The main problem is that Myria and the rabbit do not have the same number of veins and arteries connected to the heart. From what I saw of the rabbit's circulatory system, it is more efficient than Myria's. So instead of messing with the heart I decide to upgrade Myria's circulatory system.

This process takes a while since I have to have Nived unfreeze each area one by one. At the same time, even though the heart isn't connected yet, I start merging the two life forces. It only works because they have a few similarities, but it does end up working.

Not only will this make Myria's body able to accept the heart easier, but it will add to her lifespan. I am sure it will have some other effects, but I don't know what they will be. All I can do is continue the procedure and hope for the best.

A lot is going to depend on Myria's ability to adapt and accept the changes. One of the main problems I am facing is my own fault, my aura keeps trying to heal the wound in Myria's chest. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to turn my aura off so I just have to keep cutting the healed areas.

It is a really good thing that Myria can't feel any of this, it would be a level of pain beyond torture. It is also hard on Nived, modifying and holding the spell is taking its toll on him. This is all delicate work so I can't rush any of it, I just have to hope he can hold on.

"Nived, how are you doing?"

Nived says "At this rate I am going to run out of mana within an hour."

"Yui, Core, can either of you support him or help refill his mana?"

Yui says "I can take over the parts of the spell that don't need to be modified."

Core says "I will try to share some mana with him."

"Great!"

Leaving them to help Nived I turn my attention back to what I am supposed to be doing. From that point on I only speak when I need Nived to change the area that is unfrozen. I may not be able to rush, but I can concentrate and make sure I don't waste any time.

As soon as I am done with the circulatory system I hook it up to the new heart. This causes the life force of the rabbit to spread quickly throughout Myria's body. Luckily, since I already started merging them, it doesn't cause any damage.

As soon as I see that the heart is functioning properly I start closing up Myria's chest. Once her chest is restored to normal I turn my attention to the image to check things out. To my delight, the rabbit's life force is merging seamlessly with Myria's.

Finally, I signal to Nived to release the spell so that Myria can wake up. As soon as she is unfrozen Myria tries to sit up, but I hold her down. When she sees that it is me holding her she instantly calms down and gives me a smile.

Myria says "So, this is what I have to do to get you to look at me naked?"

"Silly girl! How are you feeling?"

Myria says "Actually, I feel great! What did you do to me?"

"Um, I sort of had to replace your heart."

Myria says "If you wanted my heart, all you had to do was ask!"

"Can you be serious?!"

Myria says "So where did you get the heart? Did someone die to save me?"

"Only a rabbit."

Myria says "Wait, you gave me a rabbit's heart?"

As Myria gives me a confused look I touch her thigh and run my sacred power through her. The rabbit's life force is gone, it has fully integrated, and Myria's life force is stronger than ever. Both the new heart and circulatory system are working perfectly, but I do have to clean up a few things.

Mainly left over blood and scar tissue, nothing that I wasn't expecting. Honestly, everything went better than I expected, I was expecting more problems to crop up. Even now I am constantly watching the image, waiting for something to go wrong.

Myria says "If you don't stop staring at that image and start explaining I am going to hit you!"

"No sudden movements! I am still not sure if the heart is stable. Stay calm and don't do anything that will speed up your heart rate."

Myria says "If you don't explain, then I am going to get angry and my heart rate will increase!"

"Okay, okay. Calm down!"

To keep Myria from getting excited I start telling her what happened while she was frozen. Despite my attempt to keep her calm, the more I talk the faster the heart on the image beats. I am not sure if she is getting angry because she was frozen for days, or because she thinks I did something stupid.

Myria says "You idiot!!"

"What? What did I do?"

Myria says "Everyone knows the leader of the fox tribe is a powerful monster! Why would you antagonize her like that?!"

"She threatened Asuna, she is lucky I didn't kill her!"

Myria says "Are you ever going to learn to stop and think before you do things?!"

"No, probably not. But on a positive note, it looks like your new heart is working perfectly!"

Myria says "Oh? So I won't hurt myself if I smack you?"

"Probably not, at least not other than hurting your hand."

Before Myria can test out my theory, a sprite enters with a tray of food. Myria instantly forgets about hitting me, snatches the tray, and starts eating as fast as she can. From the way she devours the food I would think she was part wolf rather than bunny.

Yui says "Myria, are you still hungry?"

Myria says "Yes, starving!"

"Well, put on some clothes and we can go down to the dining room."

Nived says "I will see you down there." and quickly leaves."

Myria says "You took them off me, so you should put them back on me!"

Instead of answering and getting myself into more trouble I quickly follow after Nived. Nived and I get to the dining room a few minutes before Myria arrives. Luckily, by then the table is full of food which completely distracts Myria.

She eats like she hasn't eaten in weeks, Nived and I barely eat, we are too busy watching her. At my request Yui puts the image up again, her body is digesting everything the second it hits her stomach. The nutrients are turning into energy and flowing throughout her body at high speed.

This is not something I was expecting, nor is it something I can even explain. Thanks to the image I can see energy entering her muscles and their mass increasing. At this point I have no idea what is going on, for all I know she could even turn into a rabbit.

While that isn't likely, it is still a possibility, one among many that I can think of. Just watching all this happen, I make the decision to never attempt to replicate this procedure. Myria will remain unique, all other beastmen will go through the safe procedure.
