《Lord of cauldrons》Chapter 11: A pitiful exchange

For someone who looked half a step into his grave, the man was very spry. He jumped back into his array feeling the killing intent rolling of this new intruder, sounds of rapid cracking and snapping as his body shifted to take on the features of multiple monsters. He quickly turned into an amalgamation and looked downright hideous. The intruder simply stood there waiting. The eternal lamps around the room were flickering heavily because of the essence density running havoc on the gathering runes, giving an eerie feeling as the two monsters stared each other down.
Hope for her part now looked more draconian than human and a low growl emanated from her throat.
"Who arrre you?" the man's voice came out gravely and hoarse certain letters dragging out due to all the new aspects that existed together trying to fight for dominance.
"Don't remember me?" Hope growled back taking a menacing step forward.
The monster did not reply taking the initiative to move. He moved fast, so fast that in a blink he covered the 20 or so feet from his target and thrust his arms out like a spear with so much force that the air around the appendage quaked.
Only, he felt no contact, not only that he could not feel his arm at all. It took a moment for his brain to process the pain from what just happened.
"Arggh!" the man jumped back grabbing the stump attached to his shoulder unable to comprehend what just happened. His left hand was just gone from elbow down. He looked at the intruder and saw that the rest of his right arm was held in those thin arms that looked as fragile as glass coated in a sheet of glasslike scales. She brought the arm up to her mouth and bit into the flesh before spitting it out in what he thought was disgust.

"That was disgusting. I thought you would be tastier. Oh well, I guess I have to settle for your life." said the monster in her rather feminine voice.
"I do-rrgh not rememberrgh angerring any mmythicc monsssterrr." he said his vocal cords struggling to get the words out from his shift as his arm was visibly getting repaired. He did not what this monster was and why he could not sense the monster's essence. But his foundation level strength rivaled even those at qi condensation all he needed was a moment to prepare his essence in one massive attack. This monster was clearly very arrogant and that was to his benefit.
"Do not compare me to the ants that populate this realm!" she shouted her voice coming out as a roar of challenge as an intense wave of essence washed off her. To match her, multiple monster essences washed off him and a huge amount of essence gathered in his newly forming arm.
What the man did not realize was that all he could sense from the monster he was facing was only the trace amounts that all beings give off by merely existing. Her true essence was being dispersed rapidly by this realm which made her a pseudo-god as essence was the smallest building block of reality and right now the whole realm was dyed in hers.
She merely stood there glaring at the man as he shouted.
"Bestial Annihilation!!!"
Behind him echoes of every beast he ever consumed started to appear one after the other as he shot at the intruder. The power was so great that the leap destroyed the giant section of the treasure pavilion which was designed to withstand even Qi condensation attacks. He moved many times faster than sound and there were sonic booms generated as he moved the 30 or so feet

He slammed into the monster with the power to shake even mountains only to have his entire momentum stopped immediately as he collided. All that power could not go forward so instead rebounded back into him killing him instantly.
This man had enough history to have entire libraries written on him and now just died in a very pitiful manner by his hand. His body was pulped into mush as the soul no longer strengthened his old bones.
"Haha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed the monster hysterically at the unfolding of events.
"That is it? That was all you could muster? HAHAHAHA! I gave you chance after that pitiful first exchange, and you kill yourself with it. This realm is so pitiful my mate needs to leave this world quickly otherwise his sensibilities will become even more warped because of your insects."
She held her sides as she sensed more ants converging on her position. She would have annihilated all of them but she sensed another power coming here, one which even she could not match. A growl escaped her at that admittance but she was too smart to challenge something the heavens decreed as the 'god' of this realm. She grabbed the mush and everything else in her immediate vicinity as her desire for treasure started to kick in. She thought 'Bring me home' and as the 'god' approached she simply vanished.
One might think the exchange between her and the old man was long but in reality, the whole exchange was less than a minute and with her departure from this realm her stifling hold on this realm also vanished and with it, the 'god' could unleash her true strength and blink into existence at the sight of the anomaly that frankly fucked up this world in ways even she the actual realm lord could not even begin to comprehend.
But in all this chaos there was one blessing in disguise that every future generation would thank her for but that was a story for another time. For now, the world gave out a held breath as the eye closed its eyes and the world became normal once more. Now it was time for the immediate consequences for what she had done and what she had become if there was enough of her original self left to even realize her errors.
