《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 175

Azrael, leader of the angels, stood still for a few minutes, looking at the military base in front of the army while communicating with the people inside it.
After the battle against the moving vegetation, everything calmed down to the point that if one overlooked the burned plants and damage to the terrain, no one would suspect that a battle had just ended there.
Even so, the tension was still in the air, as someone was always looking behind them, fearing that the plants would start moving toward them again.
After a while, the rest heard Azrael's voice inside their heads again.
"I have good news. The military's leaders agreed to share with us some of the information they have about the general situation in the area. It seems like we are in a flying chunk of land in the middle of the void, and that jungle fills most of it." Azrael's voice explained.
"How are we in the middle of the void? This place looks similar to how my world looks, and as far as I know..." Nathan said before staying quiet for a few seconds." Now that I think about it, there are no records of the borders of my world. Could it be that every world is like that?"
"No, they are not. Mine has the shape of a sphere, and you can go around it if you travel long enough." Jason explained.
"What? A sphere? How can that be possible? Don't you fall out of it?" Travis asked incredulously.
After hearing that, Jason proceeded to give a lecture about gravity and its fundamental laws. Some cultivators listened to him with great interest, while others soon became bored and continued looking at their surroundings, trying to spot any moving plant.
"I may have gone a little off the rails, but worlds don't usually share a shape, while all rifts look very similar. We have yet to learn why, but the areas you find inside rifts look like something has ripped them out of the ground before sending them to the void." Jason explained.

"So the information they gave us doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know, right?" Nathan asked.
"They have given us more information I have yet to tell you." Azrael's voice spoke into their heads again.
Realizing they had interrupted what the Angel was saying, both leaders stood quiet, waiting for him to continue giving them information.
"A few decades ago, a meteorite fell in the middle of the jungle. At first, it looked like nothing had happened, but after they sent a group of soldiers to check the damages it had caused, they found out that the plants around the impact zone had a weird shine. Before they even realized it, the vegetation started moving and attacking them. At first, they didn't think much about that, as they would only need to request reinforcements before they could safely discover what was happening, but the support never arrived. The next time they tried to ask for help, they realized the communications didn't work anymore, and when they sent planes to try and contact the other bases, they realized they were flying in the middle of the void." Azrael explained. "Because they didn't receive any support, they couldn't risk sending many troops toward the impact zone, and little by little, the weird shine began to expand toward the rest of the jungle.
"I bet one of the places we need to go inside this rift is that impact zone. I don't know what it might be there, but whatever it is, I'm sure it caused the vegetation to become so aggressive." Jason explained.
"But reaching it might be a problem." Nathan said." This jungle seems giant; it looks like the vegetation can exchange energy to create powerful creatures and boost them, so traversing it without a plan might be a suicide mission."

"They said the same." Azrael supported Nathan's words." But they have been preparing a plan for years and think that with our help, they might be able to do it.
"And what it is?" Nathan asked curiously.
"As the vegetation can aid each other to reduce the damage they receive, they had thought that splitting the jungle into various portions may help deal with one of them," Azrael explained.
"And how do they plan on doing that? I don't think creating a separation of a few meters between the vegetation would do anything to avoid that energy exchange." Jason said.
"They plan on using all their remaining arsenal in a definitive attack, creating the biggest fire this rift has ever witnessed," Azrael said.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.
