《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 586 The Experiment Part 7

"It is because of her condition that I feel the need to do this."
Yui says "This seems like an unnecessary risk."
Myria says "Whatever the risk, I trust Ash!"
Core says "Really??"
Myria says "When it comes to the safety of others I trust Ash completely. The only time I don't trust him is when it concerns his safety."
"Thanks, I think."
Yui says "Well, if you are set on doing this, is there anything I can do to help?"
"Actually, yes. Bring up Core's scan again but focus in on the extra organ near her heart."
Yui says "This one? What is it?"
"Yes, that one. If my guess is right, that is what allows elves to not get mana poisoning."
Yui says "And if your guess is wrong?"
"It won't matter. My intent when I create it will make it work. Besides, I doubt I'm wrong, notice how all the arteries that return blood to the heart go through it?"
Core says "So it cleans the blood before it enters the heart?"
"Exactly! It probably works against poison as well."
Yui says "Just be careful!"
Once I am done changing how the channels work to make it a circulatory system I move on to the heart. Before I can add the extra organ I first have to move Myria's arteries around a little. Once that is done I use mana and a tiny bit of life force to create the organ.
Everything goes smoothly, in fact it is a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Myria's body seems to want the organ there, all I do is start creating it and it just takes over. The problem is that once it is done, it doesn't look the same as the one Core has.
Even though it looks different, I can sense that it will do what I was hoping for. It will clean all the blood that passes through it of mana and any other foreign substances. If this works out I am somewhat tempted to see if I can give myself this organ as well.

If I had the time I would have tested it on myself first before doing it to Myria. Since I don't know how long Myria has before the mana poisoning starts I have no choice. However, what's done is done, now I just have to wait and see if it works.
"Myria, how do you feel?"
Myria says "A little strange, my chest feels tight!"
As soon as she complains about her chest I turn my focus there and look for any problems. Unfortunately, I find one, her heart is struggling for some reason, it was fine before. As I focus in and study her heart I start getting worried when I find the cause of the problem.
The muscles in her body have been growing due to the flow of mana from the new core. I find a birth defect inside Myria's heart, one that is getting worse as the muscle grows. It isn't caused by a wound, so my healing spells have no effect on it.
By feeding a little sacred power into her heart I am able to slow down the damage. It is only enough to buy some time and make Myria a little more comfortable. If I can't figure out something quickly, Myria is going to suffer heart failure.
Myria says "That feels a little better."
"It's only temporary. Yui, Core, do either of you know a stasis spell?"
Yui says "No, I don't."
Core says "I don't either. Why?"
"Because, we need to freeze Myria somehow, until I can get her a new heart."
Myria says "What?!"
Seronia says "I can help!"
"If you can, please do!"
Before Myria can even ask what is going on, she freezes completely, even the sweat dripping down her face freezes. She isn't covered in ice or anything, but it looks like time has simply stopped. If so that is perfect, it means her heart won't damage itself any more.

"Thank you, Seronia!"
Seronia says "You are welcome, but the downside is you cannot do anything to her while the spell is active."
"That's fine, I just need time to find a suitable heart. How long will the spell last?"
Seronia says "Until I remove it. I could keep her like this for a thousand years if needed."
"Hopefully it won't take me long to find her a new heart."
Yui says "Since she is currently safe, can you explain what happened?"
"I found a defect in her heart, it has been there since birth. Due to the muscle density increasing after the mana core went active, it started causing problems. Without the stasis spell her heart would have failed within an hour, two at most."
Core says "Can't you just fix it?"
"Because she was born with it, healing spells won't see it as something to fix. And I am not good enough to try and manually repair a heart while it is beating."
Yui says "If her heart was stopped could you fix it?"
"Maybe, I'm not sure. My old world had lots of information about how the heart works, but I wasn't a doctor or anything. Besides, her heart isn't the same as a human heart, there are some differences."
Yui says "If you can't fix it, maybe Seronia can?"
Seronia says "I could, but it would mean bringing her to my realm. She would have to stay here at least a year, but I don't think she would want that."
"I agree, she will be pissed if she misses more than a few days. I think finding a new heart is the best option."
Core says "So, all you need is another bunny girl?"
"No, I won't ask someone to give up their life if I can avoid it. I was actually thinking that a beast heart would be a better option considering what happened with her core."
Yui says "Another experiment?! Haven't you done enough already?"
"If I removed her core and gave her a normal heart do you think she would be happy?"
Yui says "Well, no. But why would you have to remove her core?"
"Because, the process has already gone too far. If I put a normal heart in her as she is it would explode. The only option would be to find a bunny girl, complete the process on her, and then remove her heart."
Core says "Wouldn't the same thing happen with a beast heart?"
"No, a mana beast would have had mana flowing through its heart since birth. Since Myria is part mana beast she should be able to accept a beast heart without too many problems. I hope."
Yui says "So, what kind of mana beast do you intend to use?"
"That I haven't figured out yet. It will need to be something similar in mass to Myria, preferably closely related to a rabbit."
Yui says "Checking. No matches found in the records I have."
"Alright, I will go ask Kitara if she knows of anything. If she doesn't then I may have to get creative."
Core says "Meaning?"
"Well, if I can't find a mana beast that matches, I will just have to find something else and hope I can make it work."

There's a Hero in the Kingdom
When the world has heroes that occasionally appear from another world, what impact do these heroes have? How do the people already present react? There's a Hero in the Kingdom follows the prince of the Kingdom of Sengar and his closest allies as he seeks out the newest hero that has appeared within their borders. Can he convince the hero to join in his efforts? This is very much a work in progress with the intent that it might someday be a proper series. Constructive feedback is appreciated as I would like to turn this into a fully fleshed out story for that purpose. Thank you. -Fleza Release Schedule: Routine schedule suspended indefinitely. Recovery of a Life
The prince of a kingdom was erased from the world. His very existence an enigma. Follow Xopil as he forces his life into a world that refuses to acknowledge his presence. I tried to write a novel without including all the standard things you find in certain genres, or if it is included, I hope it's at least a fresh take on it, this includes me breaking the fourth wall, probably too much. I'm wondering if that helped with humor at all, and also reconsidering if that should be a part of the story. I'm going to be rewriting every chapter at this point... and that chapter I'm extremely disappointed with could likely be deleted if not redone entirely. Now that this story is marked 'completed', I'll be going through each chapter and fleshing out the story a bit, as I found it severely lacking, and I've been saying to myself "I could have done more with that." way more often than I should be. And that speaks to my own dissatisfaction with my writing. I make no warranty-express or implied-as to the quality of these chapters, or the story as a whole. Cover art by Roman Valeyev
