Chapter 11 Ratting
I ask Elizabeth and Chandrelle to tell me who might fit these descriptions.
“~Hmm, I guess we have two possible choices, Onii-chan~~” says Elizabeth.
“Hitora… I’m going to go with… um, Pryrder, that guy perfectly fits the category.”
As she said Pryrder, you could see an immense hatred gleam from her blue eyes.
♦ ♦ ♦
His palace was huge. It was made of very expensive materials. He was one of the noble families that had accumulated a lot of wealth. They owned millions worth of land and riches. If they wanted to they could have bought an entire country.
They also had many pacts with the Nyrist Rune, thus they had acquired lots of power. This house belonged to Pryder.
Pryder was only about 15. He was snobby little shit that was lazy as hell. And pretty much spent all of his money, given to him by his parents, on alcoholic beverages, women, and artillery.
Me, Chandrelle and Elizabeth were observing him from afar.
From about an hour of observatory, we probably picked about a thousand things we could black mail him with. The only reason people didn’t do these things was, because he could easily send some of his extremely powerful soldiers to kill you.
Out of all the noble families. This family was at the top of the hierarchy.
“~it’s no doubt that it’s this guy…”
“Yes Onii-chan! Well what do we do now?”
If I blow up his house, he’ll probably move, right? Or will he kill me? I can’t use the government to move him. So I Guess I’ll have to do a bet with him.
After all, rich guys like that stuff.
♦ ♦ ♦ I stood face to face to him.
“How about we fight? Winner gets your palace.”

“Huh? Why’d I fight you, your just lucky enough to become a noble?”
Chandrelle, presses her large and soft breast on me, and presses her soft lips on mine. He tongue seeps inside of me, and she pulls out.
What the hell? Why she doing this now. She blushes, and smiles.
Pryder looks at me with furious and jealous eyes. Ah, I see, she did this in order to anger Pryder.
“Hmm… Pryder, I get to do this stuff with her and Elizabeth all the time!”
“What!?”
“Yeah…”
“I love my ~Onii-chan!”
“What the hell!!??? What, why don’t you like me, I’m so rich and stuff and powerful too!”
“~Onii-Chan’s the most powerful! Better than you, you’re just a lazy ass that lives off his parents!”
He looked, very angry. Almost to a point that he’d want to kill me.
[Move left]
I guess I anticipated his attacks or something. A dark purple orb runs past me at the speed of light. I pull my rifle, and shoot a bullet in his face.
It pierces through his head, I immediately duck as his release another strike and thrust my Kinslayer through his chest, and spin it around. I dice him up until he’s nothing but small pieces of meat on the ground.
No doubt that he’d revive himself. It’ll take a day or so.
♦ ♦ ♦
I locked him up in a chamber, made of silent stone. So when he wakes up, his power is nothing, thus his status of noble is nothing anymore.
This may seem cruel but he’s only going to be there for a few days. Before I send him back to his father.
I have done the necessary precautions. Elizabeth called me outside, in the nearby forest. I walked there with Chandrelle.

We finally arrive there. The forest, I must say it is quite peaceful. The birds were chirping, and the animals were very cute.
Chandrelle attracted lots of creatures on the way. I guess she is very princess like. But thanks to me, she’s turning into a slut.
A bullet soars through the air and shoots me through the chest before I have time to react. Another one hits Chandrelle. It happens before I have time to react.
This time I can’t heal myself. I try to summon my weapons but nothing happens.
Than the world fades away…
[Finish]
Where am I? It’s a chamber of some sort. It’s reasonably dark.
“Uhm~”
Oh that voice, it’s Chandrelle. It takes a while for me to register the previous events. I guess I have been caught by the Worshippers of Ravana Cult.
A figure entered. It was Elizabeth, she carried a great blade. She laughed hysterically.
“You were such a nuisance for my plan. Either way, you’ll be dead soon. I’ll savour killing you – she licked her lips, it seems as if she was going to enjoy this – I’ll make this a long death…”
A sudden jolt of pain struck me. Chandrelle and I screamed in pain.
♦ ♦ ♦
Again and again the pain assumed. I couldn’t use my powers. I was nothing. I was in a pool of my own blood.
Her laugh haunts me. I was here, betrayed, weak, nothing. I tried to attack her, but I could barely move, each time I talked, only blood came out.
Another Jolt of pain, this time, it was so great that I had to vomit.
My consciousness fades away.
♦ ♦ ♦
“You’re useless, hopeless, look at you…”
I was in a white room. Constrained to a chair. A girl, it seemed, she was nothing but a black figure.
“Even with all the knowledge you received, you failed. How slothful.” Her eyes appeared. They were psychotic eyes.
I will kill her. I WILL KILL HER.
I struggled to move out of the chair.
“Help me…”
It was Chandrelle. Or rather she was in jumbled into pieces. Her legs were broken, her head was twisted so that it was facing her back. Her spinal cord was half ripped out.
What, am I seeing?!
She stared at me, she had no eyes. They were ripped out, I could only see her pockets.
“You’re a monster!?”
Hitora had a horrified expression on his face.
“Look who’s talking…”
♦ ♦ ♦
I woke up to see nothing but rubbles. Dirt and dust was amidst the millions of dead bodies. I carried Chandrelle. Tears ran down my face.
I looked at her. She was exactly like in that dream.
Why…
That bitch. I clenched my fist.
My body moved on its own, killing more of the cloaked figures.
Where is she?
Another cloaked man approaches, I punch him, but the shear strength of my arm, allows me to create a hole in his head.

Apex Predator
Earth is a fairly small place, but it's all Bath has. It's the only home he's ever known for all of his 500-or-so-million years of life. One day, Bath realized his treasured Earth was being drawn into the next mass extinction ahead of schedule. So, fascinated by the humans and their quick rise to power (after all, setting off a mass extinction is a pretty sizable achievement), what's a nearly all-powerful, somewhat bored, morally ambiguous, savagely violent, shapeshifting alien entity to do other than assume the form of a human and do some front-line investigating? Little did Bath know he would soon stumble upon a mysterious human organization with a gate leading to planets eons away. And that's just the beginning... A story with aliens, intergalactic space travel, mind powers, and an abundance of adventure! Author's note: ON HIATUS! Hello and thank you for reading! Constructive criticism and grammar-policing are both appreciated. Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are complete at 1271 pages! Part 7 is in progress! If you've ever read any other web serials, you might've noticed that authors get better with time (that is, their art or writing improves). Wutosama of Metaworld Chronicles noted that the first 20 chaps are always a mess. This is also the case with Apex Predator. The first two parts (ranging just under 30 chapters, or 161 pages) are absolutely subpar. While I have edited them as of 7-10-18, they require a rewrite, which is currently in the works but not complete. For a sample that gives insight into what the latter ~80% of the story's writing style is like, check out chapter 56. Vote for Apex Predator on Top Web Fiction! The Apex Predator Discord is here. Cover: original work done by me, the author, caerulex.

The God Complex
Alon wishes to be remembered—to stamp his existence on this cruel world, to engrave the fact that "he was here" into the very Earth. This is his sole purpose; To be important. For what greater reason is there to exist if not to be remembered? People are special. People aren’t... Your actions in this life define how those left behind remember you. Once you die, you’re reborn and live on, if only for a time; The grander the actions in this life, the longer your second one becomes. Alon knows this better than anyone, and he will live in the minds and hearts of everyone in Krestelen longer than anyone that has come before. Krestelen is a place long forgotten by those outside its walls; known by most as the Cursed City of The Dead, with the Lower Tier of the City being abandoned by the Upper Tiers after an inexplicable Fog blanketed the entire sector thirty-four years ago. This Fog adds those unfortunate enough to be caught within it into the legions of Vacant roaming the empty streets of the city: A creature that has seemingly lost all reasoning and sanity, to wander around the streets crying into the palms of their hands as they beg for help, to be freed from their condition. This is the place that Alon, and the Gang led by his mentor Casian, shall steal the very source of what gives those in power—the rightfully ruling family, the Deramore's—their ability to live in luxury as those below in the Lower Tier struggles to survive. They will forever be cast into the annals of the history of this cursed place—for better, or for worse.
