Chapter 215 - Releasing True Slaughter
Yaan did not want to lose himself.
Whenever he felt the terrifying slaughter within his soul, the slaughter that threatened to break out at any moment, erasing his sanity and causing him to do the unspeakable, he recalled a certain time, a time he would rather forget…
Back in Zong Village, Yaan lost himself, he was completely overwhelmed by the power of the slaughter aura. He had needed to kill 100 people in order to complete the Fiend Foundation, but he never intended to slaughter so wantonly after losing his sound mind.
He killed so many innocents, children, his friends, the undeserving…
He lost control.
He caused so much damage when he was just a mortal. With his current strength, if he truly lost control, just what sort of catastrophe might he cause?
So, he was careful. He needed to kill, he needed to absorb slaughter aura, but he also needed to stay on guard.
Whenever he visited a branch tribe, he either dismantled or destroyed the formation. He killed the 5-Star warriors and sometimes the more obstinate 4-Star warriors, then assessed the aftermath.
After trying various methods of killing, Yaan concluded that using his soul force was definitely the way to go. If he wanted to create a method which could make use of slaughter aura to strengthen his soul, then using his soul force to kill was going to be an integral aspect.
After going through 144 tribes, he was starting to make progress. It was slow, but at least he managed to retain his sound mind. He had only made around half a percent of progress towards ascending his soul into an Arch Spirit, but Yaan held onto the hope that he would eventually develop a technique by going on like this.
As Yaan was lost in thought, he abruptly stopped.
“What is it?” Rui was the first to ask.
“What’s wrong, senior?” The Bloody Totem Tribe Leader asked.
Nobody else had the guts to say anything.
Yaan sighed, looking up deeply into the night sky.
“It seems that our pace was too slow and leisurely. The Aztec Flame Province’s communication network is quite impressive.” Yaan spoke allowed.
Everyone around him became tense.
From the darkness in the night sky, an Aztec man silently came forwards. He was a towering man, standing at 27 feet tall, and as he moved closer towards Yaan’s group, he suddenly began shining with splendid light.
“6…6-Star warrior!” Someone cried out in terror.
But that was far from the end.
In the darkness, countless Aztecs surrounded Yaan’s 50-strong group.
Yaan glanced at the large man and assessed him quietly. He had beast teeth hanging around his neck and countless war wounds that he chose to leave on his body as a reminder of his failures.
Yaan then turned to the side, and saw individuals on either side of the huge man.

Each had 6-Star cultivation.
The Bloody Totem Tribe Leader shrunk back, gritting her teeth, her heart palpitating in fear. However, she didn’t dare to go back too far, because all around them, imposing Aztec men and women stared back. Their gazes were filled with hatred and killing intent, they could not wait to tear apart the Red Demon and his entourage!
Yaan didn’t need to activate reveal truth to quickly count their numbers. He turned around slowly, showing his back to his multiple 6-Star enemies, an arrogant display that shocked many people.
“1,605 4-Star warrior. 92 5-Star warriors. And…six 6-Star warriors.” Yaan stated plainly.
Everyone on both sides froze. Yaan’s side broke out in cold sweat, the opposing side felt disbelief.
They had shown three of their 6-Star warriors, but how was he able to recognise the other three?!
“I see.” Yaan looked around at the crowd that had come to greet him. “Feeling threatened by my assault on your tribes, six of your 5-Star warriors broke through to Nirvana in order to defeat me…”
The leader, the ruler of the Aztec Flame Tribe and the Aztec Flame Province, stepped forwards and stared down at Yaan with a deep killing intent.
His name was Flaming Lion. Fire surged in his blood, and even from a young age, battle and war ran through his veins. He had killed countless enemies on the battlefield, he grew up thriving on the Aztec culture, and eventually, he became the leader of this great province.
He was known to have the greatest killing intent of all men in this province!
He stared down at Yaan, releasing the full might of his 6-Star aura, his 6-Star killing intent. His intention was to scare Yaan so terrifically that he would break down and beg for mercy.
Yaan slowly looked up. He remained calm, showing a gaze that held a hidden slaughterous desire within.
For an instant, that gaze made the giant Aztec man feel strange.
But it was just a gaze filled with fairly strong killing intent, there was nothing special about it! It wasn’t nearly as powerful as his…as his…
At first, Yaan’s eyelids had been covering half of his eyes. Ever since he emerged from his 200 years of cultivation, he had kept his gaze partially hidden behind his eyelids, I order to restrain his overwhelming killing intent from leaking out into the world. If he revealed his true killing intent, his subordinates would not even be able to stand near him
For the first time since forming his slaughter variant spirit soul, Yaan began to fully open his eyes, properly revealing his slaughterous desires to the world.
The Aztec giant felt as if he was slowly being crushed from below. He felt as if he had roused something that he shouldn’t have.
Yaan opened his eyes slowly, but the Aztec powerhouse just wanted it to stop!

Yaan paused momentarily. He waved one hand, then slapped down towards his subordinates, sending them flying pitifully down to the ground. They felt aggrieved to be attacked by their leader, but as they looked up, in the next instant, they understood.
Yaan fully opened his eyes.
Whoosh…
It was not fast, but the wave of slaughter that spread outwards was like nothing any of these people had ever witnessed before. Palpitations of slaughterous desires spread through the air, causing it to look like the world itself was trembling in fear!
This was Yaan releasing his soul force without restraint, using it to kill, to slaughter wantonly, without holding anything back!
The world turned grey in an instant. Yaan stood at the centre of the slaughterous atmosphere, releasing wave after wave of slaughterous aura into the world around him.
The 6-Star Aztecs were able to block and defend themselves, hastily retreating as they did so. They gasped for breath as blood dripped from their eyes, ears and mouths.
After a moment, the six of them reconvened instinctively, knowing that they needed to stick together.
“That must have been his strongest attack, there’s no way he could release something like that again!”
“Right! We need to regroup with the 5-Star warriors! Have the 4-Star warriors form formations, make them-”
“Uh…leader…”
“What is it?!” Flaming Lion turned in anger towards the person who interrupted his hasty plan, but that person was just staring upwards with a dumbfounded expression, unable to put his thoughts into words.
They all followed his gaze up. The sight that met their eyes caused all six to feel fearful…as Aztec powerhouses of the province, they actually felt fearful!
Bodies dropped from the sky.
4-Star, 5-Star, it made no difference.
Only a few lucky ones escaped, thanks to being far enough away from the centre of the calamity.
But in an instant, 98% of their forces had been massacred!
That wasn’t even the most terrifying part of it.
Yaan, stood in the centre, was completely covered by slaughter. The slaughter had filled his eyes, it flooded through his veins, his flesh, every fibre of his being.
The slaughter cut outwards, killing all life in its vicinity. It slaughtered wantonly, destroying all in its path, killing, killing, then killing some more!
“This is…just his aura, isn’t it…?” One of the 6-Star warriors swallowed slightly, subconsciously stepping back.
None of them knew what to say.
However, just as it seemed that all hope was lost, the grey mist which was previously slicing through the falling bodies in the air, suddenly froze.
“You don’t…control me! I…control you!” Yaan growled out in a blood-curdling voice.
Gradually, the grey slaughterous power began to retract back inside him. It was slow, and excruciatingly painful, but eventually, it all returned to his body.
Once in his body, it was a whole other job getting it back into his soul. But, eventually, every spec of the soul force and the slaughter had returned to his soul.
Yaan breathed heavily. His eyes were filled with exhaustion, he looked weakened, like he was on the verge of passing out.
The 6-Star warriors all looked at once another. Although shocked by what they had just witnessed, they were all experienced individuals…they realised that it was now or never!
Whoosh!
They rushed forth at the same time.
“Yaan, six Nirvana realm body temperers are coming for you, run.” Rui’s voice echoed in his mind.
Unexpectedly, Yaan shook his head.
“No…I nearly…understand…just a bit more…just a bit more…”
He looked up tiredly, then threw back multiple Rank 6 recovery medicines. Any one of these medicines was worth an entire Rank 5 tribe’s treasury, yet he swallowed a dozen of them like candy.
This was far too wasteful, but right now, Yaan felt that it was worth it.
This fight was exactly what he needed in order to comprehend slaughter.
“Reveal truth…” He muttered as he felt the energy returning to his body.
He saw six figures. They moved fast, but compared to Yaan, they were far too slow.
The large one, the leader, was the strongest, yet he did not concern Yaan much. All he possessed was brute strength, he knew zero spells, he did not even bother using treasures.
When he assessed the others, Yaan felt even more confident in his chances of victory.
There was a man with skin so dark that it looked unnatural; because it was. He was covered from head to toe in tattoos; he had entered Nirvana by following the astral path! This was extremely rare. He would make an excellent target for Yaan to comprehend slaughter.
There was a woman with bulging muscles, wielding a spear with extreme speed.
There was an extremely obese man. He looked like he was in terrible shape, but Yaan could see that he had immense energy reserves.
And there were two twins, male and female, they both wore fur cloaks, and they practically mirrored each other’s movements. They both wielded daggers coated in poisons, something quite uncommon for the Aztecs.
Six 6-Star warriors, attacking him at the same time.
Yaan, already tired from subduing the slaughter, smiled.
Before the eyes of five of six of the warriors, he suddenly vanished.
Were it not for him discovering with reveal truth that only one of these people possessed immortal stage dao comprehension, he might have actually fled. However, only Flaming Lion had immortal stage dao comprehension into the dao of fire, the rest had just entered Nirvana in order to protect their tribes and fight against the foreign enemy!
They were merely 5-Star warriors with massive amounts of energy. Only Flaming Lion was a true Nirvana realm cultivator in Yaan’s eyes.
Regardless, all of them were perfect targets for his slaughter.

Magitech Awakenings
In this world of Terrapia, myth states that Dragons are caretakers of the chaos wheel, a band of energy that encircles the world, penetrating through the very fabric of the dimension. They tame and convert it, not only to fuel their primal magic, but also to gentler forms that man and beast alike can tap. But now they have faded away, being sighted less and less the past couple millennia. With magic weakening, science has taken root and in many cases merged in a symbiosis with magic. Guppy Bright, a 17 year old young woman, is a technomancer apprentice living in the bustling city of Nolusburg trying to make ends meet. However something goes horribly wrong and a rip in the very fabric of reality opens in the workshop, sucking in her mentor and ejecting a dying white dragon. The dragon, after examining her, takes a gamble and entwines their souls, an act that causes the dragon, Barthurthalomalew Dresnarian Kratomanger Harrowhew Objuslorow, the 5th, aka Batty, to regress into a baby dragon, sealing much of his powers and memories in the process. This act also has profound effects on Guppy, her own magic is now crazily changed in ways no one, least of all her, understands. Guppy is suddenly plunged into a world of mystery, intrigue and politics, where everyone either wants to control, or eliminate her. Armed with little but her courage and unpredictable newfound magic how will she survive and protect herself and those she loves when everyone from techno radicals, magic purists, politicians and guttersnipes are out to get her. And those may be the least of her problems if Batty's fragmented memories are any indicator.

Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
