It's been 2 days since the incident between me and Leo. We both don't talk that much, he goes to the office at 6 in the morning thinking I am still asleep and comes after midnight.

I wanted to go back to my home, but Leo doesn't allow me to go not until, the hearing which is today.

We have to reach court in an hour and I am just sitting on Leo's bed calculating every worst outcome that could happen.

Garcia had been a big support for me through the past few days always cheering me up as a mother would.

Leo's mom also came yesterday and we both stayed in bed all day I slept with my head on her lap and her hand caressing my forehead.

I didn't know mother love felt like this. Talking about my mother she did call me the next morning when I woke up in Leo's arm.

She told me to withdraw the case because dad is very upset as William was the son of his top clients back in Seattle. Plus he might be shouting or blaming mom. Well it's always about them, isn't it?

I told her that I will take the case back. Pathetic I know, It sounded like that. Leo listened to me talking to my mom and he just rushed out of the house angry and still, we haven't talked.

I was not going to withdraw the case it was just to calm my mom's nerves and tell her what was going on but she was more concerned about herself than me because I guess she forgot to ask about how was I doing.

Still, I am grateful to her that she never treated me like dad did. Sure she would never intervene when dad punished me, but after it was over she would take care of me.

My maternal grandparents also took great care of me before my granddad died and my grandmother went to asylum she suffered from Alzheimer's and died 3 years ago.

We still had 45 minutes left, to reach court and Leo as usual is still not talking to me. I want to apologise to him, but sometimes talking to him scares me.

Not that he will hit me it feels like he will go away from me. A tear slipped from the corner of my eyes and I felt a thumb wipe it from my face.

I looked at the hand and then the face it was Leo. He stood up from the ground and gave me the tissue box which was already lying on the bedside table.

"I am sorry, I was not gonna do that, it was just to calm my mom," I said in a low murmuring voice. Leo was still angry with me because his fist was right making his knuckles white.

He just hummed and looked outside the window. He was gonna play the ignoring game. Well, I am not gonna take that shit anymore.

"Stop ignoring me, Leo." I half cried and half yelled. I see Leo jolted a little with my little outburst. I ran inside the bathroom and started to splash cool water on my face to cool myself down.

I could hear Leo knocking on the door and telling me to come out. I sat on the toilet seat just to calm my breathing down before I go out looking like a pathetic mess.

When my breathing got normal, I opened the door founding Leo in front of it. " I am sorry," I said and with that, I started to move out of the room.

As I stepped outside the room Leo trapped my elbow and pulled me inside the room, standing close to me his chest brushing with mine.

"I don't know what is happening with you right now, but it a hurting you and seeing you hurt always hurts me," Leo said with concern in his eyes and maybe a little tear.

Leo lifted my chin with his index fingers and brought his face close to mine. His hands went on my waist and my hands went behind his neck.

His lips hovered over mine, I licked my lips and moved them slightly close to his. Leo moved a little closer and he kissed the corner of my lips.

I was surprised, disappointed and maybe a little happy about the kiss.

"We are getting late now, Let's kick his ass today, you are gonna win and then we will celebrate," Leo said in a low husky voice and I giggled.

He kissed both my eyelids. "I don't like these swelled up, don't cry again." He said which made my cheeks blush red. Leo caressed his thumb on my cheek softly and I leaned into his touch.

Reaching the court, my heart was beating against my chest. People were staring at me holding hands with Leo.

I tried to free my hands from his hold but he glared at me and held my hand again.

Entering the office I saw my lawyer, basically the hospitals' lawyer and a very good friend of mine Christina Smith.

"You got this boo," Christina said and hugged the air out of me.

There was still time for my hearing so Christina and me we both sat at the chairs outside the courtroom.

Leo left me to get his parents here from the gate. They wanted to be here to support me today.

As we both were talking I saw William coming with his lawyer in our direction with his smug face on. Before he could reach us Leo came between us.

"Back off" Leo growled. William took a step back but still had his dirty smile on.

"See you after the court Savanah," William said in a warning tone.

I should have never let Leo take the control of the situation, or what would I have done, gulp the rat poison.

But William's brother is the owner he would everything in his power to win this case. And poor me would have nothing left in her hands except being the girl who put false allegations against other people.

Leo turned to look at me, but I was already zoned out. "Hey don't let him affect you. I know you, we all know you. And believe me or not today is your victory. With will win today." Leo said with so much hope in his eyes.

Leo was wasting his time one me what will happen if I don't win this case. He would have wasted a lot of time on me, taking care of me, and his parents are next to go for me.

They made me feel the love I always wanted for the last 27 years of my life. I miss my family, even though they don't care enough for me.

"What if I won't win today," I asked with a trembling voice." I am tired Leo, please wake me up from this dream, I can't take this hurt anymore." I said controlling the urge not to cry my eyes out.

"Savanah listens to me, this dream is not gonna hurt you because I know you will win today, you already did take the first step by complaining about him. Don't back out, if you do today there will be someone else who will be tortured by these monstrous souls."

"You are no quitter, let me ask you something do you remember what you did when I tackled you to the ground in the hospital," Leo asked and I giggled.

I vividly remembered what I did.

"I want that Savanah back, who would do anything to make sure the people she loves are safe. Now you are the one. You have to be strong. You are strong, you just need to embrace it. Hold your head high." Leo said and he hugged me.

I hugged him so tightly like my life was dependent on it.

Soon we all reached inside the courtroom.

William's lawyer started the argument.

"My lord my client Dr Peter William has contributed so much for this community, but in return, He is getting played by cheap doctors Like Dr Rodriguez."

Cheap me, I shouldn't gave cone here.

"My client considers Dr Rodriguez to be his sister, he would never even lay hand on a girl because he has 2 beautiful twin girls"

"Objection my lord but just having two daughters doesn't mean you are not a molester," Christina said.

"My lord we have statements from previous victims of Dr William, which are taken from Dr Nolic's email, which was deferred by the previous medical officer."

Previous medical administrator?

It was never changed, what is happening is so confusing. When did the medical administrator change?

"My lord I want to call the medical administrator Dr Vanessa Morello, who was appointed after Dr Savanah's case was filed," Christina said.

Vanessa when did this happen.

I turn to look back at Leo, but his expression was normal he was not a bit surprised at all.

"Mrs Morello tell me what happened when you got the complaint from Dr Savanah." Christina asked."

"When I got the complaint I simply did a background check on both of them, apparently Dr William had 3 more sexual molestation complaint which was never registered to the medical board." Vanessa said.

"The previous medical administrator I guess deferred his complaints."

"That's all your honour," Christina told.

"Dr Morello, is it true that you have your own children's hospital in Brooklyn." William's lawyer asked.

"Yes, I do."

"Then why did you take up the position of a medical administrator in New York," he asked.

"It was a great opportunity to work with other people and I am only a contractual medical administrator, not the permanent one," Vanessa said.

"Dr Morello have you ever met Dr Savanah before?" He asked.

"Yes, 3 months ago she removed a clot from my heart and was very hospitable to me, meeting my every need and then as a gratitude I invited her to one of my charity events," Vanessa said with confidence.

"So do you invite every doctor to your charity events, Dr Morello?" He asked with cunningness filled in his voice.

"No sir, I only call those people who are passionate about their work and treat patients with kindness and tenderness and Dr Savanah did that for me."

"So, it has nothing to do with the fact that your son, Leonardo Morello owns the hospital." He said.

My eyes went wide, when did that happen Leo bought the hospital I again turned to look at Leo, but he was still calm and composed like he already knew what was happening.
