight past them.
After walking for what seemed like a few minutes, the cat scaled a rock fence and then fell asleep.
A person wearing a lab coat then walked towards the cat and picked it up.
“I wonder why you like to escape so much little one.”
After saying that, the person left in the direction of the building that seemed to be a laboratory.

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say.
