The cat was a master of a style of Cultivation. It was way handier than actual Qi Cultivation and it was a path relatively easy to master.

But frankly, its Qi Cultivation technique is basically the most standard one gone completely wrong... Even if you master it, there's nothing that great you can do compared to actually having a core.

First of all, the cat can gather Qi via meditation and quickly mold it into something like a core. However unlike standard Qi cores, it doesn't gather Qi from the air.

Yes, its ability is to create pseudo cores that just function as Qi banks. And the worst part is since the cores are too integrated with its body, it can't do anything but normalize the body. It could be used mid-combat for instant healing but it would take 10 cores for it to do work and with a tiny cat's body, you could only store 15 before meditating again.

Consuming a core won't do anything besides closing scratches but over trial and error from the cat's previous life, it knew resonance patterns with different kinds of cores.

It meditated masterfully as it gathered up the Qi in the air like a sponge and in five minutes, it had made five pseudo cores. Fire, water, earth and two wood cores.

It then consumed all of them and its hunger was gone like the wind. It was its Natural Bounty Release of its numerous Qi Release Combos.

Or at least that's what it thought it was doing. In reality, what it actually absorbs was a totally different kind of energy unknown to everyone else...
