《Beast Saga: Humanity's End》Collapse of the Order

"Roar" and "thuuckk", a loud sound suddenly came from the room where a woman was sleeping; Tejasv was studying in a different room and became restless with the noise. Within a short period, numerous thoughts crossed his mind. “Perhaps she fell or, there’s a thief.”
"Mom!" he cried and ran towards the room. When he got there, he was shocked and horrified at the horrendous sight of the room. Blood was splattered everywhere, making it look like a scene straight from hell. The extensive stench of blood made him dizzy but when he was about to fall from watching that horrifying scene, he saw three green figures covered in blood. They were around the height of children and each one was carrying a sickle in their hands, however, one of them had a human head in its grasp, and blood was dripping from it. The creatures were small, little goblin-like beings that were laughing eerily.
Tejasv’s eyes slowly focused on the head the creature was holding. His body became numb, and his eyes became watery. Rage like he'd never felt before filled him from head to toe, his chest burned as if blood boiled within him. He felt all this when he saw his mother's severed head and body with numerous stab wounds. His eyes became as red as blood. The boy grabbed his father's golf stick and rammed into the goblins. When he attempted the attack, the creature threw his mother's head at him, forcing him to cover his eyes.
"These bastards are smart," he thought while analyzing them. They tried covering his eyes with blood to divert his attention to kill him quickly without giving him a chance to retaliate. However, he did not waver but instead stood his ground. The one who had the head of his mother looked like the leader. On his order, they surrounded Tejasv and started swinging their weapons in an orderly pattern, which is used to corner someone. He dodged the other two and bashed the head of the leader with his golf stick. He swung his stick until its head was smashed to bloody pieces. Watching their leader, the remaining two were horrified and backed off a bit.

Tejasv roared at them and jumped on the other one. When he was about to hit the second goblin, the other goblin swung its weapon from behind and tried to kill him. Fortunately, Tejasv reacted on time, and it only grazed him. He did not even flinch, as if all the pain receptors were removed from his body. Instead, he started hitting them simultaneously until they looked like a lump of meat. Slowly, as his strength dwindled, he realized what had happened. Amid this bloody mess, he started reminiscing about his mother and the last time he spoke to her.
----
Just a few hours ago,
"Tejasv, come, lunch's ready", a voice that he had heard since he was born, filled with love and determination, but now the voice was no longer there.
"Coming mom," he said.
He still remembered how bright she used to be when his father was alive. His father died while serving in the army seven years ago so, from that point, his mother looked tired and aged, more than her age was supposed to be.
Today, he had the same thought, what he was doing with his life as an unemployed common man born into a middle-class family. For five years, he had been preparing for a competitive exam for a government official. Unfortunately, destiny had other plans and never crossed paths with him, so he remained a pathetic and useless person for the rest of his life.
The only light in his dark life was his old mother. He never had a girlfriend or a lover, nor did he have the guts to have a crush on someone because of his inferiority complex. The only one he had was his mother. His only motivation for pushing himself to the limit was to achieve success and give her the life she deserved. A life filled with happiness, and he wanted her to be proud of him. However, he never realized his mother was happy living a simple life with her lovely son.

Whenever he looked tired of everything and was about to lose himself; she was there to support him from falling. She used to say the same thing, and that was also the last sentence she said today, "Don't worry, your diligent work will pay off someday, and stay happy even if you don't achieve something big."
"I am always with you, my baby," and "Mama loves you."
Now she also left him standing alone amid blood and flesh. When his rage cooled down, he walked toward his mother's lifeless body, and his eyes became wet. Tears started flowing non-stop as he repeatedly cried "mom".
----
Eventually, he calmed down and began to look around his house to see if any other goblins or monsters remained. He racked his brain about today's events, wondering if all this was a trick his mind played on him because of his exhausted body. However, he could feel the pain from the wounds, so everything was a reality.
“How did goblins come here? They are supposed to be in a fantasy world. Even if they appeared, the doors were locked, right?” He ventured outside and was shocked to see that his house was covered by some kind of transparent illuminating wall from outside. He climbed to the rooftop, and the same could be said for every building in his vicinity. A transparent illuminating wall surrounded every building with bright light. Everywhere in his field of vision was the same scenery of hell. Chaos, blood, and fire were all he saw.
Monsters roamed in the streets, as he heard the cries of people from their homes, but that wall did not allow anyone to leave. The buildings were like battlefields between the monster's assaults on humans.
----
At midnight, suddenly a window screen appeared in front of him, and a voice came to his ears:
beep-beep-beep

To understand everything carefully, Tejasv read over the instructions repeatedly. He realized that now the world was entering a period of war and chaos. These wars are not just between monsters and humans, but could also be between humans with different motives. Many people who dreamt that they should have been born during wartime started bearing their fangs. Those with power, intelligence, and the instinct to adapt would rule and shape the world according to their wishes.
Tejasv said boldly to himself, "From now on, I won't be the one who gets hunted; I will be the hunter." The law of the jungle will apply again, and the strong will rule.
These times mark the Dark Ages of Humanity.

MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)
