Saturn Orbit - The Pinnacle
December 3, 2558, C.E.
Allorien was roughly humanoid in shape and eight feet tall. His skin was extremely pale, sheet white and they wore long robes of the same color. His long silver hair and deep silver eyes supported a fully monochromatic appearance the only thing that contracted his unified appearance was a golden ring floating unsupported above his head.
Mahtan Allorien could feel it through the metal dome. They felt it over the hundreds of thousands of kilometers the wave traveled. They felt it through the walls of his spaceship. Allorien did not need their computer to feel it. It was conscious magic. The race of humans Allorien watched has done a lot of work to ignore the word and manifestation of energy called magic.
Humanity tried to explain away with science anything that could not be known. To unravel the mysteries of the energy around them. Humans choose not to ask real questions that would help them grow as people. They knew once but seemed to forget, that they could control forces of energy stronger than anything they created. They called it “magic” because they could not explain it. However, with the scientific advances they made, their advancement as a culture stalled. They could not progress any further using the scientific method. They only had one way left to advance, toward magic.
Allorien had been watching humanity since the year 2063. The earlier Mahtan, Pernelis, had died in 2096. The Crysix race deploys the Mahtan class of people to watch other races they have seeded around the galaxy. The Crysix society interprets humanity’s eras as each Mahtan’s time. Mahtan Pernelis’ era which ranged from 1564 to 2096 was termed by the Crysix as “The Downfall of Humanity.” Humans called it many things but it all started with what humans called “The Age of Reason.”

Allorien was here to watch and not interfere. There were many times where they thought humanity would not continue to exist. Over the time Allorien watched humanity, they have written reports that have included lines such as “I don’t expect them to survive the next fifty years.” and “This race is our greatest success.” Allorien’s supervisors had chided him after the conflicting messages he sent. They claimed Allorien’s reports were impulsive and irrational. This was one of the largest insults imaginable for the Crysix race. His reporting was logical. The race of humanity was impulsive and irrational.
His spacecraft was invisible from the outside. Tiny cameras built into each side of the ship made the other side of the ship appear as if the ship was not there. Allorien’s ship had an armor plating that humanity could not detect with radar or any other means to their disposal yet.
Last time a child race detected them though radar the Crysix it caused a brief advance in Crysix technology. A race always created radar technology before they would contact the Crysix. Once the Crysix learned that they began to develop a stealth technology that they had hope would last until magic was a science. That was the moment the Crysix targeted the races to contact them. That child race found the Crysix too soon and looked to the Crysix as an enemy. The Crysix exterminated them as a failure.
Allorien sent a quick note to his supervisor, they did not move physically the text displayed on the screen regardless:
Findecáno Sadrill,
I have found the strongest source of conscious energy manipulation yet recorded by humanity. The spike of anxiety released in a split second was beyond the charting systems in my ship. A Human is starting to use energy flow, not chemical medicine, to manage emotions. I intend to track this subject as closely as possible. I will inform my compatriots.

Mahtan Allorien.
Allorien’s golden ring vibrated slightly and the ship came out of a static orbit around Saturn. They cleared the satellite orbit which held them for over twenty years and sighed deeply. ‘Finally, we’re making some progress.’ Allorien watched the gas giant planets for any progress, it was his mission. There were three other Mahtan in the solar system watching humanity, but Allorien thought they were onto something strong enough to follow it personally.

NOVA INTERIT.US
It's 2063, and the town along with much of the nation are in disarray. The decay started years before the Great Event. Our town still had hope thanks to the five families, who'd created a blockchain based water distribution system for the locals, a valuable secret hidden from the Global Water Commission and their network of mercenaries. Earlier in the mid-2040's, right after the state secessions of Idaho, Montana, and Texas, the Global Council of Water Commissioners made their deals and moved into towns throughout the country. They called it "the integration." The Commission and their contractors integrated with municipal water departments, using their organized network to invade like parasites on local services. It all coincided with the 29th Amendment to the United States Constitution, later referred to as the Regional Trident Plan. Nova is a story about survival, power structures, the turning of relationships, and the networking between people and the systems to which they belong. It’s about A.I. blockchain possibility, and its potential for human betterment versus our detriment. It’s about the question of whether or not we need to be saved from ourselves, and by who or what? The Great Event at the end of the first chapter might just be what actually saves us. The epilogue will take place in 2517. This scene is fully sketched and the full arc of the novel is set. I expect to finish Nova Interitus by summer of 2023. This is realist hard-sci-fi dystopian fiction. I hope you find Nova to be a challenging and consuming story. This is not something I planned to write. It all came to me in a dream and I haven't been able to stop writing it. This Royal Road posting is basically a beta test with chapters and drafts to get some feedback and see if there's any readership for this narrative. For the full experience read Nova on Substack. I will be narrating a podcast version later this year there. https://novainteritus.substack.com/

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website. Cover is AI-generated, cover font is Salvar Font by Salvar on fontspace (https://www.fontspace.com/salvar-font-f42807).

Death Lives
When the universe is destroyed the avatar of death is reborn.Once an all powerful being but limited in scope, Death now has a chance to learn and grow.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is my first novel, please be critical of it where it needs to be. I'm not sure if there will be romance in the future. It is unlikely for the MC but perhaps I will have meaningful relationships between side characters that will be worth adding the tag.The Mature tag is simply because there will be killing, descriptive scenes, and more. There will be no described rape at all in my story, anything of the like will be merely alluded to but not talked about in any matter if at all. Please enjoy and thank you.
