“Student please take your seat tickets from here, and only sit on your assigned numbers!”
Entering in Ceremony hall students needs to pick up the randomly appearing imaginary tickets in front of them.
“My Seat number is 0385! What's your?”
Tomoya who had already reached & grabbed his ticket looked at Grey.
“My seat number is 0068!”
“Haizz, Looks like we are going to divide here. Anyway, good luck and let's meet up later.”
“Yah! Good luck to you as well.”
Parting from Tomoya, Grey begins to look for his seat number. The Auditorium was precisely big. The Academies campus was already huge in size, and the students living in Merthyr Academy have surpassed four digits numbers.
While he walked, Grey had already noticed an abnormal tension appearing between students. The situation wasn’t just throughout the Magic Apprentice & Outcasts students, it was also perfectly varied among the Magic Teachers in Merthyr Academy.
Because it was an entrance ceremony that was responsible for the country’s
future Magic Users, the academy had specifically taken some precautions.
Walking and searching for almost fifteen minutes later did Grey find his seat number.
The ticket was randomly generated causing both Outcasts & Magic Apprentice student's to mix up together.
Seeing the left side of his seat was still vacant, Grey properly sit on his seat looking at the high podium in front of him.
Although it was not his official ID number, Grey was still concerned by the thoughts Tomoya had said to him before. In this school, you wouldn’t find out what class you were in until you were issued an ID card. And the class you could assign would depend on your strength and Magic powers. Therefore, he was not so worried that he would enter into a troublesome situation. But his inner thoughts were still in turmoil.

There was, however, still unhappy students who were either cursing for becoming Outcasts student in random manners and some are even unhappy to sit next to Outcasts students.
“Why should I enter and become a trash Outcasts student? I'm already was a level 1 magic caster with a high affinity for magic. This Merthyr Academy really didn't have any eyes for a genius!”
“Yes, brother Toya was already a level 1 magic caster, even the second-year Apprentice students couldn't compare to him.”
“This school didn't have any eyes for a talented person like our brother Toya!”
Following behind the red-haired boy, gloating about his strength, the boys were releasing their frustration with their dampened moods.
“Go, find my sit..” Although the gloating of his strength was very pleasant to his ears, the redhead boy was not moved by their words. He already knows their real intentions.
[Guess those who are strong, will always feel discrimination against the weak.]
That was certainly a kind of wisdom to live by. The student who was following the redhead boy didn't feel like daring to go against it, so they found this person to walk behind him.
Seeing them walking away from his direction, Grey glanced at the clock on the wall. There are still ten minutes of time left for the entrance ceremony to begin.
The Communication devices were completely restricted within the auditorium, so he couldn’t access his smartphone any longer. And taking it out in a place like this would be a breach of etiquette.
He tried to imagine Tomoya's warning, where he said that everything is going to change in Merthyr Academy from this year around, in the new student's Entrance Ceremony. Thinking about this at the moment…Grey shook his head a little. There was no way something could happen at this event.

In the end, without anything left to do, Grey finally let out his stiff expression loose and slid deeper into his cushionless chair, and closed his eyes.
...............
Grey was about to let himself fall asleep like that when somebody addressed him.
“…Hey, that person isn't he an Outcasts…Why he was sitting on the chair of a Magic Apprentice student?”
“Eh isn't these sits were only reserved for Magic Apprentice students! Looking at him, he was more like any ordinary person even for any Outcasts student. Maybe he had entered the Merthyr Academy from back doors?”
“Maybe it's a mistake. An ordinary male Outcast student actually got mixed into the Magic Apprentice Division…!”
The female Magic Apprentice students in front of him, secretly looking at Grey and were quietly discussing about him.
[Why don't you guys leave me alone already?]
Seeing the suspicious expression's on their face, Grey already understand their thoughts.
Really now, if you carefully think about it, he had really come to an extraordinary place.
Because Magic Apprentice students' Magic Power was naturally higher than of any Outcasts students, their value was greater.
However, speaking of which, Grey did not have a Magic Power surpassing
the average standard of people.
Why he joined the Merthyr Academy was on the sole purpose because of his foster father's wish. As he said to him live a fulfilling life and find himself his own path.
Even he, himself, wondered if he had chosen the right path.
..........
There was, however, a clear rule governing the distribution of new students in Merthyr Academy.
The front half seats available in Auditorium were for the Magic Apprentice students. The students with a high affinity for magic, and the embroidered emblem on their left Chest.
This new Magic Apprentice students could enjoy the full curriculum the school had to offer to them.
Therefore, the students didn’t naturally split up by strength but used the student's affinity for magic & its growth to divide.
Truthfully, he did not have much confidence in his magic talent. Especially in his Magic Power. Acquired growth is extremely rare even for the Magic Apprentice students. The pros and cons have mostly been determined from their birth.
[Could be relying on effort can make up for
the unfavorable situation in the end…? ]
[Why am I here in this place? ]
[Do I Really Belong Here?]
In order to avoid the gazes sent in his direction, Grey close his eyes unexpectedly, making a deaf ear in their direction.
“Excuse me, is this seat open?”

The Complete Alchemyst book 1
You've heard of superheroes, seen them flying across the sky, destroying great swaths of cities and ending countless innocent lives in order to defeat great evils and world-spanning threats and sell lots of sponsorships and merchandising opportunities. This is a story about the guy that is not those heroes. A supervillain in a world where making the right friends and political contacts is what separates the good guys from the bad. The Alchemyst is a story about a normal guy in a crazy world that spends his time trying to follow his dreams and conscience, working on new potions, thinking about girls, and lifting heavy shit, while trying to stay under the radar of the superheroes, supervillains, and governments that want what he can do. And occasionally turning them into makeshift melee weapons. If you enjoy The Boys, the Aberrant roleplaying game, Mystery Men, Trashy romances, Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, or SAW you may enjoy this book. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people.
