"Aurel, can you make the water even colder for me?"
Selphie innocently asked causing the young prince to then adorably nod before then turning the once cold water into a mixture of water and ice causing all four to then shiver.
"You-You're punishment wasn't ove-over just ye-yet! Aur-Aurel how about making it warmer? This time tr-try snapping your fingers!"
Selphie adorably shivered.
Causing the young prince to then quickly nod before then snapping his fingers causing the once icy cold bath to then return to its previous temperature before then finally becoming even warmer.
"Good! Style and execution matter when you're a god! However, that doesn't mean what you did earlier was bad if anything it's even more unique!"
Selphie happily approved.
Causing both Lily and Sylvia to then adorably nod causing Selphie to then remember something important.
"Aurel do you know what it means to be a god?"
Selphie curiously asked.
Causing the young prince to then look to her with an adorably confused expression.
"God?"
The young prince asked causing Selphie to then helplessly smile.
"Has no one ever taught you about the gods?"
Selphie surprisingly pouted causing the young prince to then adorably shake his head all the while causing her to then adorably look to Sylvia causing Sylvia to then helplessly smile.
"I-I taught him some things, almost everything I know in fact since I'm still what you'd call a Platinum god.."
Sylvia helplessly confessed causing Selphie to then adorably nod before then remembering something once more causing her to then helplessly smile as well.
"Whe-When you say almost everyth-"
Selphie worriedly asked.
"Yes, I-I showed him how to do many things! I still hid some things though so that's why I said almost! However, I may have accidentally skipped some little things like history, names, and my own precautions!"
"An-And I may have already shown him how to advance to what you few call a Platinum God, bu-but I promise I stopped there! Beca-Because firstly he's still what you call an empty template like a god that never inherited the rules"
"An-And that also means he's not restricted by them either so that means he can actually learn them very quickly unlike other gods"
Sylvia nervously admitted surprising both Selphie and Lily causing both to then feel a chill down their spines.
Causing both to then adorably look to the young prince with adorably surprised expressions causing Sylvia to then helplessly smile.
"PFT! HAHAHAHA! I should have expected something like this coming from you! Who else would teach Aurel everything other than what it means to be a god?! Let alone what it truly means to be god!"
Lily laughed causing Sylvia to then adorably fume.
"Look who's talking! You're the one who thought it be ok to skip everything and invade his mouth!"

Sylvia yelled causing Lily to then quickly laugh even harder.
"PFT! AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN!"
Lily shamelessly laughed causing Sylvia to then pout once more all the while causing Selphie to then quickly blush.
'SHA-SHAMELESS!'
Selphie surprisingly thought before then worriedly remembering something.
"Di-Did you teach him anything else?"
Selphie worriedly asked causing both Sylvia and Lily to then adorably blush.
"N-No.."
Lily shyly answered causing Selphie to then quickly sigh with relief.
"Bu-But.. other than him being a quick learner in training he-he's also a quick learner in other things.."
Lily confessed causing both Sylvia and Selphie to then helplessly become flushed.
'S-So when he's older he'll?'
Both thought, causing all three's noses to then bleed surprising the young prince and causing him to then adorably cover Selphie's nose with an adorably worried expression.
"I-Is Selphie hurt?"
The young prince worriedly asked causing all three's noses to then quickly bleed even more before then submerging themselves under the cold water.
Causing Selphie to then accidentally take the young prince along with her, after submerging all three shook their heads to remove the excess blood before then resurfacing.
"Le-Let's not think of such impure thoughts!"
Selphie helplessly reprimanded causing both Sylvia and Lily to then adorably nod before then noticing the young prince causing him to then quickly pout.
"Bul-Bullies!"
The young prince pouted causing all three to then remember something.
'We took Aurel down with us?!'
All three surprisingly thought.
Causing all three to then guilty hug the young prince all the while causing him to then adorably pout even more before then submerging all three before then finally resurfacing.
"W-We deserved that one.."
Selphie helplessly confessed causing both Lily and Sylvia to then helplessly nod before then noticing the young prince adorably looking to the bed with the same pouting expression.
Causing him to then adorably leave the bath before then snapping his fingers to dry himself off causing all three after noticing this to then quickly become worried before then adorably following him to the bed.
"What's wrong my celestial teddy bear? If it's about earlier we're sorry for ignoring you!"
Selphie guiltily apologized causing both Sylvia and Lily to then guilty nod.
Causing the young prince to then adorably pout once more before then getting under the sheets causing all three to then do the same before then snuggling the young prince.
Moments later the young prince ceased his pouting before then adorably looking to Lily with an adorably curious expression.
"Lily?"
The young prince adorably asked causing all three to then sigh with relief.
"Hmm? What is it?"
Lily asked causing the young prince to then adorably laying his head on her chest causing Lilly to then immediately hug him.
"Is Lily Demon God?"

The young prince curiously asked surprisingly all three causing Lily to then playfully nod.
"Technically speaking.. I'm an Abyssal God first! However, after leaving both The Abyssal Elves and The Abyssal Dragons in capable hands I created The 'Deluded' Demon Race!"
"Don't ask me how I got that name, most of the other Demons at the time were both repulsive and lacked manners while mine could be considered the most perfect!"
Lily proudly proclaimed causing the young prince to then adorably nod.
"Wha-What were Demon Gods like?"
The young prince asked surprisingly all three once more.
Causing Lily to then adorably look down to the young prince with an adorably curious expression before then playfully moving his bangs to the side.
"That's an interesting question. Some of The Abyssal Gods for example me and Lady Seraphine became 'Demon' Gods after creating our own races however we weren't very popular until later"
"Then came the insane invasion, civil war, and finally the fall of The Demon Gods, all of which were both ridiculous and pointless endeavors.."
Lily regretted before then playing with the young prince's hair causing him to then adorably blush.
"I gotta ask! Why the sudden interest in Demon Gods?"
Lily playfully asked before then teasingly looking into his eyes causing him to then quickly blush before then looking away.
"Bu-Bully.."
The young prince quickly pouted causing Lilly to then playfully poke the young prince's cheek.
"I-I want to know more.. I-I'm scared if I don't ask now I-I might never know things! I-I want to know Selphie, I want to know Sylvia, and I-I want to know you! I-I want to know everything bu-but I couldn't talk before.. bec-because I-I was still scared!"
"I don't want to lose Selphie, I-I don't want to lose Sylvia, an-and I don't want to lose you! I don't want to be a bad boy, I don't want to be a bully, an-and I don't want to make anyone lonely.. I don't want to leave anyone all alone!"
"I-I don't want to be scared i-if it means losing or not knowing! I-I want to know.. I need to understand.."
"I-I need to know, I need to understand.."
The young prince tearily explained surprisingly all three once more.
"Then you shall? Where should we start"
Lily nonchalantly asked before then looking to both Sylvia and Selphie causing Selphie to then helplessly smile.
"We should probably start with everything Sylvia left out.."
Selphie adorably remembered causing Sylvia to then quickly pout.
"That's a good start! I'll start with The Demon, and Abyssal Gods starting with my own creations! Then Selphie will go next with The Elf Gods and all The Elves and finally Sylvia!"
Lily laughed causing both Sylvia and Selphie to then excitedly nod causing Lily to then quickly remember something.
"Wait.. Sylvia, did you ever create a race?"
Lily curiously asked causing Sylvia to then helplessly nod.
"On a now 'hidden' continent slightly smaller than The continent of Corelestis called Coceleia there lives The Sun Elves and The Moon Elves.."
Sylvia embarrassedly explained surprising both Selphie and Lily.
"Wait wha-wait! What do you mean by hidden away?"
Lily surprisingly asked.
"Wait.. The Silver Elves and The Gold Elves?"
Selphie curiously asked causing Sylvia to then embarrassingly nod.
"Oh, gods how did you know?"
Sylvia blushed before then burying her head in the young prince's chest causing Selphie to then helplessly smile causing Lily to then pout.
"Well we have all heard the stories of both The Silver Elves and The Gold Elves.. but they disappeared three thousand years ago after finally making an appearance?"
"They even raided The Endless Abyss and even ransacked Lady Seraphine's Temple before disappearing!"
Selphie helplessly explained causing Lily to then adorably laugh uncontrollably.
"Sera was so red she looked like a volcano that was about to burst at any moment! She told me she had never felt so violated and swore to hunt them down! But she never found them! So-So it was you, Sylvia?! And you dare to call me shameless?!"
Lily laughed causing Sylvia to then hide under the young prince's blanket causing Lilly to then finally calm down before then remembering something herself.
"Ok-Ok but I have to ask! How did you hide an entire continent?!"
Lily jokingly asked causing Sylvia to then finally poke her head out before then burying her head in the young prince's chest once more.
"I-I just did.. stop asking so many questions! Talk about stupid Abyssal Dragons or something else!"
Sylvia pouted causing the young prince to then reassuringly kiss her forehead.
Before then finally reassuringly snuggling her.
"Before Lily starts talking about her dragons I always wanted to ask, why choose the appearance of a Dark Elf?"
Selphie curiously asked causing Sylvia to then shyly blush.
"I-I thought it was cute.."
Sylvia adorably confessed causing the young prince to then adorably kiss her forehead once more causing Sylvie to then helplessly blush once more.
"Au-Aurel.."
Sylvia pouted causing the young prince to then adorably nod.
"Sylvia is cute.."
The young prince shyly explained causing Sylvia to then adorably hug the young prince.
"So precious!"
Sylvia adorably exclaimed causing both Selphie and Lily to then quickly hug both.
"Ok, I'll go first then!"
"Firstly we'll talk about what it means to be a god then onto The Elves! But first.."
Selphie happily cheered before then adorably laying on the young prince's stomach.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
