《Worldview》Chapter 17, War of the Kings III

Before we even arrived at Ujiron's platform, I could see lifeless corpses that weren't there before with their heads disfigured. No no no.. I increased my pace and arrived at Ujiron Station and leapt into the air onto the platform. Fortunately, it appeared everyone was safe. Everyone was on the ground catching their breath, it seemed that they had just been into a fight. I then rushed over to Mia Becker.
"Mia! What happened here?"
Mia caught her breath for a second then wiped the blood stain off her cheek.
"Oh.. Aksel! When you guys left, another group ambushed us. Thankfully, they didn't take our flagpole and we had no casualties."
I rejoiced in my head. I'll have another flag and we'll be closer to our goal. I quickly spoke to Mia.
"That's great! Where's the flag?"
Mia frowned then spoke.
"That's the thing, they didn't have their representative with them."
Was it just some wanderers? What purpose would they have going for our station? Unless the representative sent their members to try and kill us first before safely heading there. I shook my head in disbelief. They should've scouted Ujiron first, they basically went on a suicide mission.
"Regardless, good job guys." I spoke. I filled them briefly on the new scenario I had just obtained. Concerned looks grew on their faces.
"Are we really powerful enough to take a station each day?"
I looked toward the member of the station who spoke out.
"I'll do everything in my power to take a station each day. I value my life and yours."
That little speech seemed to boost their morale. They all had enthusiastic expressions on their face. Unfortunately my words were a bit of a lie, I'll have nothing to do with them after the scenario ends.
"Oh Aksel! By the way, where's Atticus?"
I smirked and said.
"He's doing a little espionage mission for us."
After a couple of hours, we finally saw Atticus return, his clothing was torn and tattered. I waved to him, "Hey."
Atticus quickly stormed up to me but I wagged my finger sideways.
"I nearly got killed out there! I had to run all the way back here with them chasing me and without a route map!" He shouted, hands on his knees from using up all of his stamina.

"Save the whining, have you completed your mission at least?"
He nodded.
"Good, then that's all that matters. Tell me the details."
From Atticus' information, I concluded that our best choice of action was to go for Silverstone Station first then for Ironbark Court.
"There's also something else I heard... A rumour?" My ears pricked up at his words, surely it wasn't me this time.
"There's a king... Who reigns the Northbound Line. They call him the Astute King, he's already taken over 5 stations already."
My jaw dropped. 5 stations? It hasn't even been 48 hours but he's obtained 5 stations already? I needed to get a move on quick, or else I'd fail to meet the requirements for a king.
"Take us to Silverstone right now."
I gave a quick farewell to Mia Becker and spoke. "You're doing really good Mia, just make sure to keep Sawyer in check." I looked down at him and saw his stubborn look, he's really piped down ever since I've become king. As I was about to leave, I felt a tug on my leg. I looked down and saw the little boy hugging my leg.
"Take me with you, Aksel."
I looked at Mia and she nodded in reassurance, I knew this boy was pretty strong so it wasn't a mistake to take him along. We quickly left and headed to Silverstone.
We cleared Silverstone Station quickly with ease. It seems that the majority of station already killed themselves in the representative elections, that allowed us to take the station with no problem at all.
[The Constellation 'Victorious Lion Heart' congratulates your victory!]
[You have captured Silverstone Station.]
[Currently Occupied: Ujiron (Main Base), Upnor Station, Silverstone Station.]
[The achievement points of the red flag are rising.]
After obtaining Silverstone's flagpole, I retracted my flag and we moved quickly for Ironbark Court and that's when Leo Collins spoke.
"Aksel.. I think I need a moment..."
"Me too..." Said the little boy.
Already? We've only captured two stations. Suddenly everybody around me dropped to the ground. I quickly unsheathed my blade and leapt back.
"Who's there?" I shouted out. The reply came belatedly.
"You should've been more careful." A man emerged from the shadows with a group of 6 men.

"And don't worry, your friends aren't dead. They're just in a state of sleep right now, but they will be dead if you don't hand over that flag."
The figure grinned and the members behind him got ready with their weapons.
"Wait, at least tell me what Station you're from?"
"What good will that do if Ujiron is under me?"
He knew my station already, how so? I frowned, information sure moved quickly in this scenario. A member lashed out at me with his sturdy axe and I parried. He retracted his axe and went for the swing but I quickly dashed forward, ducked and sliced off the arm wielding the axe. I moved forward quickly again and appeared in front of another. He reacted absurdly fast and attempted to swing his sword to cut off my head but I moved even quicker and swung my knife and removed his vocal cords in an instant.
"That's as far as you go." It was the figure that spoke before. He had picked up the little boy and had a dagger at his neck. How did he get behind me?
"That's disappointing, I hoped that they would've had you killed already. My spy has told me you are quite troublesome."
I became alert instantly, this guy had snuck a spy into our base and caused the commotion from back then?
"I know you're wondering but my skill is pretty useful." He sneered and threw on his hood. I had tried to grab him but it was too late, and with that he and the little boy disappeared into the shadows.
"Dammit!" I cried out and slammed the wall with my fist. This complicated things so much more. I had to go get that boy but how? I suddenly remembered. The spy. I could get information out of him. I quickly slipped a note on top of Leo's scabbard and quickly sprung back to Ujiron. Maybe I could catch him before he left.
I arrived back at Ujiron swiftly and Mia Becker greeted me first.
"Hi Aksel-"
"There's no time for that, has anyone new arrived here?"
Mia thought for a moment before responding.
"In fact there was this one guy but.." She searched the crowds but couldn't find the person she was looking for. At the corner of my eye, I could see someone sprinting out of the station and onto the railways.
"Thanks." I quickly said to Mia and pursued the spy. If he had a skill like the other dude, then this would be bad. I had to catch him quickly.
[1,500 coins have been invested in agility.]
[Agility Lv. 15 -> Agility Lv. 18]
I quickly appeared behind him like a ghost and apprehended him onto the ground immediately.
"Tell me what station you come from. I'll count to 3."
"One."
He didn't say anything.
"Two."
I poured my magic power into my blade and held it right next to his throat.
"Okay, okay, just don't kill me! M-my representative told me to spy on Ujiron!"
"What station?"
"W-Wislim!"
The spy looked like he was about to pass out any time soon from the sheer shock. I dropped him and walked back off to Ujiron. There I saw Leo Collins running over to me.
"Aksel! Where is-"
"At Wislim Station. Come with me, quickly. Atticus, stay behind. You've done enough so far."
Atticus sounded relieved and grouped with the rest of Ujiron.
"We have to go quickly, Leo."
He nodded and we sprinted to Wislim. We had to rescue that boy, no matter what.
"Huh?" said a member of Wislim Station before he was slashed by Leo's Ominous Eclipse.
[The character 'Leo Collins' has activated the exclusive skill 'Judgment Time'.]
[The Absolute Good constellations have agreed to the use of this skill.]
['Judgment Time' has been activated.]
He swiftly cut down the members. We had to move quickly. I burst through and saw the guy who had kidnapped the boy. He tried to run away but I was quicker due to my new stat increase and impaled his arm.
"Arghhh!"
He screeched out in pain but I just kicked his head into the wall and snatched his flag. That's what you deserve for messing with my companions. I quickly reached the flagpole and found the little boy tied against the flagpole and untied him quickly.
"Are you okay kid?"
"Erich."
"What?"
"My name is Erich Caine."

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.

Maitbudi
Fermboi was a man of one ideal: make the weak strong. When his rebellion against the king proved futile, he was given another chance at life. This time, he sought to do nothing after realizing the hopelessness of it all. Aventina wanted to do nothing more than to follow her father’s footsteps. On a retaliation raid against her tribe’s enemies, her brothers perished. Spared by a leader of her enemies, she returned home to find herself the chief of her tribe. Bolahulag, half-civilized and half-barbarian, half-lowborn and half-royal. Raised in his mother’s civilized tent in a sea of barbaric shelters, Bolahulag was hesitant to follow his paternal way of life. After a battle between a civilized king and his father, Bolahulag was sent as hostage to learn the economy and military of the nation his father defeated. Derai knew nothing more than being an orphan, but when a merchant took her in, the world she thought impossible soon became a reality. Monghe, stuck in a school exemplifying strength for most of his life, began to understand what he needed to do in order to be strong instead of weak. Story is mostly about nothing. Fermboi does most of the nothing. Aventina does most of the military things. Bolahulag does a balance of economy and military. Derai focuses on economy. Monghe spitfires what it means to be a typical hero. Hopefully this is enough to give a general idea to people who don’t like going blind aside from the work being purportedly “good.” Who am I kidding, my writing is terrible. I hope it improves though.

The Tale of A Fortunate Slave
In the world of Valeria, The capital of The Kingdom of Albert is besieged and yet our story dose not begin in a stronghold or castle. Our protagonist is not strong or powerful, quite the opposite in fact, she is a ex-slave. An ex-slave that got "lucky" in a way that some fear and despise while others enjoy and like her. This is the story of the quite Ash the slave turned personal servant of the daemon princess Lucy Darkheart. This is very much a work in progress so please understand if there's any mistakes or errors. Not only that but I am a novice so that kind of thing is to be expected. Thank you! Edit: Updates are whenever I make one or two new chapters so expect them to be as inconstant as a dragons fire breath. *Tags and Genres may be added as the story progresses. I have a Twitter now cause it would not stop bugging me when I wanted to look at news for a game, the link is here, https://twitter.com/JustAPhoenix2 . I don't know if it works or not on the edit screen, but you can copy/paste it anyway. I may do stuff there like give insight to some of the more trivial parts of the characters lives. (That refers to ALL character, not just Ash.)
