Stepping away from all the horrors I see.
I suddenly hit a wall.
I can no longer step back.
That's when I suddenly hear it.
Hear their screams of pain and anguish.
I could even hear the burning knights shouts.
Quivering down and unconsciously my hands moved to cover my ear.
Yet i can still hear his screams.
His plead to stop all of this.
His shouts towards me to run.
His screams of mercy.
Until all I hear is his sobs
Looking up I was no longer in the corner of the village and I was in the middle of all the chaos.
Sitting on top of a small mound.
Looking back, there was a hole on where I was before.
Demon Joe just smiled and said.
"Hello there. It's good to have you join us here Dearie. Why don't you have something to eat?"
As he pointed out to the villagers in the cage.
The villagers in the cage where oddly quiet but after a glance a can't force myself to look back.
They where quiet because they where eating something.
No. Not something. They where eating someone.
Noticing my reaction.
Demon joe swung his wand.
A unbearable force acted upon me.
Turning my head towards the cage.
And seeing someone close to me.
Someone who was family.
I could help but whimper in sadness and tears rolled off at what I saw.
No matter what I do. It seems I can't look away.
There alongside the villagers was my brother mark.
The worse of it was what they where eating.
Her long silver hair now clotted with blood.
Her vivid green eyes, Now hollow.
Her usually cheerfull visage now sickly pale.
By then I could help but full on cry my heart out in pain.
As Demon Joe suddenly slapped me feeling annoyed of my tears.

My own cheeks burning from the impact.
He brought his wand down near me and said.
"What a lovely lady did you know she went back to look for her lovely daughter and met her demise. Do you want to hear her last words?."
He smiled wickedly swing Sam breakdown.
She could not nod nor plead no as she try to stiffle her cry and whimpers.
But hearing her own mothers last words broke her heart.
Sam could clearly hear her mom's voice saying.
"Its all your fault. If you just listened. He wouldn't die. If you just listened. non of this would had happened. Why didn't you just listened?"
Joe could help but howl in laughter at the seen unfolding in front of him.
Feeling the force around Sam weakened.
She slowly forced herself to crawl towards the cage.
Slowly Joe can vividly see the little girl slowly breaking along the way.
Looking at her mom Sam shouted and even pleaded.
"Ill listen mom, please wake up." she pleaded.
"Mom just wake up please. ill do what I am told to do."
"Please Mom just don't leave us. I promise I'll listen."
As sam crawled close enough to see her.
"Please wake up. I promise to listen. Just wake up."
There she was laying unmoving, her lifeless eyes staring at sam.
She heard a crack and everything started to fade out.
Yet she still pleaded.
"I promise I'll listen."
"Wake up Ill listen."
Like a broken record repeating the same two sentences.
"I promise I'll listen. Just wake up."
Just as before she blacked out, she hears her mothers last whisper saying.
"It's too late. You should have died."

I also have a system and got a glitch and was able to add as many points as I wanted whenever I wanted. BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

Mary Susan Oceanrunner and the Brutus Saint's Academy
Join Mary Susan Oceanrunner on her quest to do... erm... something really important for the world... probably... Ahem. Long gone are the days when every hero could do whatever they wanted - now, we are civilised. We have government. Law. And proper forms. Lots of proper forms. (Final episode 25/07/2022. Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
