It had been one week since the night Juliet and I studied together. That night we'd been sexually intimate with each other. We didn't have actual sex, but we were pretty close to it! A couple days after that event, her and I talked about what each other wanted, in terms of how our first sexual encounter would go. But I had no idea when it was going to happen!

I was too anxious to text or call Juliet and just ask her when it was going to happen. I also felt weird about planning a day for us to have sex. I wanted the act to come natural, but at the same time, not knowing when it would happen was driving me insane!

I was currently playing video games, trying to get sex, and Juliet off my mind. I hadn't told Calinida about what happened with Juliet yet, I was too embarrassed too. However, I needed advice so, I had to fess up to her, one way or another. My cousin wasn't in our room, but I knew she'd be back soon, and that's when I would tell her.

About an hour had passed before Calinida came through the door. She was on the phone, so I waited for her to finish. I wasn't sure how long I waited, but it felt like forever! The anticipation was a nightmare! Finally, she hung up, and as soon as she turned around to look at me, I spoke.

"We almost had sex!" I blurted.

"Huh? 'We', who?!"

"Who else, Cali?! Me and Juliet!

"What?! Almost?! Why almost?" my cousin implored.

"Because! I've never had sex before! And she's never had sex before!"

"Damn… Well, what happened?" she questioned.

"She stopped us…and then we talked about it… Now I have no idea when we're gonna do it! It's been a week since we've gotten that intimate…"

"Wait, so do you think she doesn't want to do it with you anymore?"

Juliet had made it perfectly clear during our conversation last week that she definitely wanted us to lose our virginity to each other. And that's absolutely what I wanted too…

"No, she certainly wants to, I just don't know when! You know my anxiety doesn't allow for situations like this!"

My cousin chuckled. "Yeah I know, but for the most part, sex isn't planned."

"Yes, Cali, I know," I said harshly. I realized right away that my tone wasn't nice. "I'm sorry… I'm just freaking out over here."

"I know, so, apology accepted," my cousin said curtly. "Now, I get that you are nervous about when it happens, but you won't feel nervous in the moment when it's happening. Especially if this is something your heart really wants."

My eyes widened. At that moment it occurred to me that maybe my cousin wasn't a virgin anymore! Her words sounded so sincere, like she knew from experience.

"Wait…Cali, are you a virgin?"

She shook her head. "No, and as far as you know, I lost my virginity in college."

I gasped.

"Yeah, it was probably stupid of me to give my virginity up so young, but the person I did it with was so sweet."

"Charlie?!" I exclaimed in disbelief.

"Yup, Charlie," she said with a grin.

I was in shock, but I still had no solution to my anxiety issue.

"But back to you, you just have to feel out the mood. You'll know when it's about to happen," my cousin told me.

Her and I talked for a while about relationships, and on having sex with your partner for the first time. She admitted she obviously had a totally different take on sex being that her first time was with a male, but she was very helpful with the emotional aspect of it.

A couple days had passed since Calinida and I had our big talk… And Juliet had invited me over that night to have a sleepover. She explained that her roommate, Heather, would be with her boyfriend all weekend.

Juliet and I had sleepovers plenty of times until now, but this was going to be different! I just knew it! The last sleepover we had was prior to almost having sex, but now that sex was something we were both looking forward to… Was it going to happen tonight?!

Currently, I was packing for the night, and my cousin happened to be in our room.

"Whenever you start freaking out, just text me!" she insisted.

"Good plan, only how am I supposed to text you when our lips are locked together?!" I countered.

Calinida's expression fell flat. "Ugh! Right! Okay, okay, just breathe through it, and remember that it's your first time, so there's no mistakes."

I gave her a small smile. I really did appreciate that she was trying to be supportive.

"Thanks, Cali."

After I finished packing my overnight bag, Calinida gave me a big encouraging hug before I left our dorm. The entire walk over to Juliet's I was panicking. I had to consciously remind myself to take deep breaths, and before I knew it, I was at Juliet's building.

I went inside, went upstairs to her floor, and knocked on her door. She opened it right away, and gave me a giant grin.

"Naomi! Yay!"

I went into her room and she shut the door behind me.

"Hey, Juliet." I said and put my bag down on her bed.

When I turned around to face her, she startled me with a peck to the lips. It gave me butterflies. Then of course the butterflies turned to nerves that jabbed at my insides! Was that supposed to be a signal?! Did she want to have sex right now?!

"I got us snacks today! Danny and I went to the grocery store!" she said excitedly.

Okay, that was a no… If she wanted to have sex, we wouldn't be talking about snacks, right?

"Awesome, what did you buy?" I asked, after finding my voice.

She grabbed a grocery bag from the floor by her closet, and brought it to me.

"I got chips, and french onion dip! I got us candy too! Skittles, and Starburst…" she trailed off as she rummaged through the bag. "Oh! And I got us Reese's Pieces!"

I loved how excited she was, it made her look like a little kid, which was adorable! I gave her a big smile and she smiled back.

"It's gonna be a good night," Juliet affirmed and winked at me.

My heart stopped! She never winked before! Was that like—a special wink?! Was she trying to hint that she wanted to have sex tonight?! My thoughts were my biggest trigger to my anxiety, and it was driving me up a wall!

I spent a portion of the night trying to distinguish between Juliet being Juliet, or if she was initiating an intimate encounter. But most of the time, I was just overanalyzing every little thing she did! It was exhausting! After a while, I gave up.

We were watching a movie when she pulled me closer to her, wanting to cuddle. I snuggled up to her, taking in her familiar strawberry scent, and the scent of her body soap. She was so warm and soft, I found myself wanting to caress more of her body. And so I did…I ran my hand up and down her side, feeling her skin under my fingertips.

Juliet kissed my forehead, then my nose, and finally my lips, but the kiss was different… She kissed me longingly and desperately, like that would be the last time we ever kissed again... I kissed her back just as passionately, and she rested her hands on each side of my neck.

The both of us let out quiet moans as we made out. Our heated kissing turned into groping and caressing each other, until eventually we were dry humping. Juliet positioned herself so that she was straddling me while I was laying down on my back.

I grabbed her butt, one of my hands on each cheek, making her giggle. When she finally pulled away, we were both panting.

"Are we doing this?" she asked breathlessly.

I knew exactly what she meant…
