《Lost In the Void. (Monster Evolution LitRpg)》Chapter 21 Family

I closed in on the origin point of the noise I was hearing.
The sounds grew louder as the thing making the noise was ramping even more than it was before coming here. After breaking through the trees I saw it in the distance. A Silver horse covered in dark purple mist. White hooves and with a long black whip-like tail. The mane is black and shorter than an adult's mane. Sharp needle teeth lined the inside of its mouth. Its eyes had an inner violet with an outer ring of blood red color. The gaze it had was strong and prideful. Void Colt Lv 7 Tier 2.
It was fighting a bigger version of a hollow kit. More and longer tentacles stretched out into an attack formation ready to strike at a moment of weakness. The claws were longer and more dangerous. It looked to be way faster than it was before as a tier 1. Hollow Cat Lv 9 Tier 2.
But it couldn't even get close to the Void Colt as the mist surrounding it.
The tentacles covering the back whipped towards the colt's rear legs. But as they touched the mist small sparks of purple lighting hit them.
Seeing its opponent being shocked again, the colt mist started to move towards the hollow cat trying to close the distance. While the mist moved so did it move by charging the hollow cat to finish it off.
The hollow cat tried moving out of the way to dodge but the lighting magic made it harder to move. Because it was unable to get away it raised the tentacles to face the directions of the charging colt to damage it even if it died in the process.
Before the tentacles even touched the colt the mist formed into daggers and sliced pierced through the tentacles as the colt hoves smashed the cat's head killing it instantly.
I watched in amazement as the beautiful monster in my sight was so strong. The magic it used was also amazing too. To be able to use two different magic skills together, I could just feel something like my twilight magic. I can't fight this thing no matter how strong I am now that mist would kill me three times over without even being able to get close to it. Physical attacks won't work and I have no idea how resistant it was to magical attacks.
Plus I still want to train myself before I even think about fighting a tier 2 monster. As I was leaving it looked at me and smiled wide as it showed off its needle teeth as it bit into the hollow cat's body.
"Nice fight but I don't want to fight you yet until you are at a higher level. And you better eat before more come here to interrupt your meal." I said.
"You are pretty cocky for a new tier 2 monster. I should kill you here but what fun would that be." It said biting into the meat.
"Well, I thought I would come and see what a real tier 2 was instead of those weak tier twos I fought before when I was still tier 1, anyway I am leaving now, fight you later." I told it while walking away.
It went back to digging into the food so I was free to leave. I hope I can fight it later and maybe gain some more resistance from the skills and magic it has.
I wandered around the area for a few more hours watching the other monsters that were at tier 2. Some were strong and others were extremely weak. How were most of them able to become tier 2 in the first place if they were this weak?

The colt was the strongest monster I had seen fighting and I only saw the ending of the fight. The most bothersome monsters were the bird monsters most were weak but very fast.
Yeah, I could not see the stealth monsters at all, It was impossible to even find them. After all, they only hunted the weaker and hurt monsters that let their guards down.
Some monsters were smart and hid from me to watch from a distance since this was the first time most of them have ever seen me before. While others were closer to me and stood only a short distance away. Not seeing any of them coming to attack me I wandered around taking in the sights.
The area around the mountains had fewer trees clumped together and more natural trails from other monsters. Getting closer to the mountain I saw how big it was. Stretching far into the sky I could barely see the top from down here. There were a lot of tunnels and caves I could see. I can't tell which were natural and what was monster made.
I would have to explore those, later on, to see what is in them. But from now on until I am ready I will need to fight the things that live there I will wait until then.
Walking to the east around the mountain I saw a shrine that was broken down. Wood and stones were crumbling to the ground as each small gust of wind not down even more of the rubble. This looks to have been made by something that wasn't a monster seeing as the statue inside depicted a half-naked human with a sword in one hand and an axe in the other one. How do I know that it is a human? Under the statue were words that were all messed up. They looked to have been clawed out.
New quest available. -> Destroy my brother's statue.
A few thousand years ago my brother sent his followers here to bridge the gap between us and to train his followers. During this time I didn't care and welcomed him and his people. But I didn't know that his bitch of a wife would have told that bastard. When she told him, he had sent an army to destroy me and my realm. My brother's people were the first to die while they placed reality bombs. I allowed my strongest children to kill the army and try to stop the bombs when I found out what was happening to my realm. They were able to gather the bombs and just as I was opening a portal to return the bombs to where they had come from almost every god and goddess came to strengthen the seals. I was weaker back then so I was unable to break free. To save her brothers and sisters my firstborn daughter swallowed the bombs and she shrunk to break through the cracks of reality exploding where the nightmares live. After that happened my brother came to apologize because this was his fault. I screamed and yelled at him, even trying to break the seal to kill him. When I couldn't I told him to kill his wife and then I would forgive him but, he refused and told me to get over it. Saying it wasn't her fault and just a mistake and that he would punish who was responsible for it. Even though he is the god of justice where was the justice my daughter deserved? Please destroy this statue for me, my son, the other monsters are unable to come near it due to the holy aura it has but you will be fine since you have been blessed and your soul has been touched by us. Please get rid of this statue for me.

I could feel the sadness and anger coming from the words from the quest given to me by Mother. "What are the names of these three gods Mother?" I asked her while accepting the mission.
No messages came after I asked. Maybe if I complete the quest she can tell me. Thinking that was the case I used over half my mp to cast twilight bolts. 166 of my mp disappeared allowing 83 bolts to appear around me. Then I thought I might be able to make the bolts even more powerful.
I started with two bolts right next to my head. I tried to will the both of them to join together. I watched while this happened, holding my breath in anticipation of what it would do. Then I felt it as the two bolts started to merge. The two bolts were fluctuating as they tried to become one. My mana manipulation skill wasn't high enough to do any more than this. The bolt was five times stronger than it was before I fused the two but it wouldn't last long. It probably had 10 seconds or less left before it had a total meltdown and blows up in my face.
Seeing no way around this I shot the bolt at the statue. When it hit it exploded with the force to make a tree thicker than Colt disappear in an instant. But what pissed me off was that the statue only had a small scratch on the side of its face. So I fused every bolt to the one next to it and sent them off to the statue. When I finished there was only a small crack in the statue.
I thought of a way to get permanently rid of the statue. If I could get Mother to open a portal I could most likely use my tattoo to spit the statue for the nightmare to have. They would be able to destroy it. But that felt like cheating and not doing it myself. Mother gave me this quest to destroy the statue so I would spend however long it would take to kill it. Mother saved my soul without even having the reason to save it at all. So I would pay her back a hundredfold.
Noticing how long this would take I cleared out the place to set up the shed so I had a place to rest when out of magic and couldn't move anymore. The tattoo set the shed behind me and I used the rest of my mp to do what I did earlier. The crack opened up just a little bit more as a small amount of dust floated away. With no more mp left, I ran at the statue and began to beat it with my claws and tail. I couldn't do anything to it but that didn't stop me. Strike after strike I laid into it with everything I had. My claws and tail were badly damaged, so I switched to my fist until they were broken too. Pain racked my body but this was nothing like losing a loved one. My pain would fade but Mother's would stay forever.
I was angry that I couldn't ease the pain Mother has and that I couldn't destroy this fucking piece of shit's statue fast enough. I wouldn't stop until it was turned into dust and then burned away by hellfire.
Blood fell from my body and dripped on the sliver grass as I sat there and watched the statue. I felt the statue's eyes infuse with magic as a gold light. The eyes turned towards me and locked eyes with me. I had gained enough mp to cast two bolts now but waited to see what would the god controlling the statue was doing. More gold light infused the lips of the statue.
"Child of chaos why have you attacked my statue?" The god asked.
So I ignored what it said and waited for my body to heal and regain more mp. While my eyes never left the statue not even for a second.
"I demand you answer me, MONSTER!" the idiot god yelled at me.
When I went to open its mouth to yell at me again I shot a fused bolt into the mouth. The god choked on my twilight bolt. I watched it gag and spit up big clouds of dust. Maybe the inside of the statue has less resistance than the outside of it. I can probably shoot more into the mouth of the god if he is stupid.
"How dare you bastard attack me while speaking. Fucking talk to me before I smite you and send you off to hefffst." he was cut off when I got enough mp to shoot a regular bolt onto its mouth again.
This went on for hours while I sat to regain more mp. After six hours my body was healed back to one hundred percent. And every time the god spoke I would shoot more bolts down the statue's throat. I didn't care that he speak to me, yell at me, threaten me, or even when it started to beg me to stop. I watched with cold eyes. This god pissed me off it betrayed his sister's trust and didn't even let her get vengeance for her daughter's death. My anger grew as the god watched with teary eyes as I tried to destroy it without stopping unless I was healing or regenerating. The god tried to infuse more of the statue after the first hour but I think Mother stopped him from being able to weaponize the statue to attack me.
After four more hours of nonstop attacking it, I felt very tired and couldn't move as well as I wanted. The statue god felt relief at seeing me get tired.
"Ha, I knew you couldn't keep attacking me forever without rest. By the time you awaken, I will have recovered the damage you have done to me. Pitiful monster all of the effort you have put in will have been for not. Now surrender and pray to me for forgiveness. Or else when I am able I shall smite you and send you to hefffstsda." I got tired from hearing him speak so I sent another fused bolt. After hours of fusing bolts, I was now able to fuse five at once increasing the damage done 25 times more.
I was thirsty too after hours of wailing on the statue in front of me. I had the tattoo pour pond water into my mouth and felt a burst of energy flooding my veins. The sleepy feeling was gone and I knew I could continue to attack until I ran out of water. And that wasn't happening any time soon. So I had a smile that showed how scary a monster of the void was as the god froze in fear as I started to laugh.
Lots of my skills had increased by leaps and bounds by attacking this statue. My monster fighting skill had become tier 2 while my regeneration was getting very close to tier 3. My magic skills were so close to tier 3 too it was so good.
I noticed that Colt came by and watched me for a bit and laughed its ass off when I choked the god by bolting its throat. It told me good luck with killing that annoying bastard as it left.
When I got hungry I grabbed a snake and ate it. The god gagged as I ate the snake raw, even eating some of the bones. Ten hours passed as I continued to destroy it.
Two days passed and only half of the upper body and head were left. Another two days passed and all that remained was the head. The god couldn't leave no matter what it did. Mother had trapped him here just to suffer. I knew that these past four days were nothing to him at all. This was like a drop in the bucket of time for him. Still seeing your body slowly be destroyed and every time the monster did it, really fucked with your mind, and if that monster was a tier 2 and not any higher and was still able to do things like this what would happen when it grew? I could tell that the god started to fear what was happening to it after it realized it was unable to do anything at all. I grabbed a chair from the shed and sat there looking down on the head.
"Finally giving up I see you put up a wonderful attempt to destroy my holy statue but alas it was never meant to be. You shall be forgiven for how much effort you put into this when I come. Wait I was just joking please stop I shall never come here ever again. I will never return so please stop and leave me be. Please I beg of you please stop." he pleaded to me while crying. While I was getting said chair the god thought I was finally giving up and hope returned to his eyes only to vanish after I dragged the chair out and put it in front of him and sat in it.
I began once again. This time it took over five days to destroy almost every part of the god. Only one eye was left still glowing a faint golden light but just very dim.
I knew it was able to hear me so after all of this time together with just the two of us I spoke to him with coldness in my voice. "You are a betrayer and shall be punished for your sins. One day I shall come for you and your wife. First I shall start with your children flaying the flesh from their skins. All while you watch unable to do anything about it. Then start with that bitch of a wife her screams shall be music to my ears. And as I finally start with you you with be dead after I send you to death. Now hide for I shall come soon." I said as the biggest bolt I had ever made floated above me with enough power to destroy this eye a hundred times over. Not satisfied enough I condensed the bolt to half its size before I wasn't able to do anymore without the bolt exploding on me. I picked up the eye and threw it into the sky. After flying hundreds of feet away I sent the instant death bolt slamming into the of a god. Space warped and I saw the quest telling me it was complete. But I was so tired and needed real sleep, not the fake sleep the water gave me. I dragged the chair back inside closing the door behind me before passing out onto the bed.
My last thought was to Mother hoping that brought her some joy of me torturing her scumbag brother.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

This is a story about Jonah Bellwood and how he rises to be the strongest mage(?) on earth. *This is my very first try at writing a novel and I'm not a native in English, so pls tell me mistakes and I will fix them ^^ *There won't be harem, but I will try myself on some romance. I always liked romance in LitRPG, so I will try my best do an acceptable romance that works together with the story. *Later I will also add some POV's for some important chars, but not for many, cuz thats too much for me at the moment.
