《Lost In the Void. (Monster Evolution LitRpg)》Chapter 4. Learning about things

Something jumped out of the top of the trees, It was a creature that who's whole body was as black as the leaves making it easier to blend into the treetops. Being 2ft (0.61 m) tall, Its face had no mouth, only eyes which were a dull gray. It was hard to see, but small pointed ears stuck out of it head. Long arms and legs that ended in claws. With the tail hiding behind it that featured a mouth on the very end of it. Every part of the thing looked like it could kill me with ease. Something inside my gut churned as it approached and only got stronger the closer it was to me. The instincts in my body told me that I was about to die.
“Whats ya looking at newborn never seena monster as scary-looking az me.” It said. The sound this creature made, sounded like a small puppy yapping for food.
I backed up trying to keep it in my line of sight while moving away from it.
“Looksy me can notes kills ya here. This Holy safe place. No fights here. Mother no allow heres. Red water safe place. No fights. Only if leaves past treesy or out sight sight of waters. ” It said. While moving to the water past me.
That was weird it was talking not from its face, but from the tail as it talked to me. Its tone changing every once in a while going from higher pitched to deeper.
“Plus you nos give much from killings you. ” It said. Now not even paying any attention to me at all. It just stuck its tail into the water and drank?
Copying its movements I moved to the edge of the water while keeping an eye on it. Putting my hands into the water I cupped some up to my lips to drink as my mouth and throat felt as if fire washed through me and then an ice-cold chill hit me. The water tasted good, and my mind felt clearer after consuming the red liquid. “That was good.” I said. What I thought that I wouldn't be able to speak.

Nice guess that's why I could understand that thing when it was talking to me. But I need to be careful around it because I don't know if it was lying to me or telling the truth, but I will find out in due time.

It continued to ignore me as it gouged its self on the water, while lazing around on the shore of the pond. It might be telling the truth seeing of how relaxed it is right now and not worried that something might come and try to kill it.
Time passed as only seconds were left on the timer. 5 4 3 2 1 0. It was time for me to see my stats.

Changing body and mind based on new-found status.

More pain hit me as my body and mind were forceable changed to fit my status. My body broke apart and fixed itself. My mind didn't hurt as much as my body did, though it did expand.
“Stupid childs not no when use water. ” It said. Picking up my writhing body and tossing it into the red water.
As my body hits the pond all the pain all but disappeared from me. Releasing pain from this already tortured form of mine. Relief as the chilly water helped speed up and dull the pain. “Why did you help me?” I asked.
“Holy place. No sufferings. Mother no likesy pain heres.” It said. Looking at me as if I was an idiot that didn't know what was basic knowledge for everyone to know. “Ya dumbs dumbs. Why you no know dis. Broad no goods.” It said.
“I was just given life again by the mother, so I don't know what the rules are. Plus I didn't know that it would hurt again like that when my status was unlocked.” I answered. It only looked at me like I was crazy. So I told it what she did for me. “She saved my soul from being destroyed and created a new monster breed in the process.” I said. Then the look in its eyes changed.
“Fun fun times. When ya leaves thats way.” It said. Pointing to the area away from the mountain “Weakers monmons that ways. But ways mores.”It said. After saying all of this to me, it walked away from me and back to the area it was previously.
“Thanks I guess.” I said to it. Still ignoring me again. So laying there back in the water I tried to bring up my status.

Is this good I have no idea at all. What is this free point's thing under my stats score. Thinking about it a prompt appeared in my vision.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Free points can be placed into an individual stat to increase its value. Just think of which stat to increase and then think of the amount that you wish to place into there, and it will be done.
You can only gain free points from leveling up and there is a finite amount of them so spend them wisely.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Oh! Thats a nice to know. Looking over my stats I saw something that needed to change and that was my AGI with only 3 points into it. One of my lowest stats just being one point ahead of CHS. I'm just guessing but that most mean I am pretty slow. So looking over it again I put 2 free points into AGI bringing that up to 5. This made my muscles tenses up constricting and loosening over and over again. No pain hit me this time as I laid there in the water as my body changed once again.
After a while everything finished changing within my body. I felt leaner and stronger than I was before. Looking towards the direction of where the other monster pointed. I looked back towards where it was only to see it heading to the mountain area. ' I was going to thank it again before it left but never mind then.' I thought to myself. Looking at it's back something appeared in my vision once again.
Void Warped Child LV 10 Tier 2. Well guess thats what it is. Probably just call it V or something like that if I ever see it again.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I spent another hour at the pond trying to memorize the surrounding area, so I can always return here when I need to. During that time more monster can from every direction around the pond. Only those that came from the mountain area even bothered looking at me seeming to try to understand what I was since it was the first time they had ever seen anything like me. But every one of them just ignored me after a few glances my way.
I did manage to get one of the flying monstrosities, a tier 2 to tell me about the land. The fucking thing was a piece of shit with an ego so big it needed The Mother to help carry it around. Even as angry as I was getting I did get some useful information out of the damn thing.
The mountain was to the north of the pond and to the south was the plains. So everything north and east of the pond her was where the tier 2 fought and killed each other. South and west was different tier 1 fought and killed there and once one became a tier 2 they came back here and laid in the pond to complete the evolution then left towards the mountain area after some rest. Some kind of monster coming of age or something like that. But once a tier 2 hits the level cap they are to come back here and swim to the middle of the pond for a portal to open and send it to a new place in the Void where it can further grow stronger.
It was some good information, but I almost broke the no fight rule here because of that just to straggle it. It was a Foulbeak Pest Lv2 tier 2. When the time comes I will kill that flying rat.
The other monsters that were able to talk were pretty chill around the pond some were jerks, but most just lazed around talking about the hunts they have had. They were fine to talk too. The only one that really pissed me off was the rat thing that flew. I was not the only one that thought that too many of the others were having a hard time holding back from trying to kill that annoying rat.
But one thing was for certain if anyone of us met outside the area of the pond. We would kill the others without remorse. This was the only safe place inside the Void that we knew of. But I also learned that if anything invaded the Void Every monster in that area would swarm it until it was dead even if it was in a place like this.
I learned everything I could for any type of advantage that would give me in the journey to the south plains. There wasn't a lot that was said except for stay out of the breeding nest where eggs were. It was very dangerous for anything to survive the horde type enimies that crawled on the ground making them come out from there burrows to hunt the trespassers. I wouldn't get anything else out of the monsters besides only some basic things that were common knowledge.
Wanting to leave I waited for the other Void monsters to go back to their areas where they came from and waited a while longer till I felt it safe enough to leave. After enough time passed I made my way towards the South-west far away from where the tier 2 lived and hunted at. My entire body shivered with joy as something primal from the depths of my very being was roused. I entered the treeline with the biggest grin plastered on my face.
