Ehrenar City...
In the market section of the City, a place where people in here are seems always busy. A pretty-faced boy, Yoro, is can be seen standing in front of the building where he assumed Old Iger is living.
But even as sure as he is to his sense of direction, Yoro can't help but doubt that this is the correct building. he feels that hesitation from the very first time he sees the exterior of this thing
It is somehow a bit...dilapidated? From the front of it, the store sign of this place is already lost its colour, making it almost impossible to see what is written in it. And the chain which hanged this thing has lost one of its chains. Damn, even the front door where the customer should be entered is missing one of its hinges.
Nevertheless, Yoro can see a chimney that letting out a cloud of black smoke. A sign that there is some kind of furnace or forge inside. And around this part, the only building that has a chimney on top of it is the only one in front of him.
So, regardless of the bad condition of the building and the hesitation he felt earlier, he has no choice but enters in to make sure it was the right...building?
Yoro: 'well...looks more like a dwarf hut for me' and sadly, it is his most honest opinion right there. But that is just showing how bad the building situation is, right now.
Knocking the door, there is no one answering him. So without bothering to try knocking again, he just enters it with or without the permission of this Old Iger or whoever the owner is.
Surprisingly as he got inside, that place interior is cleaner than he first expected it to be. Even, well... his expectation of the place is not that far from the image of a sinking ship, though.
Looking around, he can see on the side of the room that there are many kinds of weapon hanged on the wall. Ranged from the sword, scimitar, rapier to spear and war hammer, even he can see some nunchucks in there.

Can't hold his curiosity, he activated his clairvoyance and pull the sword he borrowed from Chad to slash at one of the most sturdier-looking sword hanged there. But the results are quite disappointing.
The blade he slashed at is chirped in the middle. While the sword he used just now is coming out unscathed in anywhere he can see. Shaking his head, he deactivated his clairvoyance and look at the other side, just to be startled by the sound of slamming door.
*BAM
???: "Hmm? What are snot-nosed brat like you doin' in this place?"With a gruff voice, a bulky man with a quite fat strature of body comes out from behind the door.
But while he is a little fat, a muscle in his hand can be seen quite clearly even from a dim place like this. A sign that he is a person who likes to use his hand, but unfortunately not his legs.
Yoro: "are you Old Iger the blacksmith?" Ask Yoro with a clearly disappointed voice.
Hearing that kid question, Old Iger just snort at him and folded his arm in his chest. Which Yoro take that as a yes.
Pointing at the sword he slashed earlier using clairvoyance, he then criticizes him. "I've checked the weapon here, and I could say that the quality of your work here quite sucks"
Iger: "you haven't answer ma question brat" with an annoyed voice, he then approaches Yoro until his alcoholic breath touches his nose. "If you don't have any business here, then get out! I am a busy old man, and there is work to be done"
Seeing his unfriendly approach, Yoro can just sigh to himself and pull out a certain bottle from behind his jacket. "Why don't you spare me some time from that busy work," he said, while he pushes the bottle to Iger's chest.
After he takes the bottle from Yoro, he then grins as he sees what is it. "Now we're talking" walking to the counter desk, he then pulls the cork with his teeth before smelling the content. "This is some of hella expensive stuff" but contrary to what he said, he just drinks it without worry like he is just drinking water.

Exhaling a satisfied breath, he said: "you're right, this old man is Iger, and people used to call me Old Iger the blacksmith" taking another gulp of the wine, he then added "but you're wrong, boy. All things here are the weapon that people sold to me. My work is not for people to see"
Seeing this old guy more closely, Yoro thought: 'well, it seems my father isn't just choosing a random person to make my sword' after that, his mouth turn upwards and he pulls out the pouch which is given by his father.
Yoro: "well let me introduce myself then old man" clearing his throat, Yoro then said to that blacksmith: "I am Yoro, the son of marquesses of Ehren. For what my business here..." folding his arm, he then let that old man complete his sentence.
Iger: "to take your sword, right?" Scratching his messy grey hair, he then slams his wine one the table. "Alrighty, let me grab your sword for one sec" and then he goes inside.
Banging sound can be heard from inside. There is also creaking from a drawer and squeaking from...he doesn't know anymore. It continues for a while until he finally appears from behind the door.
His hair has just become messier after he went inside. But in his hand is a sword, that rolled up in cloth. Throwing it at the table, he then back at his drinking as he sits in back in there.
Unroll the cloth, Yoro can see an amazingly...no, nothing amazing. It's actually just an ordinary sword in a scabbard. Therefore, with doubt drips out in his voice, he asks Iger who still enjoying his alcohol "you sure this is the right one?" But the answer he receives from him is not helping at all.
Iger: "just check it first and comment later. if you didn't like it, then I'll just take the sword back" he said while taking another gulp of his wine.
Hearing his unreliable answer, Yoro can just shake his head helplessly before grabbing the handle of the sword. Pulling it out, Yoro finally can see the real body of the sword. A white metallic lustre adorned with a streak of black line in some side part of the sword.
Iger: "heh, and that is my real work brat" and he is not even trying to be humble right there. But then, even if this thing looks sturdy and strong, a test is must be made.
Yoro: "well, while it seems promising-" he put it on the table vertically before grabbing his guard sword in hand. Activating his clairvoyance, he cut the sword right in the middle. Just to find-

the sword he is holding breaks into two parts.
Deactivating clairvoyance, he can't help but feel some unbelievable feeling in his chest. And that's only normal. The sword he tests before and the one he tests just now is having a very vast difference in term of quality. Now if he doubts this old man for fraud, then any of that is gone now.
Iger: "hey brat, it seems you have a unique way there to test the sword" while all that happening, in Iger perspective there, he just sees him raising his sword, just to lowers it in the next second while having a wide-eyed expression on his face. Iger never sees it before, but its sure one hella weird technique he has there.
Yoro: "I have my own ways, and you know it is none of your business" sheathing his sword back to its scabbard, yoro then pick his new sword up before asking Iger: "alright, business is done," he said while pushing the pouch to Iger.
Opening it, he just sees it briefly before tying the knot again. "Alright kiddo, tell your father to comes anytime," he said while grinning.
And Yoro there just turn his body and leave while waving his hand at him. Because after he got his weapon, it is time to step up some of his plans and carry out for the real reason he is here in the first place

A Generic Dungeon Core Story
When one falls… what happens? Do they just disappear into an endless abyss? Do they got to a final resting place to lay forever? Do they get to look down proudly upon the world from the clouds or look up in regret as they are burned and tortured? One man… person found out the hard way as he fell into a dark abyss after having surely died only to found himself awake again with most of his memories and knowledge blocked of as he was reincarnated into a 10ft cube as a small glowing sky blue orb…. This is my first actual foray to the world of webnovels as I’ve never wrote any stories before… *cough cough * edgy horny filled teenage fanfics do not count whatsoever *cough cough*. I am very new to the world of novels and I am not a native English speaker so expect a lot of grammar mistakes. The story will update on weekends on Saturday or whenever I feel like uploading as I do not have much free time and this is only a novel I write to improve my writing skills. What can you expect from the story? - Dungeons? Of course, this is the main theme of the story. - Multiple leads? Yes, there will be multiple perspectives from many different characters with at least 4 main characters. - Gamelit? The world is ruled by a system… that does absolutely nothing other than a way to view your stats and progression. - Murder hole? No, the lead character has a challenging yet fair view on how dungeons should operate, don’t get me wrong as he will still kill people if they are evil, careless or overestimate their abilities but don’t expect too much death as I feel that most adventurers would be smart enough to know their abilities especially when they have to do it themselves instead on relying on skills or the system. - Cultivation? No, the ability to gain power from sitting still and breathing never made any sense to me and it will be completely broken if the MC gets their hands on it so… no. - Non-human MC? Yes, they are a dungeon after all and yes, dungeons do get avatars but it is a specialized procedure that many choose not to do. Also, if the dungeon gets an avatar, no he will not be some wish giving demigod or whatever. - Magic? Yes, but it is very limited and down to the ground... from my notes... which means nothing - Art? Yes, I’m a hobbyist-artists so expect some art sketches here and there… I am poor so I do not have line art pens or tablets or adobe photoshop… also no scanners so… pictures of pencil-sketches it is, no coloring though since I am terrible at coloring. - Comedy? Yes, if you can call my bad attempts at humor comedy. - Likeable characters? Hopefully… especially since I accidentally made like... 60 characters … how I made 6 originals into 60?… I have no idea whatsoever… - Adventurers/invaders/delvers/etc…? Yes! My favorite part about dungeon core novels are when delvers delve into the dungeon and reading how they react, I will definitely flesh out the delvers and show how they operate more than usual hopefully. Hopefully you like the story, I will not have a patreon or paypal or whatever mostly because I’m under 18, thanks for at least reading this far and I hope that my writing is at least passable and you enjoy the story… if not then at least I got some writing practice in English.
