《Abominable King》Chapter 209: Return of the (Abominable) King (IX)

Alexis exited the totally not a Hyperbolic Time Chamber alongside Zalga, the latter of which made her way back to her nation and began the process of pushing her people to become stronger. Alexis, on the other hand, was more interested in seeing exactly how the war had ended and was about to see to that desire when she felt the tell-tale sensation of someone she cared for nearby.
“Ye~~~~~~s!” she half moaned, and half yelled, an act that caused no small amount of confusion in the numerous people who were nearby the Dungeon egress point she had emerged from. This confusion was short-lived, of course, as Alexis continued to speak. “Finally, my beloved is back and ready for action!” At this, those who were somehow unaware that Kain had returned, either due to refusal to deal with news or because they just were completely oblivious to things, felt like celebrating, but they would have to do so without the Crimson Empress around to see it.
A simple Wind Magic spell was brought up to allow Alexis to fly at Mach speeds without causing damages, and with that done the Vampiric Primogenitor was on her way as fast as she could go. She could tell exactly where her beloved husband was and flew at speeds that she would previously have been incapable of in order to reach the object of her heart’s desire. She personally wasn’t interested in having more children, but after being unable to stay with the father of her children for so long she felt she was entitled to a bit of bedtime fun.
…
Kain stood up from the throne and began to make his way to a balcony. More specifically, he was making his way to a balcony connected directly to the private bedchambers that he and Alexis had long since claimed as their own. There was no real particular reason for this transition, aside from the fact that Kain wanted a change of scenery and something else to do other than sitting on his butt for hours each day.

He had spent more than a few months… possibly even years on his ass in that flying city, and now he was essentially required to do the same damn thing but with some small breaks for sleep and relaxation. When he finally made it to one of the balconies in the private, royal chambers, he used his arms to support his body as he leaned over the edge and looked out towards the sprawling metropolis that was the city of Necrograd.
He had to admit, he and everyone else had come a hell of a long way. When he first returned to this place, it was all but rubble and ruins, controlled by a nameless idiot vampire and staffed with mind-controlled thralls. Now, however? The sight could not be more different; towering buildings, excellent infrastructure, plentiful food and clean water, jobs for everyone, and support for those who could not work.
Undead bodies did so much of the work that most of the people in Darksol could avoid having to do anything beyond what their internal passions desired them to do. Ironically, automation may have ended countless employment opportunities, but with proper management of where the money went, people could live far better lives than they would have normally. Darksol was not a nation of workers and employers, but instead, it was a nation of dreamers, artists, authors, musicians, and more with the undead pulling so much weight that everyone and their dog could afford to live in ease and comfort.
He really had to hand it to himself, he did an amazing job getting here. He was about to turn in for a quick nap when he felt a surge of power. Two entities whose power was now significantly greater than what had once been appeared from the Dungeon in two separate places. One made its way out to the Ocean and the other…

Kain didn’t need to have a second chance to guess who was emitting the second signature, but he did feel the mana signature drop significantly before moving towards his position at a speed that would have normally been impossible for its bearer. Kain figured he had about three or four minutes at the latest before Alexis arrived on the scene, and if Kain knew her like he thought he did he knew exactly what the first order of business would be.
Kain walked back into the bedroom and took off his clothes before laying down in bed. It was, to him, highly likely that the immediate future was going a couple of very passionate hours.
…
Alexis touched down on the balcony outside the royal bedchambers, going from her previous insane speed to roughly 0.00 miles/ kilometers per hour in less than a hundredth of a second. She could feel the heat rising inside of her and the fact that Kain was apparently in bed already only caused the fire inside her body to increase in intensity and scale. Her clothes melted away into mists as she pulled them into her magical inventory of a hammer-space, leaving her whiter-than-snow skin to be seen by any who looked upon her.
She approached the bed and pulled back the curtain that surrounded it. As she did, she saw her husband lying on his side with his head held up by a single bent arm.
“Hello there, dearest.” Kain said nonchalantly.
Alexis rushed him and the two began to engage in what was the nightly norm up until a few years ago, but Kain had to get a few extra words in before his wife descended fully into her predatory lust.
“It’s been a while, so let’s turn up the heat a few notches.”
Alexis’s nails began to dig into Kain’s body as her teeth transformed from human-like ones into larger, serrated, and more steak knife-like ones. A lustful sigh escaped from her open mouth as she made sure that her husband knew exactly how much she was going to do with him.
“I’m going to make Elileth Carmilla look like a chaste little virgin by the time I’m through with you.”
Kain gulped audibly, knowing full-well what that kind of boast meant, which was all the cue that Alexis needed to start the fun.

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.
