《The Star Goddess (Watty's 2018)》Chapter One

Diiiiiiiiiiiiing diiiiiiiiiiiing diiiiiiiiiiiiing!
My alarm rang out loudly. I slammed my hand down as hard as I could and turned off the little screaming devil. I dragged my weary body out of the bunk bed, careful not to hit my head when I remembered I get to meet my potential parents today.
I jumped up and ran to the bathroom that all of the girls share in the building. I got the shower running while I ran back to my shared room to grab some clothes. Tossing the clothes onto a sink, I stripped and dumped the dirty laundry in a hamper. The hot water ran over my body, relaxing my ever tensing muscles.
I wonder what they will be like. Will they even like me? I am turning eighteen in a few months. Maybe that's why they are adopting me. They can get rid of me sooner if they don't like me, I thought as I started washing my hair. Rinsing out all of the vanilla scented shampoo, I lathered my hair with some matching conditioner. No, I need to stay positive. If they do decide to adopt me, they aren't going to just leave me. They won't abandon me. They won't die on me. Not like dad did. Tears started streaming down my face as I remembered my father.
My mother had abandoned us when I was born so I never knew her, and dad never talked about her. My dad became my whole world. He died in an animal attack when I was just five years old. After that, I got shoved into the system. I've been in nine foster homes, three group homes and one looney bin for a short while.
I was feeling really upset about being an orphan combined with puberty hormones and the like, and I tried to commit suicide. I stayed in the nuthouse for about three months until they were sure I wasn't going to try anything. I didn't want to die back then. I just didn't want to feel unloved and unwanted anymore. I was lonely and reaching out, I suppose. After that, I promised I would live my life for my dad. I would live the life that he created but never got to see.

I finished my shower after washing myself with some tangerine body wash and started towel drying my body and hair. Wrapping the worn out towel around my head, I started to get dressed. I slipped on a matching purple bra and panty set, then some ripped black skinny jeans and finally, a black and white checkered shirt.
Running back to my room, I unwrapped my head and shook out some excess water. I grabbed a brush and started furiously brushing out my knotty wet hair as I look for a pair of shoes. I settled for one of the other girl's plain black heels.
We all borrowed each other's stuff. We didn't have much to begin with so when we all share it we get a wider selection. My hair was half dried, so I grabbed a scrunchie and swooped all my hair up into a fairly loose messy bun. I was about to put on some makeup when I heard my name being called... loudly.
"STELLA! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE! THE PEOPLE WILL BE HERE SOON!" screamed the group home manager, Ms. Jean. She was actually pretty nice... most of the time. I walked out of the room and smacked my head into what felt like a brick wall. Looking up, I saw one of the boys from the other side of the building.
"Jackson, do you mind getting out of my way?" I asked snobbily, crossing my arms. Jackson is a complete and utter asshole. All he does is try to get girls to sleep with him. And I'm his latest victim. Jackson's eyes drifted down towards my chest, where my boobs were being pushed up by me crossing my arms. I smacked him upside the head as hard as I could, which in reality probably wasn't very. He is 6'2" and I'm 5'3". Just shy of a whole foot taller than me.

"Damn. You look good today, baby" Jackson said, still staring at my chest.
"Hey, asswipe. My face is up here!" I made a dramatic motion with my hand.
"I know. And while your face is lovely, I like your body better. I think your breasts got bigger again. What are they now, DDD?" Jackson licked his lips staring at my body. I pushed him as hard as I could, and he fell against the wall.
"I'm still a DD, asshole. Now leave me alone," I said cruelly as I wiped imaginary dirt from my hands. I swayed my hips as I walked down the staircase, just as extra torture. I glanced back with a sneer and met his gaze. He looked away shamefully and fiddled with his hands. As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs, I head a knock on the door.
