My whole life, when my dad says that find a person you feel your life is incomplete without. I never understood it, because I never felt it was incomplete.

But today looking at Savanah presenting her research paper on the stage in front of a hundred people, I surely feel complete. She makes ne feel complete.

She is still speaking on the stage, I am looking around myself, people are seriously listening to her, and none seems to be in dismay at what she is saying.

The whole room was filled with Savanah's voice, she was so strong, and she looks so empowering. In between speaking, she looks at me with a smile and I look at her in complete awe.

The moment Savanah said 'thank you the whole room was filled with applauses. Everyone gave a standing ovation to her because as always she is amazing.

Even though you didn't get a word except for the word heart, which was also used one time.

She was surrounded by all the doctors and scientists asking different questions to her and as always she was smiling and answering them.

Savanah made her way towards me, "how did I do?" She asked.

Everyone in the room was bewitched by her but she is still asking how did she do.

"Absolute amazing," I said and she grinned like a little girl.

Honestly speaking, Savanah smiling is always the highlight of my day, she makes my day heaven.

"Thanks, I adore you." She said placing a kiss on my left cheek.

I still don't get why we both say this to each other, but every time she says it to me it feels like, it's a secret code for something she is telling me.

We made our way to the main hall, where everyone was talking, dancing eating with others.

Savanah was right this was like another ball except for people here were scientists. Multiple people came to Savanah to congratulate her or ask questions about her paper.

Throughout her interaction, not once did she makes me feel left out, but every time someone cones she introduces ne to them, and they talked with me too.

"Are you good," Savanah asked.

Soon waiter came to us with drinks, Savanah took her usual pineapple juice, and I was about to pick up one for myself but she didn't let me.

So I took a glass of whiskey, and God I missed it. Savanah looked at me giving me a wide smile and saying 'told you.

"your paper was phenomenal." a voice boomed from behind us. we turned back to see a male in his late 30s with a pregnant lady with her. he had a small subtle and a good build.

"Dr Anderson." Savanah greeted.

"goodness I left you for 4 years, and you made a boyfriend, not bad," he said and everyone laughed at his comment except for me. I now really need to know who is he.

"Leo this is Dr Carl Anderson, he was an attending in plastics when I was doing my internship, and Dr Anderson this is Leonardo Morello my boyfriend." as soon as the word boyfriend left her mouth my frown was replaced by a smile.

"I know Savanah his teleoperation technology has helped the plastic industry a lot," he said.

"and how are you Massie and the little munchkin," Savanah asked bending to the level of the lady's stomach and placing a kiss on her pregnant belly.

"the boy is a disaster, terrible like his father," Massie said and Savanah laughed.

"by the way impressive work you did back there, but honestly speaking your research skills would be a golden bird for plastic surgery," Carl said and Savanah just snorted.

"do you know Leo my first week of internship I was allotted to Dr Anderson and the whole week he made me fetch his breakfast, his laundry, and send flowers to girls?" Savanah said and Massie murmured a small ' I know'.

"I was just checking how hardcore you were."

"No you didn't you hated interns," Massie said.

"leave all the medical talk behind, Leonardo tell me how did you get Savanah to go on a date with you, because the whole hospital couldn't take her on one, including me," Carl asked and honestly I was a little jealous he tried to persuade her, but also happy that she rejected him.

"babe because she knew you were a whore back then." his wife said and savannah giggled like a small girl.

"it's just we met, we ate, we danced, and one day we kissed, and I am lucky that I met her," I said and looked at savannah, she was already looking at me with complete vulnerability in her eyes.

"aww I am so happy for you Savanah, omg just look at the way he looks at you," Massie said and savannah blushed.

we all talked for a bit I got to know that someone even proposed to Savanah to get married but she declined.

"I need to get to the restroom, the little guy is pressing my bladder."

" I will come with you, " savannah said and made her way towards the washroom with Massie. leaving me and Carl alone.

"you know what you did back there for Savanah with William..... I am thankful to you for that. she is gold and doesn't deserve that pain she got from him." For once I agreed with Carl.

we talked about different things like politics he asked me about my company and ideas s=about my latest projects. to be honest. I don't think Carl is that bad I thought him to be he is a great guy.

"you love her, don't you?" Carl blurted nearly choking me on my drink.

"do you love her," he asked again but before I could answer, both the ladies came to us.

"babe let's go eat something I am Hella hungry Massie said and dragged Carl with him, his eyes lingered on me with his question lingering on my mind.

" what you both were talking about," Savanah asked me to which I just said a simple nothing, Savannah looked at me with suspicion but didn't budge me further.

"Do you want to dance with me," I asked her and to which she said yes.

We both made it to the floor, dancing to all the romantic songs, Savannah was singing along with the songs and the lighting from the chandelier made her face glow like a moon.

My body must be moving to the tune of the songs but my mind and eyes just had one thing on them.

It was midnight, and Savanah wanted to leave so we made our way back to the car.

"Can I stay with you tonight?" Savanah asked, a low chuckle escaped my lips.

"You don't have to ask me, you can stay whenever you want," I said and interlaced our fingers together placing a kiss on the back of her hand.

We reached home, as I locked the door Savanah turned to face me and kissed me.

"Thank you Leo for being there with me tonight." She said against my lips smiling and looking at me with big brown eyes, the eyes which made me fall in love with her the first time.

I bend down to kiss her, Savanah snaked her arms to my neck to hold herself, softly making circles with her fingertips on the back of my head.

I wrapped my arm around her waist, lifting her a little up.
