《Dungeon of books》Ranked 1 in being Disgusting - Chapter 40

Pov - Celestia
I touch the new eye wraps covering my eyes that are corrupted by the abyss. Shivering at just the memory of what happened, I then sigh and looked up at the line that now enters the Dungeon. Despite all the times Arthur has asked me if I really want to go, and I don't have to, I know I must, even if it is just to get over the fear I have gained from going off on my own with a different team. Even Noel has not given me any of her usual antics for the time I have been back. There has been this cloud of despair covering our party since then. Even the guild and the city leader don’t know what the abyss is or how to cure its corruption. I have not used the [Abyss Sight] skill since I gained it, and Simmons keeps saying ‘just use it already’ while holding a notebook in his hand. Arthur has been following me around everywhere, scared to leave my side for any reason, wanting to be able to help me next time I get into a bad situation. I can understand slightly his worry about me still wanting to get into this dungeon, but this is the best way of racking up achievements in the surrounding 100 kilometers, or at least that's what I’m telling myself.
That is all in the past, though, so I should try to focus on something else besides the fear creeping into me at just the thought of entering the mines. I notice even more parties coming in behind us, I’m just confused, I swore there were not many people or adventurers in this town, so where are they coming from? I look in front of us to see that the door is only a meter or two away, I guess more time passed than I thought while contemplating the past. Furthermore, I then notice that the person directly in front of us looks slightly uncomfortable about getting closer to the door, and he was getting more uncomfortable by the centimeter. I look away from him for a moment to find several people looking in distress about coming closer also. I wonder why.
I shift my head slightly to see if I can see what is inside the door after the next party enters to get their numbered slip. Though I’m unable to see anything, it is not that the eye wraps are covering my eyes, there is an enchantment on it provided by the guild, so I can see through it as if it was clear from my end. Even though I have not looked into a mirror since the dungeon, I still know what I saw in that lake's water. I quickly try to clear that thought from my mind, I don’t want to get into another week-long depression thinking about it.

I realize again that time has moved forward far faster than I expected from me just thinking about it. I know that it is now one of my major weaknesses, but I just can’t seem to shake it from my mind no matter what I do, so that's another reason why I want to go down into the dungeon, to cure my fear.
Though, before I can go down another spiral of thought on the topic, the team directly in front of us is now about to enter the door to the dungeon admittance building. Though, one stops them all from entering. That one is shivering and says to the rest of his team, “Let me enter alone.” he then gulps, “I must go in alone so no one will be scarred …” he then pauses for an awfully long time as he tries to calm himself down, the whisper in a voice that is barely audible, “Tabatha awaits.” The rest of his party looks confused but allows him to enter by himself.
Simmons who was also eves dropping on the people in front of us freezes still and the color drains from him as if he was poisoned. He then mouths out, “Tabatha” though nothing comes out of his mouth as if he was in shock.
Though, before I could ask Simmons about it, the man enters the building with a look of resolve covering his face. Then I hear a shout from inside, “Tom, is that you?” the voice is deep but is trying to sound feminine, so it just comes out awkward. Then I also hear another yell from the same person, “And you brought no one you dirty dog!” it comes out trying to be flirtatious. Then I hear the man who had entered screaming with all his might for tens of seconds, then I hear a moan of ecstasy come out. I wonder what happened though that quickly ends when I hear the deep voice call out again, “While this lovely specimen is sleeping the next person can come in” Gulping I realize that we're next. I turn my head to the rest of my team to see Noel holding Simmons for some reason. Simmons wiggling all around seems to be trying to get out of the grip of Noel, but her grip holds is as hard as adamantite.

Simmons screams out in distress, “No, I can’t go in there!”
Noel pulls him slightly higher up, so their eyes are on the same level, and says, “Well, if it is really that bad, you can go in first.” when she finishes she throws him through the door, busting it wide open in the process.
Following them in, Arthur and me see a buffed man in poorly done makeup hugging Simmons in both arms while crying out, “My dear shota now we finally get to see each other once more. Now come on, give little me a big old kiss” Then bringing his face close to his, he kisses him on the lips while licking the surrounding area when his lips come in contact with the rest of his skin. Then pulling away, he says again, “Man, you taste just the same. Now how are these little friends of yours.” He finishes while licking his lips.
Though no response came from Simmons because he has already passed out from the shock of what just happened. Ignoring the words from, Tabatha? I look around to see what else I can find. Though, it is really difficult with all the screaming and yelling coming from him about ‘is her little shota hurt’ or something along those lines. With a cursory glance, I can see that the room is pretty barren except for the man who previously entered, who collapsed on the floor with his clothes disheveled and giant lipstick marks that outline many kisses.
Noel burst out laughing at the scenario that Simmons is now in, and I can see Arthur covering his face. Then after this goes on for a few more minutes, I couldn't take this anymore and shouted out in anger, “Can we just get our ticket already!” Though the very same time I finish my shout I realize what I have done and say quickly, “I didn’t mean to be rude, but we don’t want to see what you're going to do to Simmons, and we want to quickly get delving into the dungeon.” But this is strange, I don’t really act on my emotions all that often, it's like there is just more of every emotion in my body.
Though that is for consideration later, because I think we are either getting our ticket or getting kicked out because Tabatha is now standing up and walking behind her desk, but her face looks weird. It was as if her face became made of stone, no emotions showing.

I didn't even know that I was able to throw up since I became a dungeon, but I apparently can, and it still sucks. I just can’t seem to get those events out of my eyes. Tabatha did that, and then it transformed into that then… then, Tabatha did it. I can still see it. It would just be nicer if we killed the man now, so he can’t remember what Tabatha did to him. I then throw up again as it crossed my mind once more. After it happened, I removed my consciousness almost immediately from the area, and I don’t plan on checking it again any time soon, because if I were to see that again in my life it would be too soon.
Unannounced to me at the time, I also threw up from my core book, it was just that disgusting. Though what I threw up at the time was far more imported. It was those indecipherable letters that give headaches. After I threw up, Akasha put the letters into a non-see-through jar for safekeeping and future study.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
