《Lord of cauldrons》Chapter 5: A hot teacher
Advertisement
It has a close to 10 months since the two sisters came into the care of Lord Simon. During that time they underwent a brilliant transformation. Both of them turned from gaunt bony zombies to bright and beautiful women. Muscle and fat filled their form out and through the blessing of an expert alchemist, many of their stunted growth born from a lack of nutrition and care were fixed. Their sagging chest now filled out and overflowed any clothes they wore. Their hips tapered out giving them an hourglass figure combined with their large derrière and exotic hair and eyes, they now turned heads wherever they went.
Physically they now looked like beautiful women their age and in perfect health. The other thing that surprised the young master was that they were both of them were 22 a year older than him. They also gained a lot of height to they now came up to the chin of his massive six and a half feet form.
The only thing that he had yet to fix was that due to their cruel upbringing the sisters were mentally very underdeveloped. The only thing about their mentality that was not stunted was their sexuality. But he attributed that to Bai Qing who did not care there were two females with the mental stage in their house, she needed to 'cultivate' daily for her 'training' which was technically true but the truth of the matter was that the girl was just eternally horny.
Both Hope and Phe were very sexually curious and there were many times he almost gave in to their advances but he could not allow them to make an uninformed decision, There was no way to undo that decision and he had to make sure they knew and understood all the consequences so that they did not regret their decision in the future. So he had the brilliant idea to use one of the many unused rooms to teach them the in and outs of cultivation. Bai Qing was a part of the sect for a while before Simon met her, something he now appreciates quite a bit.
What he did not expect was becoming a full-time teacher for most of the inner disciples and some of the elders of the sect. It was shocking how little people knew about some general aspects and when he ever taught a subject half the inner core of the sect seemed to be present in the room. It all started with the close to a stalker Junli which escalated to many of the inner disciples and now even the elders joined in. The only reason he even allowed this was that he could not honestly go against the elders and so many inner disciples and it helped Phe and Hope to get more used to being close to other cultivators. Before this, they were only playful inside the hut and stuck to him like glue whenever he took them out. Now though they were confident enough to play out. All the cultivators left them alone because they were technically his property and the young master was one of the treasures of the sect.

Today was a topic that seemed one of the hotter ones he taught and there were more 'students' than usual. Mostly his 'classroom' is filled with feminine forms but today there were many masculine ones as well.
"Now everyone never knows of major breakthroughs correct."
There were some nods in the rather large crowd stuck in this relatively small room. There was a time he felt nervous speaking to such a large crowd but after doing this for months he got into a groove which made this well not enjoyable bit more bearable.
"What is the most permanent benefit you get from a major breakthrough?"
Dozens of hands were raised and even some of the elders had their hands raised. He could not, however, choose one of them. They were very likely to be wrong and he did not want to hurt the honor of an elder, that was just asking for trouble. Simon asked Ding Zhao who was third on the power rankings for our sect which meant asking him would give the elders lose no 'face' as to why they were not chosen and not have to correct them.
"More lifespan, the purpose of cultivation is to pursue immortality so to lengthen one's life is surely the most permanent benefit," he said. Sure enough, the answer was wrong, the fact he did not say the generic answer was proof enough that he expected a curve ball and many of the present elders slowly nodded their heads.
"That was a nice answer but no. That is not true lifespan is actually one of the more expendable resources till a cultivator hits transcendent. Other than the fact that we spend it just by living many cultivators use it as a resource to improve."
Knowing the young master was about to start his monologue every eye was focused on him. Sadly the two for whom he made this class originally showed the least interest. He would have ended these classes long ago if not for all these extra faces.
"No, the most permanent benefit we gain is the Soul Destiny when we make every breakthrough."
At that answer other than Bai who had already heard this and Junli who actively practiced getting good soul destinies as a mantra everybody showed a confused.
"Pfft, that can't be true, soul destinies are just a small bonus you get when you break through like how hitting the foundation realm strengthens your internal organs along with your muscles and bones," argued Zhao, everybody else was quiet mostly because the young man usually had a long comprehensive explanation to go with his statements. That was probably a big reason why Hope and Phe who were more active physically than mentally found it hard to concentrate. But they would not dare say this, not because they feared their lord. No, but seeing their master with his heaven-defying handsomeness in a teacher's outfit was something many of the women here orgasmed to and they were no exception. He was too lost in his scholarly pursuits to realize how every woman swooned to his every word and gesture such was his magnetic aura.

"Before I break that misconception, that small bonus you are talking about, does that scale with your cultivation base?" The super hot teacher asked.
"Yes..." answered Zhao.
"All those manuals you have equipped that you spent all those resources and time on, will they stay relevant as you go up in realms?"
"No..."
"Can you refine and cultivate a soul destiny before it forms?"
"Yes..."
"Once it forms do you have to do anything to strengthen it or does it get stronger by itself?"
"By itself... Okay I get it it stays useful regardless of how late I am in cultivation level but it does not change the fact that the bonus is quite minor."
"That is where you are wrong."
A blob of translucent energy floated on Simon's hand as he asked.
"What is this?"
"I think I realize where this going and this one sorry for acting like a frog in a well," he said as he stood up and bowed from his waist. Junli and Zhao were probably the only two members in this entire sect that admitted when they were wrong and was not toxic about it, unlike every other overly prideful idiot that existed in this shit show. That is why the inner sect disciple turned temp teacher believed those two surpass the realm limit and ascend past the lower realms to the middle realms to the upper realms and maybe to the heavenly realm itself.
The reason for his shift was that the teacher pretty much won the last realm tournament for the younger generation division using God's mist. Now though, there were gasps of surprise as people realized that it was a soul ability.
"This is this perpetuating myth that soul abilities only get relevant at later breakthroughs but that is not true." the teacher began his lengthy explanation.
What it boiled down to was that a soul ability can have from 1 to 10 functions and each function can be from common to uncommon to rare to epic to legendary to mythic. The catch was that at qi refining you can have only a maximum of one mythic function, at foundation two, and so on. At late levels of cultivation, only the mythic functions stay relevant but most cannot even form one mythic function at early levels of cultivation so slowly the practice of trying to get a mythic function in the lower realms died off because it was so rare. This was even though soul abilities had limitless potential. All it required was time spent trying to comprehend it, the more you formed a strong mental image the better it would form when you finally broke through. It required no super rare resource yet most could not be bothered to spend the time because the upgrade was not immediate and the progress was not tangible till the breakthrough finally happened. That lack of any trackable tangibility was why most did not bother especially at the early stages where the benefit was more limited. He added a lot more flowery words to make it more palatable but at the root was a very basic concept that did not mesh well with the culture of constant progression.
Upon the end of his lecture, every cultivator in the room other than Bai and Junli was in deep thought at the end of his lecture and he felt at least one breakthrough happen among the disciples. Even Zhao the hothead was deep in thought. The young master quietly took his girls and left before his 'students' came back to their senses and the post-lecture 'proposals' started.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

WISH MOUNTAIN
I could give you a typical synopsis that you'll gloss over...or I could tell you the essence of what the story will be. Still with me? Great! Let's get to it... WISH MOUNTAIN is inspired by fairy tales and, in a way, animated Disney movies. The biggest inspiration of them all is Beauty and the Beast. Why? Because I love it and hate it at the same time. The thing I hate about the movie is how the villain, Gaston, never got a chance for redemption. The movie was all about what is on the inside that counts, right? Beast went from bad-to-good because Belle learned to love and care about him. Was Gaston not worth that same chance for redemption? Sure he was a bad person, but so bad that he couldn't also undergo the same kind of change for the better? It was this question that got me thinking... what would Gaston's redemption look like? What kind of story would that be? From this nugget an entire epic story unfolded that has both outgrown, but has never forgotten, that original inspiration. So what can you expect? In essence: something like an epic, adult-orientated Disney story, which is gloves-off when it comes to violence and character trauma. I'll be doing my best to write a story that is as close to a classic adventure fairy tale with real stakes and meaningful characters as I can. The story begins with two orphans; Amaryllis and Chicory, who are whisked away to the magical WISH MOUNTAIN, and are faced with fending for themselves all alone. This is a HUGE story that will take YEARS for me to finish. If you're ready for a journey to Wish Mountain, then Once Upon a Time begins with Chapter 1...

In Another World with Doraemon's 4D Pocket
Cary found himself awoken in a foreign land with what he thought was a nondescript white pouch. Reaching into the white pouch, he was able to pull out an assortment of gadgets that he recognized to be from his favorite childhood show, Doraemon. With the thousands of mischievous, powerful gadgets inside the 4D pocket, Cary will take on this new world by storm! Something ridiculous I will write purely for fun alongside my main story Giantslayer As a disclaimer, I may nerf some of the most broken gadgets or even not use them at all. Doraemon was insane for a children manga (e.g. Doraemon canonically has a nuclear bomb inside his 4D pocket), some of the gadgets have the potential to end this story in one chapter. The most important factor is fun so anything that completely breaks the story might not be mentioned at all (or we will pretend they do not exist in the 4D pocket). We may find uses for those broken gadgets in the future, though. I am not particularly good at writing comedy. There will of course be funny moments (at least I hope they are funny) but everyone in this story will actually behave in a realistic(?) and serious manner. I want the serious world to contrast with some of the wacky gadgets that are available.
