《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 37: Prototype Blunder

Mere moments ago, ice slowly encroached over every inch of Callie's lab, with cracks sprawled all over the large elemental-prototype incubation pods. The snowflakes inside the incubation pod labelled Yokuza gathered and bundled together into a tall humanoid form, made entirely from snow, with spiky snow-white ice-like hair.
A hand, made of snow, was paced on the glass of the incubation pod as the elemental creature took on a more stable form. The ice/wind elemental caught a glimpse of his reflection in the glass of the incubation pod and jumped back in response. The elemental placed their free hand on their face, which was made entirely out of super compact snow and looked at the reflection of his crystally ocean blue eyes.
"What the-" the male ice/wind elemental said before being startled by the female echoey reverb in their voice. The elemental's shock was elevated even higher when he felt something brush up against their leg, sending a shiver through their body. The elemental instinctively kicked the thing that rubbed against his leg before howling out in pain as a sharp pain coursed through his body.
In the elemental's uncontrollable state, he accidentally headbutted the most cracked part of the incubation pod and instantly shattered the pod's glass. The elemental landed face first onto the ground as the two large snow-feather wings sporadically twitched in tandem with the elemental's pained groans. The elemental pushed themself up and sat on the ground before glancing at the wings on his back.
"So... I'm an Avia..., huh?". The elemental noticed the nameplate on the incubation pod he had broken out of. He squinted his eyes at the nameplate as his vision became less blurry.
"Yo...kuza, is that my name? Well, it sure beats being called..." Yokuza remarked before he felt a strong sinister aura behind him. He instantly spun around and was greeted by nothing but the other incubation pod filled with translucent cyan water. Yokuza lowered his fists and looked around the ice-covered room. Yokuza confusedly exhaled, making a small ice cloud form from his mouth, before picking up the remaining active incubation pod's nameplate.
"Aquaious Prototype Omega-23, code name Sapphire. Based on some tests it appears that this prototype has inherited Zuzu's race's natural biological instinct which I have called yanderous, still thinking of a better name for the alkorian's natural instinct. If records of alkorian, who've been overcome by their yanderous nature, are to be believed individuals become irrationally attached to a single individual while the alkorian begins to exhibit yandere-like tendencies." Yokuza read aloud. Yokuza flipped the nameplate over and noticed writing on the back.

"If all Alkorians eventually experience the effects of yanderous, does that mean that Zuzu has found a way to suppress his and that's why he doesn't act like a yandere around me or does he..., no way, there's no way he doesn't li- wait is the speech to text still going?" Yokuza amusedly reiterated.
"She sure is ambitious isn't she." a snickering watery female voice remarked. Yokuza's eyes widened and he darted his eyes upright as two sharp jets of water bursted out from the incubation pod. Yokuza instinctively launched himself backwards with the flap of his wings, as the water jets pierced through the nameplate Yokuza had dropped.
Yokuza landed on the railing, located inbetween the grating and the incubation pods, as the water rushed out from the now broken incubation pod. Yokuza cautiously watched as the water spiralled and morphed into a tall female humanoid made from translucent cyan water with long hair with pink cloud-shaped spots all over her hair.
"Guess my name is Saphire, and I heard you call yourself... Yokuza, right." Saphire remarked as she passionately stared Yokuza in the eyes with her crystal pink eyes. Yokuza hopped off the railing and hovered above the ground as he could feel the sinister sensation from earlier emanating from Saphire. Watery tendrils emerged from all over Sapphire's body and they, along with her long watery hair, morphed into sharp spikes making Yokuza dawn a defensive fighting stance mid-air.
"Then come at me, my counter!" Sapphire proclaimed before hurling the spikey tendrils at Yokuza. Yokuza had no clue what Sapphire was going on about but he wasn't about to let her kill him. Yokuza raised his right arm, causing the water tendrils to hesitate for a split second before racing at him at an even greater speed, as turquoise and golden flames gathered into his palm.
Meanwhile, on the outside of Callie's airship, Five was listening to Seven giving as he gave her a report.
"Although, it was very odd Magistrate Zulcrestus told everyone to remain off the airship until he and Magistrate Calloukus return." Seven mentioned before Five abruptly grabbed him and jumped into the air as the side of Callie's airship exploded with as turquoise and golden flames spewing out the airship. Five landed on the ground and dropped Seven.
Crowds of zelkio knights and royal guards rushed into the area; the knights with shields surrounded the airship and created a large perimeter before deploying a large magic wall with their shields. The knights braced themselves as they heard loud clanging from within the airship before Yokuza was flung out of it. Yokuza swiftly dug his wings into the ground as he was propelled towards the magic walls but barely managed to stop himself from hitting the wall.

"Man that hurt." Yokuza commented as his body turned into pale skin and his hair turned to a pale cyan ice-like hair. Five appeared next to Yokuza and dropped a navy blue winter fur trench coat on his head.
"I take it you're Yokuza?" Five asked as she placed black spandex, blue winter fur trousers and black winter fur boots, next to Yokuza.
"I think so..." Yokuza confusedly replied as he pulled the fur trench coat off his head.
"Well, I suggest you put those clothes on before I have to arrest you for public indecency." Five stated before she grabbed the bo-staff from her back.
"Right..."Yokuza said before quickly putting on the clothes. Sapphire smugly strode out from the smoking airship before hopping out of it and onto the ground. Yokuza tried to stand up but stumbled to his knees before vomiting out a rainbow-coloured liquid.
"Don't try to stand up, Magi- your crea- no... your mother mentioned your body wouldn't be fully stable until five more days." Sera(in casual clothes) shouted as she hurried through past the shielder zelkio knight and crouched next to Yokuza. Five ordered the knights close to Yokuza and Sera to cover Sera while Sera tends to Yokuza. Five clicked her neck as she imbued her staff in lightning magic.
"I'll only say this once, surrender willingly or I'll be forced to take you down." Five calmly shouted while pointing her bo-staff at Sapphire, making Sapphire deviously grin.
"Sorry to disappoint you but my business is with my... wait that would make him my brother... right?". Saphhire continued to mumble to herself as Five lowered her bo-staff and pondered something.
"Does that mean you are Sapphire?" Five asked. Five's question snapped Sapphire out of her rambling-like state.
"I suppose so, now are you going to let me fight my brother or not-". Sapphire abruptly spat up the same rainbow-coloured liquid as Yokuza. Sapphire's body started to slightly convulse before she collapsed to her knees. Her eyes strained as she wrapped her arms around her gut and fell onto her side. Five quickly placed her bo-staff back on her back before rushing over to Sapphire whose body changed into pale-coloured skin, while her hair remained unchanged. Five placed her hand on Sapphire's shoulder and asked if she was ok before realising Sapphire had passed out; however Five was concerned for Sapphire's health as Sapphire's breathing became heavier and heavier.
"It appears her body is expelling an unhealthy amount of mana." Providence stated as he descended to the ground. Five glanced up as Providence landed next to her.
"My lord, what's the call." Five inquired.
"Given this was caused by my negligence to give Magistrate Calloukus the proper time to check on her... children; we'll let these two off with a warning, and before I forget." Providence stated before crouching onto one knee and placing the index finger of his left on Sapphire's forehead. Providence transferred mana into Sapphire and her panting rapidly slowed to very slow yet heavy breathing. The zelkio knights and royal guards lowered the magic wall allowing multiple royal medical personnel to get through.
"Emperor King Providence, sir, where would you like us to take these two to, especially the female, given what you said?" one of the medical personnel asked. Providence glanced over at Yokuza, which sent a shiver down Yokuza's back even though he wasn't looking at Providence.
"That boy seems to have the same problem as me, only to a lesser extent, so take them to the medical facility, in the castle, and place a mana bracelet on the two." Providence instructed. The medical personnel saluted him before putting Sapphire and Yokuza on floating mana platforms before leaving the area, with a panicked Sera following closely behind them.
"It's a good thing she passed out." Five commented as she stood up.
"Are you implying you would have had an issue subduing her?" Providence asked. Five pondered before giving her response.
"It's not that I wouldn't be able to but there'd be lots of casualties and collateral damage." Five explained. Providence nodded his head.
"I see... we'll if you believe that, then I'll have you monitor the duo until their mental stabilities can be confirmed." Providence ordered. Five bowed before disappearing in a light cyan cloud. Providence yawned before turning to the many zelkio knights and royal guards awaiting orders.
"Raise the security around the medical ward to level five until further notice.". All the zelkio knights and royal guards bowed at Providence's order.
"Understood, Emperor King." the crowd chanted before disbanding.
