"Has anyone any information on this Kaito Kid?" a man with black hair wearing a white shirt asks. He can be perfectly described as 'normal' or 'plain'

"No Detective Tsukauchi. The security cameras don't have any images of him and the same with the street cameras. There were no eyewitnesses either " a cat person answers

"Sighh... someone broke into a facility with a very good security system and seemingly took nothing. Of course, nobody actually believes that, it just means he is a good hacker as well to completely cover his traces like this. This is something that we really see these days. An actual professional." says Naomasa Tsukauchi while rubbing his face

"The higher-ups started putting pressure on as soon as they heard how good he is. They want him caught before he can do any more Damage" he says with a tired voice

"Sir why are we dealing with this? I mean there is just one crime so far, and there isn't any information to even begin an investigation? Shouldn't this go to the White Collar Division?" another police officer questions

"It's because they don't like me. My Quirk Lie Detector makes me a very good at my job. But that makes me a threat to some of the higher-ups and their 'associates' " Naomasa spits out the last part in disgust

*SLAMM*

The doors slammed open and a police officer with a heavy breath rushed in

"Huff.. Huff.. Sir.."

"Calm down, take a deep breath and start your report" Detective Nakamura says calmly

The police officer took a deep breath

"Kaito Kid just robbed a Jewelry Exhibition at the National Museum" the police officer yelled out

"WHAT!!!" everybody in the room yelled out

~A few days earlier

I need more money.

The stuff I saved up from tournaments is mostly used for food, and there is very little left from what I stole.

I do want to come out as Garou but I'm not stupid enough to rush in blindly. I need gear if I'm going to be doing dangerous stunts like that.

Kevlar clothes for example, smoke/flash grenades, even some shrunken for distractions so I can run away.

But mostly the Material that Mirio Togata uses that works with his Quirk.

The past few days I have been gathering DNA from animals in and near the neighborhood.

Cats, dogs, parrots, snakes, spiders, scorpions, there was even a crocodile for my surprise. Who the fuck keeps a crocodile as a pet?

But that wasn't the most useful one. I found a chameleon, quite a few actually, but one of them was THE chameleon with the best camouflage, that thing must have cost a fortune to import here. And of course, I broke in the houses to get their DNA.

So chameleon DNA is acquired but that just makes my skin blend in, I need that special fiber to make the rest of my clothes do it as well. And that costs a fortune, I always wondered why Momo doesn't wear that Material so she can make clothes over it. I'll mention that later to her parents, nobody wants to see their kid half naked on TV.

Back on track, I need a lot of money to get that stuff on the black market, but here's the catch, they accept everything that is tradable as payment. That means I can pay with gold, gems, jewelry, artwork, drugs and even slaves are accepted.

So I decided to quickly rob some stores and museums and buy the damn thing.

I still haven't started making my many martial arts, they need actual opponents to be truly tested if it works.

If I make them now, I don't think I can stop myself from trying them on someone.

"Do any of you, 'highly trained officers, detectives and forensics have something?" Detective Naomasa sighs out

"I'll take anything, even a piece of dandruff"

"I'm sorry to say Sir, but other than the note he left there isn't anything else here. Even the note has been cleaned, leaving absolutely no evidence behind. Whoever he is sir, the guy's a pro." says one of the younger officers, he tries to hide it but he is very impressed with our mystery thief

" You are not supposed to be impressed by the actions of a criminal

" Oh come on, I know you are thinking of the same thing. For there to be a thief of this caliber here, in our city, things are about to get a whole lot more exciting" the kid grins as hard as he can

" Yea, yea, keep telling yourself that kid," says Nakamura and goes back to re-read the note.

"No taunts by criminals, in general, is summarized as ' I'm smarter/stronger than you, catch me if you can'. There was none of that here"

"Sigh...The higher-ups are gonna love this, they will hold this case over my head until I catch this guy. What a pain.."

" " What?!" " Everybody looked up at the sound

Cards started falling from the sealing.

Detective Naomasa garbed one as it was falling down, and read the note

[ If you are reading this as they are falling down then that means exactly one hour has passed since I was last here. By this time I should have just finished robbing the biggest Diamond Exchange in the city, 5 kilometers away from here. If you hurry up, you might be able to catch a glimpse of my shadow.
