Every 2 years theres a tournament normally isn't a priority for me they'd never let me win at least not easily. normally there was always at least a minor wind type grimoire as it is one of the more commen and versatile affinities in the 2 tournaments since my fathers mana afinity became known. but in 6 months the tournamet will have a special prize a neutral metal mana manipulation grimoire meaning if you can use mana you can use it. but this year they will use soul crystal grimoires once activated you learn all of the knowedge in the Crystal so even if you don't have the affinty you are instantly regarded as as a official scholar of the of that magic.

Why you ask is this tournament special it's because of the revival of the Demon lord. In a year and a half the heros will be summoned to defeat him and they need allies powerful allies that can move without attracting the attention of the demon army and spies. I think because it's easier to send a kid on a suicide mission especially if he thinks he can save the world.

Ded had a good point about not selling the blades publicly otherwise they would be used against me. But i need the money for materials i got a few ideas for armor, and a proper blade, and shield, and a few tricks i learned from the adventurers, And most importantly mana stones.

Father once told said we are not the decendents of heroes, or generals but soldiers and craftsmen. We never stepped on the backs of our allies to raise ourselves but earned everything we had with our hands and owned no one any debt. Thats why i liked Ded's idea to sell the blades to the captain of the guard. Leon the kindest person to me in the village besides Ded. His kindness was that he did his job fairly and properly. Plus the added benefit that i won't have to fight someone using my blades that would be embarrassing to lose that fight.

I'll make 10 of the continuous use swords i'll call them "Cloak" swords it sounds better. And 10 of the mana blade lengthening daggers i'll call these "Mana edge" for short. I'll have to go when they get paid the Captain leon he can take part of there pay if he deems it nessary for the safety of the fort. It should be enough to pay for all the blades, and they'll get the rest of their pay just 3 days late. I need to get paid all at once otherwise the town leaders would probaly "donate" my weapons to the town. Plus i can probaly count on captain Leon to stay silent about me. Tommorrow i'm trying out my last test blade.
