《Beast Saga: Humanity's End》Military Base Assault

Ten hours ago, before the sudden appearance of monsters,
At a military camp in City A:
"How's the revised training program working for the new cadets?" asks Captain Sam.
"They still need time to adjust to life in the camp, but every cadet has potential," Sergeant William replies.
"Well, we selected them for the new unit, especially since they would go to war; they should at least have some potential," Captain Sam replies.
"How about checking yourself once?" As Sergeant William suggests, after thinking for a while, Captain Sam replies, "Hmm, today I have some free time in my schedule."
"But Sir, why are you focusing on teaching them hand-to-hand combat and fighting with basic weaponry? Shouldn't we train them with only the latest arms that our country prepared for us?" Sergeant William asks.
"Arms can be equipped at any time and help a lot. I agree with this thinking, but we should always stay prepared for any scenario." "Do you remember my training days when I had to fight a bear that unfortunately entered our training mountain?" "I survived that fight because of my hand-to-hand and knife combat skills," Captain Sam says as he reflects on the past.
Sergeant William laughs and replies, "Sir, you not only survived, but you also killed that 7 ft. Bear with only your knife; " "and everyone knows you are the most skilled at bare-handed, hand-to-hand combat techniques;" and "No one can defeat you, and I don't think anyone will be able to."
Captain Sam stays silent and then answers, "It's not like I was never defeated." "You just don't know how talented people are in this world, and many are eager to start a war to enjoy the destruction that this peaceful world has forgotten."
Captain Sam sighs. "Therefore, every country is strengthening its forces to fight those who want to return to the era of war."
A cool sweat runs down the spine of Sergeant William.
----
The two of them arrive at the training grounds for new cadets. Suddenly, a murmuring sound starts rising. Each cadet whispers to another.
"Hey, who do you think he is?"
"Yes! He is Captain Sam. "
"He resolved many war situations by just attending negotiation tables." "I have heard that diplomats even piss themselves when he stands before them."
"Look at his build." "He even crushed a 9-foot bear."
"I heard the bear was 11 ft." "The hell," "can't say who is a beast anymore."
The surrounding area was suddenly silent when a harsh voice echoed in the air; "Attention!" The atmosphere made everyone's breathing sounds audible. The bodies of all the people in attendance vibrated to their cores. The cadets shake the ground with their feet in response to the loud command.

Sergeant William, who has some experience working with the captain, was also shaken watching this scene. "You all are the future of this nation's military."
"Be prepared to face any situation and become soldiers to rival anyone in this world," Captain Sam encourages the cadets.
"Yes, sir!" replied the cadets. Captain Sam commands the cadets to be at ease after watching their response.
It filled each cadet with vigor and strength after meeting their nation's hero and the commander of this base.
----
After meeting the cadets, the captain moved to check the defense and armory of the base. "Sir, why do you check everything daily? It will be the same as yesterday."
Captain Sam replies with frowning eyebrows, "This type of thinking is dangerous for a soldier. Sergeant, It will get you killed."
"We don't know when enemies are planning to strike, and enemies always strike when we show them our weakness." "We need to make sure that we are ready to defend and attack at all times."
"Yes, sir!" Sgt. William replies while reflecting on himself. "Now let's check the guard unit," Captain Sam says while walking towards the guard areas.
Both took rounds around the base and checked if each guard was in the assigned position. When both were checking the guard at the entrance of the camp, a huge explosion happened inside the base. They were shocked by the loud noise that had just entered their ears. Suddenly, the noise in the base was rising. Many thoughts crossed Captain Sam's mind within microseconds.
Captain Sam, who checks the base every day, missed the bomb. He could not comprehend how this was possible. Both of them run towards the base, and suddenly, Sgt. William asks, loudly pointing towards the entrance, "Sir, what is that?"
Both could not believe what they had just seen with their eyes. They could see a transparent wall that was bright enough to tell it apart from the surroundings. They sensed resistance when they touched the wall, showing they could not cross it. Captain Sam was confused because he had never heard from their secret agency that some countries had developed technology to this extent.
----
They ran inside the base to see what was happening and what caused the explosion. There was no one as far as they could see. Both entered an alley that connects cadet quarters to the training field. After a few steps, they could not believe their vision any longer. While Sergeant William was a veteran of many wars, he could not watch the scene. Even Captain Sam, who is referred to as a war hero, was terrified.
They could see body parts of the human body here and there, and a stream of blood found its way to the captain's feet. Someone took all the heads of the bodies as if showing them as a sign of victory. The stench of blood was strong enough to make them remember the wars. As both moved ahead, they witnessed the same scene created with even more brutality. They turned around the nearest corner and noticed a green humanoid beast about 3 ft. Standing with a mace, the beast was wearing the heads of humans as a necklace around its neck. Its face looked ugly with a wide open mouth and big nostrils.

The Captain and Sergeant were both taken aback when they saw this otherworldly monster. They could not believe what was happening anymore. Suddenly, Captain Sam heard a piercing voice. He glanced towards the sergeant. The blood was gushing from William's mouth, and a Halberd pierced his body from behind. Captain Sam turned around, and there was this same monster with a halberd in hand, wearing a necklace of human heads. It lifted the sergeant's body in the air with his halberd, and the sergeant's body split in half in those few seconds.
Now the captain was stuck between two giant monsters with no weapon in his hands. Because Captain Sam was a war veteran, he understood his situation immediately and found an opening in this mess. With his agility, he swiftly crossed between their legs and started running on his way out. He began running towards the armory to find some weapons that could deal with these monsters.
Captain Sam became red with anger. The only scene he could remember was Sergeant William's, while his body split in half. It disgusted him and ran a great deal of rage through his head. The closer he got to the armory, the more he could hear gunfire.
Looking around, he saw that soldiers with and without weapons were fighting the same giant monsters. They were driven by their fear and instinct. They attacked the monsters without coordination and slaughtered at a rate that no one could imagine. Blood and flesh were in the air as if it was a monster's festival. Monsters were laughing, and some were even eating the meat of humans.
Captain Sam was thinking about what he could do to turn the situation around, but for the first time in his life, he feared he would die a gruesome death if he interfered with no plan. While the captain was thinking through the situation; All of a sudden sound of heavy gunfire came from somewhere. He looked around, and what he saw gave him hope he had almost lost. The new cadets were firing on the monsters according to their training. They were roaring at the monsters and were rushing to save their comrades.
Captain Sam could feel, that they were also in extreme fear and were suppressing it by roaring. He was ashamed of himself for fearing while the new cadets were putting their lives on the line for each other.
"So the hero was only worth this much," the captain mumbled to himself. Captain Sam made a war cry that stunned every living creature presented at that scene. Everyone's attention was on the captain. The cadets were having tears in their eyes because now their hero was there to save them. With only the captain's presence, every soldier presented there brimmed with a strength that only the soldiers under the world's greatest commanders can show.
"CHARGE!" Captain Sam looked into the eyes of his soldiers and cried, "Charge!" His cry was loud enough to be heard by anyone around the base. Now the scene was different, the situation was different, and the soldiers were different. Each of the soldiers present there is now a veteran. They felt what a soldier feels while risking his life for his country and for his people. The feeling of fighting with comrades and being under a competent commander was breathtaking for them.
The expression of despair on their faces changed to hope; they were smiling proudly, and their hearts were blazing with a fire that could not be extinguished even in the face of overwhelming strength. The fire that Captain Sam ignited in the hearts of the soldiers on the military base made them all into monsters who could even rival Heaven's legendary army, as referred to in the holy books.
They charged at the monsters with anything in their hands. Those with no weapons turned their hands, nails, teeth, and even bones into weapons. Those who lost their limbs stood and used the remaining body parts of their bodies to capture monsters in their clutches. They were ready to die to give others a chance to kill even a single beast. Now it was difficult to tell who attacked whose base. Captain Sam took his knife and killed many monsters. His movements were so fast that the monsters could not even react, and he split their necks open without them knowing.
They cleared every monster there but could sense monster's around the base in large numbers. They were happy that they lived, but no one wanted to point out their death count, which was more than the monsters. Captain Sam said, "Let's find barracks to defend ourselves from their next attack."
They took everything that could be useful and started walking toward the barracks. While moving, they saw the bodies of their comrades, and each remaining cadet swore to himself that today, "They will paint this area with these monsters' blood. "
According to instructions from the captain, they moved to the barracks and took positions to defend. Nobody even asked how monsters exist in this world. From where did they come? However, they only had one goal in mind: to kill each one of them as brutally as they could.
